Coming off of Wiles Rd in Coral Springs, I turned into the Target Parking lot and missed the immediate left into KFC. I didn't see any signs and drove around a bit until I finally found it. The restaurant only had a couple of people eating and one other in line. It was before 5 pm. One would expect food to be prepared and ready for the dinner crowd. They were all out of Crispy Chicken so I had to order the Original. I waited more than 30 minutes for the order. Why do they call it Fast Food? The Family Meal came with 12 pieces, 3 sides and biscuits. The biscuits were hard as a rock! I ordered String Beans, Cole Slaw and Mashed Potatoes to go with the meal. The food was all decent. Do you think it's acceptable to pay $34.99 ($31.99 + $3.00 for breasts) for a 12 pc and get pieces like that? I mean if that's all the chicken you've got then how about a discount or waiving the up charge for breasts?! And look at the mash potatoes! Please retrain your employees to properly whisk in the potato powder in your milk so that customers don't get the actual powder in the mash. If not, customers that complained would get a replacement or their money back. I've lived in Coral Springs for over 25 years. This KFC has been around for a while and it's our "local" kfc. The person that you have today working the window, was rude, and after had a "I don't care" attitude. She gave me the food and immediately shut the window. You can't see the window, because it's blocked up with advertisements. Not cool! After 30 seconds or so, with me still at the windows, she opens the window and asked me if anything is wrong. I said no, but you didn't even wait for any questions before closing the window. While I was talking to her, she closed the windows on me again. So I decided to leave a review. I came with coupons in hand and waited a long time at the counter to order. Given what has happened here in the past, I begged KFC to make mine a For Here order. While waiting I investigated the Iced tea situation and saw both urns, as I could have predicted given what's happened here in past, were empty. To my surprise the order was placed on a Tray for me to eat "here," as I asked. I ordered grilled Chicken 2 piece meal. A fork was given to me but no knife. When I realized I needed a knife I went to the counter to get a knife but, to my dismay, despite repeated attempts I could not get an employee to help me so I gave up. Being that Popeyes or any fried chicken place is kind of far away from where we live, my family decided to give KFC a shot. Recently KFC released thier own chicken sandwhich, so I as actually kind of excited. Going inside tonight, dining inside was closed, so we had no choice, but to take our food to go. We ordered 1 extra Crunchy fried chicken meal (Mash potatoes & Coleslaw), 2 Chicken Minis with KFC Fries, and 1 spicy chicken sandwhich. Moving right into today's review, as stated by my rating above, I felt like our meal(s) were kind of a let down. Although, the fried/Breaded chicken skin actually had a really nice spiced flavor profile, the chicken didn't taste tender or moist as one would expect. This was especially true I felt for the chicken sandwhich, which also was lacking a good foundation of the spicy sauce making it pretty dry. Moreover, I was even more dissapointed after noticing that our servers messed up our order, as the coleslaw we requested was not in our bag. Overall, I learned tonight that sometimes the best places are worth the extra mile! So, if you're craving fried chicken, I recommend going to Popeyes or Krispy Krunchy Chicken instead. read more

What's worse? The fact that the employees don't follow food safety guidelines or the fact that the managing partner is taking the orders and not paying attention to how they're being filled? I ordered my food and while waiting, I watched two employees using their bare hands (that means without gloves) to touch items that come in contact with food that customers eat. What makes things worse is that when a customer points it out, the employees get defensive like they're correct. I love KFC. It's my fast food go to. This specific KFC does NOT honor corporate specials, deals, etc. This has been my experience, the several times that I've given this location business. If you want the typical KFC experience without disappointment: I highly recommend to give all of your business to a different/ better quality location. This location likes to make up their own rules. I'm not sure if it's just the POOR management, or the actual owner: nonetheless, the employees have continuously blamed the lack of quality and inconstancy with corporate specials, deals, and offers on to them. I have been sitting in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes so far and only have moved up in line (which extends around the building) two times. Only 2 cars served in 20 minutes?? Dan I Cook Chicken Strip Dinner Loser:( Ok I decided to do my own taste test. I compared Chik Fil A to my favorite fast food chicken joint, KFC. The reason behind this was because of all the boycott talks and free speech issues revolving around CFA. I'm really not into CFA's food except for the waffle fries and the shakes but I've only eaten there maybe 5 times in my life. With that said, I decided to see how the food matched up. I ordered a chicken strip meal with fries and coleslaw from each place. in addition, I made my son participate in a blind tasting too. For my son I placed the chicken from KFC with the waffle fries and the CFA with the steak fries just to switch things up. My son had the CFA plate first and right away he said this was CFA. He said he could tell by the taste. I was impressed. He tried the KFC plate and he said they were ok but CFA was better tasting. He said both fries were good but he like KFC better. He didn't eat the coleslaw because it doesn't like it. As for me, I tried both and CFA strips were way better. First thing was it tasted like chicken and not breading. The bread coating for CFA has a sweet taste but it didn't over power the chicken. The waffle fries were outstanding and they were cooked perfect. The coleslaw was a little creamy for me but the flavor was ok. KFC's chicken was very dry and just coated with breading. Not sure if I got a bad batch but I don't remember these strips being so $hitty. KFC's coleslaw was much better. Not as creamy and all the components are diced small and it has a nice sweet flavor to it. Actually, KFC is my favorite coleslaw of all time. The fries were just ok and I did get a biscuit with my meal. The biscuit was butter, flaky, and good. Service at both places were excellent so that was not an issue or the cleanness. In a nutshell. This is about CHICKEN and even though I was pulling for KFC, Chik Fil A makes a superior Chicken Strip Meal. I'm not going to recommend the Chicken Strips at KFC but everything that came with the meal is still good. Remember to tell them Dan sent you minus the strips and Stay Hungry! read more
