Burger Fi has always held a special place in my heart. It is a fast casual hamburger chain known for their hormone and antibiotic free angus beef, sweet concretes made with frozen custard, and they also serve beer and wine. The first restaurant opened in 2011 in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in a former Burger King. I have been to that location and many others in the area through the years. They have now grown to over 120 restaurants in 20 states and internationally. You know when you swear you wrote a review but there isn't one? Well that is what happened here. I have been to this BurgerFi in The Walk so many times with friends or just to get a quick meal to bring home. This location literally got my daughter through her vegetarian phase with the VegeFi burger. I ended up at this BurgerFi on a rainy evening craving a burger. I had a great meal in Dania Pointe earlier this year and was really looking to treating myself. While ordering I noticed that prices have gone way up. The cry and fry, their signature onion rings and fries has gone 60-70 percent! It was almost $9 for three onion rings and a few fries. The real crime was that it wasn't even that good. I may cry as I write this but that was my last one. The onion rings are typically oversized and these weren't. When it was priced at $5 I used to be given such a large portion that my whole family would share it. Now it was one large onion ring and two small ones and a few measly fry ends at the bottom. The burger that was over $10 and slopped together wasn't much better. Customer service also missed the mark. when I was ordering I said and I wanted a fry and cry to which the cashier replied in a snarky tone oh you want a cry and fry? I am really disappointed in you BurgerFi. They recently came out of bankruptcy and I can see why. Had a great visit to BurgerFi. The place is always clean, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the music is a vibe. Teri was working behind the counter and she is amazing! It's refreshing to talk with someone who is genuine, helpful, and goes the extra mile for guests. She helped ring me up for the veggie burger and sweet potato waffle fries. It was my first time trying the fries and they were delicious, super crispy. They even come with a side of cinnamon sugar, which is a nice touch. The veggie burger is my favorite. The pepper jack cheese on it is so good. The meal was perfect in price, portion, and temperature. Highly recommend this location, and say hi to Teri for me! read more

I sat in the lobby to enjoy my bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fries. The lobby could've used some cleaning. Wasn't horrible, but small things here and there. Walking towards the bathroom I could smell the worst stench. In the bathroom it was the strongest. The bathrooms looked clean, but they had the worst smell ever. I used to like this BurgerFi. Today we went and saw signs all over saying, "under new management." Okaaaay.. maybe it will be better? The kids chicken tenders tasted good but otherwise, no. The burgers were not good and the order didn't come out right. No truffle on the fries, no honey mustard for the chicken tenders, no bacon jam on the CEO burger. And the burger meat is gray, flavorless, and dry. The top of the bun was really wet and falling apart. All of our fries were overcooked. The sprite literally tasted like soap. The cashier tried it and, to her surprise, agreed. No idea how that could happen. My child drank most of it! There were also no knives, no iced tea, no root beer, and broken dispensers. The ordering machine was slow and annoying (the other one was broken). The "owner" was dismissive and unhelpful when I showed him my burger. He asked what I wanted to be done but was clearly not trying to solve anything. I said at least an apology and to recognize the problems. He said that the woman making the food already apologized (not to me). I asked for a new bun only. He said he would make it again. I said, no thank you - the young woman making it may not have been trained properly but she did an awful job. She did give me a new toasted bun. Later, they brought over a new CEO burger before we were to leave. It was still overly greasy (though much hotter). I went up to ask what was happening and she apologized and said we are very backed up with deliveries and orders I only have one cook. She failed to mention this to us when we started ordering. Everyone that came in after us she yelled out that there will be a 30 minute or more wait for orders dining in. I also was very upset with the quality and how greasy everything was when we got it. I came in on a Saturday evening for my birthday freebie! I noticed they have added screens where you can order your food, I waited in the line to order my food with an employee just cause I'm old school. I was stuck between the mocha coffee and cookies and cream! She suggested the mocha coffee if I'm more into bitter coffee, so I went with the cookies and cream! The service was quick my shake was made within 5 minutes! The inside was very clean as well as the outside. I sat outside because the weather was so nice. I enjoyed every sip of my shake! The only redeeming quality was the food was definitely decent. Is it worth paying $35.58 for two sandwiches and fries? No. It's not. Would probably never come back again...note to staff and management, if you are so cheap that you can't provide even a paper cup to quests who prefer to get water from the fountain machine...then you probably shouldn't have a business. This kind of greed disgusts me. Also, I understand the staff need money, but asking to give a tip to staff when I order the food myself, swipe my card myself, pickup my order myself because they call my name and throw away my garbage myself is ludicrous. What was once a clean, enjoyable, and reliable spot has now become a cautionary tale of mismanagement, neglect, and unacceptable risks to customer safety. I dined at 8pm on Friday, September 26th, 2025. From the moment I walked in, it was clear something was wrong. The dining room and ordering counter were untidy--greasy surfaces, old napkins, dusty fixtures. My father always said, "If the front of a restaurant looks dirty, imagine the back." That thought haunted me throughout the night. The cashier struggled with a malfunctioning iPad instead of the standard POS system, leaving customers waiting far too long. The staff--young kids clearly left to manage the store alone--were doing their best, but there was no sign of management . The ordering area was a mess: dusty card holders, soiled napkins, cups covering the beer taps (apparently "out," though likely because nobody was old enough to serve). Even the soda station was sticky, oversprayed, and out of stock on several options--worse yet, employees were using it casually while customers waited in line. The floor was greasy and covered in rags. There were kid menus and no crayons. Ripped seats. A clear overture for what was yet to come. When my order finally came, it was wrong. The cashier had rung in a plain burger instead of the cheeseburger I asked for. No utensils were provided--I had to dig out a broken knife from a jammed dispenser to cut my daughter's chicken tenders. And then came the worst moment: her chicken was undercooked. I immediately returned to the counter, terrified that my child could be sick from eating raw chicken. The young woman helping me was kind but powerless. With no manager in the building, nobody could issue a refund. Instead, I was asked to scribble my information on the back of my receipt. Let me be very clear: there was not a single manager in the restaurant on a Friday night during dinner rush. This is not just poor service--this is dangerous. The restaurant was filthy, the staff was untrained and unsupported, and the food was unsafe. I am left hoping my daughter doesn't get salmonella from what should have been a simple kid's meal. To the credit of the young employee who kept her cool and tried her best--thank you. But this is not her fault. This is a total collapse of management, training, and corporate oversight. Final warning: I will never return. This location is no longer clean, safe, or reliable. Customers deserve better, and families certainly should not have to fear food poisoning from a kid's meal. The place wasn't busy, yet my food just sat on the counter while staff stood around. When I finally got my order, all the burgers were made wrong. I went back in to fix them and asked for a manager, but was told none was even there. On top of that, the Cajun fries had no seasoning and were cold by the time I got home. No one brought it to our table like they were supposed to. I hadn't even eaten all day. Third time's the charm? Nope. I bite into what should've been my green-style vegan burger and it's covered in BurgerFi sauce (which has mayo). I go back in, ask for the manager -- who I had already spoken to earlier -- and the guy couldn't care less. No apology. No accountability. Just blank stares and a dismissive "you'll have to wait a minute, bro." Wait for what? It's national cheeseburger day, buy one cheeseburger get one for $1. The staff, one would imagine would be overwhelmed but not at all. They were handling the chaos like champions. We did us the self service station to place our order. That went smoothly. We got our food in a timely manner. The young lady that delivered it didn't even say a word. The dining area needed to be cared to. We had to wipe down our table and seats. You can tell it's been a while since a good overall cleaning. The huge ceiling fan is greasy and dirty. This is a review of a pickup order from Burgerfi. This order was a new item I tried called Patty Melt, which is a burger topped with grilled onions with two (2) slices of cheese on sandwich bread. I also had the delightful fries made from real potatoes and a dispensed soft drink. The food was ready in under thirty minutes after I ordered it on the mobile app. Everything tasted good and the patty melt was made the way patty melts (a diner staple) are supposed to be made and I thought it was tasty. The fries tasted fresh and complimented the burger. The drink was also good. I had a Reward which made this delightful meal very affordable. read more

Very disappointed with my visit to this location. The girl bringing us our food was on a personal call on SPEAKER PHONE. Also, had no gloves or hair net on while preparing to make my shake and all of her long, blonde hair was hanging down her back and shoulders. She kept using her hair to push it back WHILE in the process of making my shake so I politely requested a refund. Except that it wasn't as good as I am used to at BurgerFi. Normally I would definitely give it five stars but there was a strange taste to the burger and the fries that kind of stayed with me. A bit of a burny taste; perhaps meat gets made on the same grill or something like that; I was the only one noticing it, being quite sensitive to different nuances. I've been coming to burger fi for years. They're fairly consistent. I love that they use natural ingredients. Service is usually hit or miss but that's to be expected in a fast casual environment from a big chain. I usually order a build your own double burger. I switch between their American and white cheddar for the cheese. I always opt for their multigrain bun (very nice they have this as an option). I add lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions (raw and sautéed) and burger fi sauce. Sometimes I'll add either egg, bacon and/or relish. 5/5 The quality of the the food is usually on point. The food comes out quickly as well. Their fries and hot dogs are also delicious. I really appreciate that the quality of the food has remained the same throughout covid 19. I feel a lot of similar chains have started buying cheaper materials and it shows. I will continue being a regular here. read more

Went to Burger Fi for the first time in a while. I waited patiently second in line for about five minutes. When I stepped up to the cashier, she told me she was very busy and that I should go use the ordering kiosk. If not, she had things to do and the wait to take my order would be taken in another five to ten minutes. I went to the kiosk to order two single cheeseburgers. The only option on the screen was for double cheeseburgers. I went back to wait for the cashier. She was visibly upset and rude for having to take my order in person. When I went to pick up my receipt, I was told to keep my hands off of "her things" until she handed it to me (She said "I don't touch your stuff, don't touch my stuff") The burger was overcooked and the tomato listed on the menu was missing. I have to start this review off with the fact I don't like criticizing food unless the experience really stuck out for something negative. Unfortunately this was one of those cases! I ordered a regular burgerfi burger with a side of onion rings and a side of fresh cut fries. Everything is served al a carte which is interesting to say the least. No combos so for the price you are paying you are definitely not getting a good value. I am fine with that as long as the quality is there that justifies the higher prices. When it arrived to my table it looked amazing. The downside is that it looked way better than it tasted. The burger was severely lacking toppings. It should include an onion or some more burgerfi sauce because it was also very dry. The beef just didn't taste like how a fresh burger would taste. I knew something was quite off with this order and unfortunately I was right yet again. I got really sick from the burger later that day and I vowed I'd never eat burgerfi for a very long time if ever again. I did enjoy the onion rings and the fresh cut fries, but then again it would be hard to mess up those items at a burger restaurant. Considering there are burger places all around the area with a similar price range I would suggest every other place but burgerfi! Five guys is just a block away and it is a much better burger with much more toppings made to order for the same price!
