This combination restaurant is pretty good. If you're craving chili cheese dogs, burgers, fries, yummy cheese curds or fried chicken, they'll take care of you! I especially love that you can mix and match the side items. I like A&W - their fried cheese curds are my favorites! KFC isn't my favorite, but I have been known to enjoy their chicken, potato wedges and mashed potatoes. Some thoughts on A&W: Their coney dogs are yummy with beanless chili and yummy cheese! Burgers are good, but not spectacular. Chili cheese fries are good. The fried cheese curds are one of the best sides ever! Some thoughts on KFC: The biscuits are disappointing. Ordering inside gets you more accurate results than going through the drive thru - they don't always mention that there are options (e.g., I ordered a "snacker" thinking I would get a crispy chicken strip with mayo & lettuce on a little bun. I got a original-recipe chicken strip with some type of flavored sauce & lettuce - the wrapper listed options for buffalo & bbq which were never offered.). KFC! Ok it's a combo location with A&W, and that's not a terrible thing. Makes solid business sense. Hard to satisfy a craving for fried chicken when there are a scant few options. We come here now and then for the chicken. It's like any other KFC. The chicken was good. The biscuits however were a tad stale. Mac and cheese showed signs of sitting for a while. It wasn't bad (according to wife and kids). The service is good. The drive thru always seems busy. My daughter likes the A&W hot dogs. The fried aren't bad, I miss KFC potato wedges tho. Very dissatisfied. Poor customer service. Came back through drive thru three times because they didn't give me everything I ordered after waiting in the parking lot for our food. They don't check the bags and Drive thru clerk/"manager" was being rude and did not believe my complaint. Sucks no other manager was around to bring my complain to. Ok, I really like the KFC original recipe but not all KFC's are the same. I didn't eat breakfast and had to do some grocery shopping. I figured I would grab a quick bite to eat before I go in so I don't buy out the store. I usually always get the Doubleicous sandwich. An original recipe chicken breast topped with 2 strips of bacon with their special sauce on a Hawaiian sweet bread burger bun. Normally this is delicious. This particular KFC unfortunately is not watching their hold times. My chicken was not hot and the texture made me feel like it was past its hold time. I once waited over 20 minutes for a pretty simple order of grilled chicken, a pot pie, and cake. I waited and waited until I finally asked them what the hold up was. It turns out they thought I left! WTF! - They employ the worst people at this location. Besides lacking basic courtesy, they frequently screw up orders. Any simple replacement will be messed up. Wanted to try a smokey mountain BBQ chicken little. Expecting to get a little sandwich with a piece of chicken covered with that sauce cause that's how it's portrayed in the picture, but what I got was a plane piece of chicken with a little smear of the sauce. Wow this place is ridiculous. Went there tonight for dinner. Lobby full of people but doors are locked and a sign on the door saying drive-thru open, but understaffed so lobby is closed. So we went to the drive-thru, sat at the speaker for 5 minutes with radio silence from their end. I finally pulled forward to the window where the 3 people standing around doing nothing acknowledged me but said nothing. Finally after another two minutes the girl came to ask what I needed. I asked if I could order and she didn't even know. Was given the go ahead to take our order but, after I ordered said oh there's a long wait on chicken, cause they got busy. Needless to say, we left. Went to KFC for the 10 piece chicken hot wings at the drive thru. I was notified that it would be a 10 minute wait. I said "OK, I'll wait at the front of the restaurant". Then, as I was paying I noticed a young man reach for a short round KFC box, then proceeded to use his uncleaned hands to pull chicken winglettes out of the box and place them in a small rectangular box and gave the box to the drive thru attendent for me. The food was barely warm and turned out to be the worst old chicken hot wings I've purchased to date! I like chicken but this has forced me to boycott this Hillsboro KFC location. read more

Ridiculous! Went through drive thru. The young man working looked like it was torture for him to be working. He didn't say one word to me. Before I left the lot, realized I had a missing drink, no silverware, no napkin, no straw and no cookie. I went in to get these items and after the young girl realized this was all forgotten in the drive thru, she gave me a drink cup and said "all your other missing items are over there" There was no apology or even recognition that she should say something about all the mixups. After attempting to eat the chicken tenders and biscuit (that was torn in 3 pieces) that were all hard as a rock, I've made the decision that this is the last time I'll eat at KFC. I really wish I could give this place zero stars. I always ask for fresh wings because I once got them so cold from here that I had to microwave them when I got home and I only live 5 minutes away. They said the would make a fresh batch and then try to give me my order in 3 minutes. I know that isn't right. Then they had me wait at the counter just ignoring me hoping that I would go away and just be satisfied with what they gave me. I asked if they could make a fresh batch, but instead of being honest and telling me no, they faked it. They had me wait for 15 minutes pretending to make the wings. Trust me, I know what a fresh batch is because that is what I always order. I watched as 3 groups had to come back and ask for the rest of their order because these people forgot to place it in their bags. Yes, the customers actually all ordered from inside the restaurant and not the drive thru. When I finally got my fake hot wings, they forgot the rest of my order as well and I had to ask for it. If you can't do anything extra for your customers then just be honest about it. It will be our choice if we decide to stay and order or leave. Don't try to fool people. It's just sad that you can't give a crap about your customers. I will go to the other KFC on TB Highway. I know it's a bit of a drive, but at least they can be honest to their customers and give a crap. The immediately sent me a canned response, but included in that response was a chance to have the local franchisee contact me. Sean (I hope I have that right) called me that day and we had a very nice conversation about the restaurant and his challenges since taking over about three months ago. He was very apologetic, and seemed to take my criticism as it was intended- a chance to see a shortcoming and fix it. He has offered to buy me a meal in his restaurant, and I shall take him up on that and report back. We all make errors, but it is how we respond that matters. read more

Or was it we were so hungry all else was ignored? According to my lovely companion this has become the KFC to beat so far, and I am including all locations nationwide. The corn was not mushy, the original chicken cooked to almost perfection, the cole slaw fresh and nice, the mashed potatoes and gravy just like the dr. ordered, drinks at the establishment with plenty of carbonation. We bought the 10 piece meal with the promotional two extra large sides for a total of 4. The macaroni and cheese was also very good and the biscuits with butter enticing. So there I go, praising the culinary delights of a KFC, but this one in Oregon.
