I was craving comfort food and decided on a mash bowl from KFC. The mix of crunchy breaded chicken, mixed with corn and mashed potatoes sounded so delicious, I couldn't wait to order it from the menu. It's the first time I've ordered from KFC in many years and my expectations were evidently set too high (I wouldn't know that until after ordering). If I'm being honest, the chicken was pretty crunchy and very flavorful and you can't really go wrong with corn so that was also a hit however... The mashed potatoes, in my opinion, were watery, tasteless and gross. They reminded me of the kind that you buy in a box and add water to. They were nowhere near what I was expecting, which was actual thick creamy buttery mashed potatoes made from REAL, fresh potatoes. I will for sure not be going back for this particular dish. The yucky mashed potatoes, coupled with the slightly rude person at the window is enough to make me skip over this location in the future. When I drove up to pick up my order from the drive-through, she didn't say anything and just handed me the bag out of the window, I asked for extra napkins, which she gave me without saying a word and when I told her to have a good night again, she said nothing, just closed the window and went back to what she was doing. Ummm... ok RUDENESS. It seems Kentucky Fried chicken is good for only one thing, fried chicken. Zero stars for zero customer service and since I can't give one and a half stars, they'll get 2 stars for the food+the less than memorable drive through experience. read more

Up here in Chico to be close for a contractor replacing the roof of a rental property. Stopped in to grab some dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. The reason I was pleasantly surprised was because of the biscuits. They were really good and, if I'm being honest, pretty darn close to the homemade ones my grandmother made when I was a kid. That's impressive considering! While I can't promise that the biscuits will be as good, stop in and give it a shot. read more

Came here yesterday because I had a Bogo coupon for the Chicken Sandwhich. There were 3 cars in line but it was quick before I was on my way & had my food. Honestly, I was pretty impressed. Bad Horrible service, got told to "wait a fucking second" after my order was messed up and i wasn't even told until the manager gave me a refund for $5 in cash after i paid in card. the manager tried to defend his worker who repeatedly messed up my order and took out her frustration on me. was frustrating but i was grateful to have fixed everything until i got home and i was missing items and nothing was how i asked. the rude cashier didn't even give me my receipt so i can't even get a refund. crazy how you let your workers act like this and also drink drinks in the window as if that shouldn't be a health hazard. they used to be a really good store but even the ratings have dropped and i understand why, there were no cars it was like 3:30 no reason i should've been treated that way read more

I was a man with a plan... A dude with a ruse. I wanted chicken, and I wanted it now. If there was ever a male version of Madonna's "Material Girl," I am your real world example of such an unfortunate reality... If they don't give me proper chicken, I just walk a-way-ay. What should have been a simple capitalist fried food transaction quickly devolved into a nightmare. As I was placing my order, the seemingly unscrupulous fellow behind me was nervously thumbing a device that beared an uncanny resemblance to technology from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." Lo, his excited digits activated the contraption, and I was struck... And transfigured into a plus size chicken beast. Pandemonium did NOT ensue. Employees were unimpressed by this development, and one of the workers even tried to capture me with a net. I was fortunate to make it out of there alive, and at first I was terrified at the prospect of having to live the rest of my life as an oversized rooster. I know that writing a review for a large chain type of restaurant is kind of silly, but I was more than a little annoyed with my last experience at this location. I ordered the 12-piece chicken strip basket dinner, and when I got home I discovered that I had only received 10-pieces of very dry chicken that had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for entirely too long. Initially, I was impressed with how fast and efficient that they put together your family dinner package, but that just means that the food was already and prepared way in advance. I spent nearly 40.00 on chicken, and then the person at the window is extremely stringy with the sauces. Everything was stale, the biscuits were like hockey pucks, the chicken was so dry that it was like leather. This place really needs to work on their quality, and customer service. read more

Worst KFC ever. They have eliminated green beans, chicken pot pies and now popcorn chicken. We have never once been there that they did not forget something on our order. Last time it was the extra mashed potatoes and gravy we paid $1.99 for after they asked if we wanted to add another side for $1.39. That means that we had to go back AGAIN to get our single mash and gravy. They have NEVER once gotten our order right...they forget silverware, napkins, butter or some other part of our order. we like KFC , but drive clear to Willows to avoid this inferior, Chico, KFC. The food here is usually pretty good. I've only had it three times. But tonight, this pregnant mama just wanted her damn mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Before we drove off, I asked the chick (who was already stuck up) if the meal I ordered came with forks. She looked at me in disgust, looked me up and down, and said "Um yeah of course they do." if I could give negative stars, this would be a -5. If you want KFC, don't order it from here and have it delivered via Grub Hub. KFC gave the incorrect order to the driver. We got the incorrect order ( 2 boxes of biscuits, corn and 12 cookies) I immediately called the restaurant. They told me they figured out they had given the wrong order to the driver ( and didn't contact Grub Huband my order was still at the store if I wanted to come pick it up. (Keep in mind this is 49 mins after I ordered it. )They said they couldn't contact the Grub Hub for a redelivery. I contacted Grub Hub and was told because the order was delivered, they couldn't do anything other than refund my money, I could place my order again, and Oh by the way... I would have my money in 3-5 days. WHAT?? I paid both KFC and Grub Hub, didn't get my food and now their keeping my money for 3-5 days? This has been a repeat issue for both KFC and Grub Hub. I will no longer use Grub Hub due to their very poor customer service, and doubt we'll eat KFC either. read more

This place cannot get an order right to save their lives. Plus they never have the food prepared you want so you have to wait forever, then you have to wait again while they fix the order they screwed up the first time. This time it took me 40 minutes to get out of there with my food to go. Also, don't even think of ordering one of the chicken pot pies they advertise so hard, they never have them ready!
