Finally we have one here in Chico! Not having ever tried Cane's chicken, I couldn't wait to try it. Went on the first day, and the place was jam packed - line well out the door. Waited patiently, got a box combo, and, well, here are my thoughts... The bread was pretty good, good texture, spongy and toasty-tasting. Buttered well. And I liked the sesame seeds on it. Fries were okay, but they were steaming and crunchy upon arrival. Chicken was also steaming. It was pretty tasty, nice crunch, decent seasoning, but it didn't wow me, as I had been expecting. Cole slaw was your typical slaw. Theirs was a little bit drier, which I prefer. Now on to the sauce. It tasted like Ranch dressing, but with a twist. Hard to explain. It worked well with the chicken and bread. The workers were all very helpful and cheerful. I would like to come back here again when it's less busy inside. I first experienced this place in Reno and loved it. So, I was super excited to see it open in Chico. The staff is always friendly, efficient and polite. The food is freshly prepared to order and delicious. I absolutely love their signature dipping sauce. read more

Confirmed, total hype fail. French fries were floppy. Sauce uninspiring. Something about the breading and frying makes the fingers really not that great. Even the kids said no good. I hate to be negative but I tried the Chico location today and it was disappointing. The fries cold, taste like they were frozen bag kind. The chicken sandwich was mid at best. Little flavor. Maybe this place is meant to serve the younger youth. Not to be taken too seriously. I personally didn't like it. Small portions of fries, came cold and they reminded me of the freezer bag ones made at home. My lemonade was delicious though. The lettuce inside my chicken sandwich was old, dark and not fresh. I'm not gonna post any pictures because I'm sure you know what chicken fingers and crinkle fries look like they're pretty much standard like you don't have to see them but I just wanna say that this is my first time trying them and I was pleasantly surprised I did the drive-through and I want to say a special shout out to DERRICK for replacing my coleslaw with the extra piece of toast. I told my son about that and he said you are a genuine hero so I thank you for that and extra crispy was perfect. The sauce is lovely. I got some ranch from My Favorite pizza joint I don't buy pizza from them, but I get their ranch it's over by my house. It's called JT's and they do make the best ranch in town. I'm not gonna lie anyway. Thanks for a fabulous dinner. The fries were phenomenal once I heated them up again and the Texas toast was yeah I'm not gonna lie. The place is hopping when you walk in. People everywhere inside and out. The service is quick even with the long lines. The food is fresh and delicious. We got the Sandwich Combo and a kids meal. The chicken looks hand breaded and was so tender and moist. This has got to be the best chicken strip I've ever eaten. I highly recommend. The unsweetened tea is sweet....Not really sure why. I got it from the unsweetened tea container. Just and FYI. The place is so busy that the tables aren't really clean but other than this the place was great! The staff were energetic and friendly. For it being a new store this actually isn't bad. I come from the bay area where there's canes everywhere! The sauce and service is great here and it's a totally amazing vibe every time I walk in! I won't lie yes the fries are not the greatest thing in the whole world but it's like that at every Canes The breading on the chicken is always perfect! The chicken is always cooked to perfection and nice and juicy! Great arnold palmers as well AND my gf loves the bread there and she's basically a bread connoisseur! Chicken was average at best, fries certainly nothing to rave about. Fast system, average at best food, price steep. I went with some friends and ordered a four piece they accidentally put in canaic, I asked for a refund and change it to the four piece I ordered and the worker pressed some buttons and then said I would get my money back. They then printed out the wrong receipt for me. When I explained this was the wrong receipt the worker rolled her eyes at me and said okay then moved on to the next customer. I then tried to confirm that they cancelled the transition and she snapped at me saying "I gave you a refund you'll get your money back." I then walked away because I could feel myself slowly getting angry. One of my friends were confused about her reaction and asked if she somehow knew me outside of the restaurant and disliked me. I get my order and am sitting down and they then call my name again so I go up and they then claim there was some sort of mistake. The next day I got a statement and they charged me $20. I had a feeling they didn't actually refund my purchasebecause to my understanding with refunds you have to retap the card. I thought maybe they updated the machine until I got the charge. Atrocious service. Their Catering login was not working. I Called the store the night before to place an order for an 11:30 am pick up the next morning. The employee over the phone took my order, I asked if I could pay over the phone, he said it wouldn't allow him do the transaction over the phone. He said just pay when you get here. The next morning, they couldn't find my order. They hadn't even started making the order. Consequently an hour and a half late they finish making it. Throw away the bread, or use it to clean up if you spill something. If you get it to go, stick it in an air fryer or oven for a few min to finish cooking the fries. They just opened this location so we decided to get it for dinner. The customer service inside was good. We got the chicken fingers box and the sandwich. We ordered it for to go. We get home and the fries are cold and not crispy. Also the Texas toast was soggy. I get it could get cold on the way home but I live down the street from here so the food should have still been hot. The sweet tea tasted like it was just sugary water. I also think they need more sauce options because not everyone likes Cane sauce. The only thing I liked at this location was the pebble ice machine they have. I used to live near a Raising Cane's in Southern California that was really good.
