Veranda kitchen actually began 20 years ago in Maine as a family owned restaurant serving up authentic Thai and Vietnamese dishes . This site is the 5th variation of their restaurant concepts . We came on Tuesday night and it was quiet but this did not last long. I believe the last restaurant occupying this spot was a diner but you would have never known! They completely re-did the inside with flower walls, cutesy phrases and a modern Asian aesthetic. The ambiance can be family friendly or even romantic . I'll take both ;) Appetizers: Chicken Satay... the chicken was fresh but lacked flavor without the peanut dipping sauce. Luckily the peanut dipping sauce was so delicious I could drink it. Crab ragoon: smooth cream cheese, tender crab meat in a crispy wonton shell. They were delicious and very fresh . Main dishes: I had the Pho Combo . It was a noodle soup with rare steak, well done flank and a meatball. The broth was delicious and the portion was massive . My companion had the vermicelli grilled beef noodle salad. This comes with thin rice noodles , fresh lettuce, carrots and other various veggies. I never have tried a dish like this before and it was light, refreshing and surprisingly filling. Dessert: They were out of many of the others So we ordered a key lime pie. I doubt they make this in house but it was delicious tap kudos to whoever their supplier is. Service was excellent. It's a more upscale Vietnamese restaurant with prices that reflects it. A seafood pho was $30. The most I've paid for pho. Besides that, the $24 vermicelli with pork chop was pretty good and decent portion. I would come back for the dry noodle maybe not the seafood pho. Overall pretty good. read more

So I decided to order takeout here and pick it up. I think it's nice the way the place is set up on the inside. The young lady that checked me out was very nice. I ended up ordering the grilled beef over rice. With the side of crab Rangoon. This wasn't the meal for me. The grilled steak was very lemony. And that's not something I would want to experience again. The crab Rangoon on the other hand was OK a bit on the sweeter side. I'm just not a fan of sweet crab Rangoon. We ordered Veranda take out and found it to ok. We ordered an XL Pho, which resulted in bowls for two people. However the XL size seemed small compared to Pho portion sizes I've experienced at other restaurants, especially for the price. In terms of flavor, the Pho was tasty, but perhaps would have been better if we had dined in. We also ordered two appetizers: chicken spring rolls and the crab rangoon. I would absolutely order the crab rangoon again as they were delicious and a good portion (6) for the price. The spring rolls, however, we found to be extremely dry due to the chicken and I would not order these again. I REALLY liked their pad thai. That is how I judge a Thai place, and this one was very tasty and flavorful. We went for dinner with friends and everyone liked their food. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful so we decided to sit outside. The restaurant was quiet and it was very nice to enjoy it outside. Service was adequate. First time here and first time eating Tai food and it was terrific. The place is clean comfortable and the staff was exceptional. We had spring rolls and dumplings to start and we loved them both. Wife had chicken and beef curry and said it was super tasty. I had duck in a sweet/sour sauce and loved it. They have some wines that were ok but not enough to lower my rating. Let me start by saying this is our second time to the Veranda Kitchen and Bar and on both occasions, we really enjoyed the food very much. Before I start, I have to confess I only got one photo of one dish for which I apologize, but that will give me a chance to come back again lol ! The first time we came here with friends and had a really good meal different from any other Thai restaurant that we have dined at in the area. The menu is extensive, and the flavors are spot on ! Basically a shrimp spring roll that decided to level up. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Just straight bussin. Pan fried dumplings were textbook perfect. Like someone's grandma taught the kitchen squad how to do it. Legit crispy, chewy, no weak bites here. Then came the grilled shrimp. Yo. This thing was wild. Packed with flavor, grilled just right. Had that smoky char that makes you close your eyes and nod like yeah, this is it. Tried the Crispy Bird Nest and swapped the squid for chicken. That thing came out looking like a crunchy noodle fortress. Stacked with fresh veggies and that juicy chicken. Fire move. No regrets. Scallops came in heavy. Thick, tender, buttery. Just melting in the mouth. And more of those juicy shrimp because apparently I couldn't stop. And the crazy part is I haven't even touched the pho yet. Which honestly might just unlock a whole new level when I do. Bottom line. Veranda isn't playing around. If you're trying to eat good, post up here and let the flavors do their thing. Craving Vietnamese and didn't want to drive to Davie to our very favorite place, so we looked for one closer to home, and tried Veranda. It was early, so not very busy. Super clean, nicely set tables, great service, and a HUGE menu! I am not a Thai eater bc I feel like everything has lemongrass, not my favorite, but the Vietnamese options were extensive! We had a pretty simple meal - pho and spring rolls with just shrimp - perfectly seasoned, abundance of raw veggies (our favorite part!), and all the regular accoutrements. We went here for lunch. They're still working out a few kinks in this new venue. We were greeted on entering and given menus. It took a while between giving our drinks order -- which was water -- and anyone coming to take our lunch order. We watched an Asian gentleman eat his pho and leave almost all of it in his bowl. I'm not sure why. The staff was friendly but not that trained. One gal hovered over us as my husband was paying. It was a bit uncomfortable. We started by sharing a fresh shrimp roll. It was cut in four pieces. It was okay (not much shrimp) although different from most other ones we've had in the past. Each piece had a large scallion in it. And there was a small dish of peanut sauce on the side. My husband had their tom yum seafood soup. He said the flavor was very good, but the seafood was a bit overcooked and chewy. I tried one of their lunch specials. I'd never tried the radnar (radna) noodles -- they're wide and flat. They were good but I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be as soft and mushy as they were. I got the dish with pork as I'd read that was the traditional Thai street food version. Along with the cooked pork were some veggies -- broccoli, carrots, tomato, snow pea pods, water chestnuts, green/red peppers, and bamboo shoots. All was in an overly generous portion of brown sauce. A new delicious spot at The Walk in Springs. Veranda offers a wide selection of Vietnamese cuisine, perhaps most notably (and my favorite) pho. We came here one Tuesday as a party of 8 and luckily we were seated right away. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, and he got our orders out quick. We ordered some appetizers, calamari and shrimp rolls. I didn't try the calamari but the shrimp rolls were good, they had a nice crunch in the outer layer but filled with good flavor inside. I got pho with beef flank as my main entree. It was delicious and the perfect meal for the (momentary) cold weather we had that night. Plus, the portion sizes for all the dishes were great for the price. All in all, Veranda is another fantastic addition to the array of restaurants we have in Coral Springs. read more

Stop by! Great for dates or families. Nice 1st visit. Mixed drink was a failure, stick to prepared beer, wine. Zero liquor in drink and after I complained the waitress said, "oh well its how we do it" Sweet waitress, just lacks training. Duck curry was good. Birdsnest was beautiful, fresh but zero flavor. Bland stirfry dish. The flavor is on par with Pei Wei. I love thai, asian but this is not the best but its clean, nice spot, easy in/out but no " wow factor" on any dish or drink. Everything we try it was perfect seasoned not to salty or no to sweet the balance they had on their food It was pretty good. We try a lot of different dishes from appetizer to Maine. I try a little off everything I couldn't pick up a favor. I have the blue ocean which is a seafood dish. I love it the calamari it was really fresh. My husband and I have eaten at least 10 times at veranda, kitchen and bar. We're addicted! we have only eaten the Thai food and it's amazing! in the last 10 days we went twice with two different couples and they were so impressed with the restaurant and the food. I have tried several different dishes there, and each one was better than the last! Service is very good. The place is beautiful and the food is awesome. Next time we'll give the Vietnamese menu a try, if it's anything like the Thai food I can't wait. What a great addition to Coral Springs . The Thai Basil flavors toook us back to our trip to SE Asia. The kids chicken lo mein dish was huge and perfect for 2 (maybe even 3) The ambiance wonderful with great decor and insta worthy pics. Craft cocktails. You can tell they spent a fortune building this out--and it shows. Why "Veranda" for a Thai-Vietnamese spot? Their original restaurant is on Veranda Street in Portland, Maine! The food? Excellent across the board. Everything is made in-house. * The Shrimp Bikini appetizer is a knockout--perfectly crispy and flavorful. * Dumplings have a super tasty filling (would love to have them fried next time instead of steamed--thick skin). * Pho is loaded with aromatic herbs and high-quality beef--one of the best I've had locally. And the cocktails? Wild. There's a TomYum drink with galangal, lemongrass, Thai chili, kaffir lime leaves, Stoli Lime vodka, tequila, lemonade, and lime juice. It's no joke--delicious, intense, and unforgettable. It's also spicy due to the muddled chile pepper, but they can tone it down on request. Prices are a bit higher than those at other Vietnamese and Thai places nearby, but you're getting high-quality food and a beautiful atmosphere. This place has all the makings of a Coral Springs favorite if locals show them love. My friend chose this spot for her bday dinner. It was a Monday night, the place was pretty quiet and there were only a few other people there. There are a lot of windows so the place was quite bright inside. We were seated right away and were brought a bottle of water, and the server gave us a few moments to look over the menu. My friend ordered the Shrimp Bikini appetizer and then couldn't decide between the lemongrass chicken, the red curry and the green curry. Our server was helpful in answering her questions and she ultimately decided on the green chicken curry. The dish was delicious but my friend preferred a bit more spiciness to it, and upon expressing this our server brought over some chili sauce to bump up the heat a bit. I got the Tai Nam Pho and they brought the aromatics to go in it, and although the bowl was large it didn't have much noodles in it. The broth was tasty, but I did request more cilantro and added quite a bit of sriracha and hoisin sauce. The service was great here and I'd like to come back to try some of their other dishes. Amazing place. Kinda hidden in the walk but incredible food and great prices. The crab rangoons were extremely and crispy, the fresh roll was light and had a very thick peanut sauce that was to die for. The Nampik Pao was completely new to me but had great flavor.
