    Great Italian Pilsner
    Rick K.

Great first visit to ABV Public House. We have been wanting to go there for some time, but finally did the other night. Trent was phenomenal. He explained the IPA's for my wife and I was convinced that I would also enjoy the Italian Pilsner by his recommendation that was on tap. They were perfect. The music was also an excellent match for great food and service. The food was also excellent. As Trent told us, "people may like the beer, but it is the food that they will come back for" So true. We started with the Southern Fried Pickles...oh my...so good. And the accompanying sauces of BBQ and Ranch had flavor and were perfect for dipping. My wife had a cup of Beer Cheese Soup and a House Salad. The soup was great, but still not as good as Stanford's served in the day. The accompanying Pretzel Roll was so good. She was also enamored with the dressing for the salad. The Chef even came out to explain the ingredients to her. I had the Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich with French Fries. This was a sandwich I would not normally order, but the 3 cheeses, bacon and tomato made it so tasty. We will definitely be back as I have already told a few friends how good ABV is.

    fiddy fiddy burger is Bomb!

Fiddy Fiddy burger was killer!! 1/2 beef 1/2 bacon with carmelized onion and blue cheese.... the flavor was off the charts !! Waffle cut sweet potato fries are dangerously good!!Funky little spot with killer food. Service was good , definitely worth checking this place out.

    Margherita pizza w/black olives.

A friend recommended this place to us and that we had to try their burgers. They were definitely tasty especially the bleu habanero. The sweet potato waffle fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful, not too salty. The only disappointment was the Margherita pizza which was actually bland. The crust was pale and underbaked. There was too much sauce and the basalmic was heavy handed which made any promising flavors disappear. Would not recommend this place for their pizza. Next time I'll try the wings and a pretzel as both looked like better options. Public coast blueberry cider and the Helvetia mango cider were both delicious and refreshing. Glad they offer a variety of ciders. Service was great. It was a busy night with large groups seated. The high ceilings made conversation easy and not too noisy.

This open seating restaurant is an easy place with great servers for meeting up for happy hour! Especially with the selection of drinks for anyone in your group. Don't miss out on their appetizers, the hummus platter is a great combination of fresh bread and delicious spreads!

We've been coming here for 7+ years, since before we actually moved to Oregon, so I can't believe I haven't left a review until now. Maybe I was subconsciously trying to keep this hidden gem to ourselves. :) And it really is a hidden gem. Hidden in plain sight within a business park. You have to be looking for it to discover it, which I love. It's a very casual place, totally unassuming from the outside. Upon entering you are greeted by the kitchen to your left where there is usually food on the bar waiting to be delivered to its destination. You are welcome to seat yourself and peruse the beer fridge wall, which surrounds the right side of the dining room. Food is always good and on this occasion it was really good. We both ordered burgers, the Oklahoma for me and the Wagyu for my husband. And wow, the grilled onions on the smash burger patties with American cheese and secret sauce, reminded me of my favorite In-N-Out burger, but better because of the perfectly cooked bacon, making it my new favorite burger in Hillsboro. :) We also got the grilled Cesar to share which is always a hit. I love the chargrilled taste of the lettuce and the lemon wedges add nice acidity to the creamy dressing. ABV is great for all occasions, big or small, from happy hour to date night, or if you're solo or with a big group. Enjoy!

Clam pizza, half with bacon & half without. It's a delicious delight!

This is a very secret culinary gem. Tucked away in an industrial park, with no signage other than a tiny A-frame on the sidewalk, you have to really search to find this place. It's worth the trouble. 34 taps and hundreds of bottles of beer make for a beer lovers paradise. That's great! Tape #7 had a marvelous wild ale with cherries, The Kreik. It paired perfectly with the amazing clam pizza. The food is elevated from common pub grub. Thought and love have gone into its making. The result is delicious! Get the clam pizza half with bacon, so you have both tastes. It will change the way you consider pizza, it's that good! There's axe throwing there, but it's the pizza throwing that makes it a destination.

Omg!!!! ABV finally has cocktails. I'm so exited and they're tasty. The food here is always good. The pizza is phenomenal. The pork shanks with Korean bbq, yum. If you haven't been for a while, check them out again. They also offer axe throwing on site.

Good food and cool atmosphere, sadly the service was really poor. We were a party of 7, and we almost had to beg for attention, after 20 min of being seated the server came to ask our drinks order. Then 20 minutes later for the appetizers.. the actual food was a longer waiting time, he came to take our order but apologize saying that he wasn't mean to be rude but he was going to take an small table order first and then he would take ours.. he took at least 30 min to came back. They were 7 plates, and I asked sweet potatoes instead of regular fries and I didn't have sweet potatoes, another person in my party asked for some custom stuff in her sandwich who also got ignore it. Even with the really lack of service all the food was tasty. Maybe they don't have enough personal, or we just picked a bad night to go.

Does this place offer gluten free food and drink options?

Yes. It's mostly bar food but a fun place to hang out out. The axe 🪓 throwing is cool and different.

Does this place get pretty crowded/loud?

It can get very busy weekend evenings. I once waited an hour for a table.

Miss opportunity I thought. The Skippy burger was good -- but some bacon and a spicy sriracha or something would make it better, and less sweet. Chicken burger was good. Don't remember the 4th burger (sorry). I also wish they offered a different green -- they only have arugula which I do not enjoy -- so the salad did nothing for me. Pot stickers were great! Would try again if ever in the area.

For the Ahi Poke Tuna - Glad I asked for the sauces on the side. Even with three sauce options, none really worked with the dish. One dark sauce tasted almost like molasses, overly sweet and not something you expect with poke. The chili sauce was also too sweet, while the soy-based sauce tasted excessively salty (fish sauce maybe added in it). I added malt vinegar myself just to balance the flavor. Also, it would be nice if the fish was seasoned with salt(or something) to alter the fishy flavor. The Fish & Chips was average at best. The batter was uneven, with some parts way too thick, though the fries were okay. Experience was not horrible, server was nice and ambiance inside is pretty. I just think the kitchen needs real work.

This building is part of the old Imbrie farm, which goes all the way back to the mid-1800s. I've never had a bad meal at McMenamin's. The building is beautiful. It definitely has that "roadhouse" vibe.". I was seated and served quickly. I decided to go with the hokey poke nachos. Which is a seasonal summer dish. It had marinated tuna, poke, (the sauce was amazing, I'm not sure of everything that was in the sauce, but I could taste the sesame oil. it did not overpower anything else on the dish, but I knew it was there.). It also had Chips, Cucumber-Pickled Ginger Tsukemono, which is a Japanese relish, green onions, and sesame seeds, and it had both a wasabi aïoli and a Sriracha aïoli drizzle. asked for the sauces on the side, because I wasn't sure how strong they would be. It was amazing! It was a giant portion. The chips were crispy, and not oily at all, there was a very generous portion of the tender poke. I loved the cucumber relish, and the green onion and sesame seeds also went very well with the Dish. I was pleasantly surprised with the two sauces. I could definitely taste the wasabi, and the aïoli kept it from blowing out my sinuses. I normally do not like Sriracha at all, but again, the aïoli mellowed it out. I put some of the sauces on top of the nachos, and also dipped some of the nachos in the sauces. Next time I would definitely have them on top. I had enough to take back to my hotel for a second meal. The price was very reasonable, considering the quantity of the quality of the food. For great meals at McMenamins, I am now 3 for 3.
