Horrible service. Despite the fact that we've been consumers for years, the management, A skinny black lady with long dreads, decided to curse and refuse to fix an order her employee messed up. She started to give a refund but called me a b**** then proceeds to take the food back because I replied back to her. She makes the comment I decided to come during a lunch rush hour slams the register and tells me to come back tomorrow. There was no understanding for her employee's mistake or compassion for the 45 min I had to wait for their mistake. I will never suggest this location as a pleasant experience. There were four employees inside and one lady in front of me. After she ordered I stood by the register for a couple of minutes until someone finally acknowledged me and took my order. It took me 24 minutes to get my order. Which I ordered for there but was packaged to go and included no utensils. So I had to go back up and be ignored for another couple of minutes. The lady in front of me got her order a few minutes before me, so she had to wait about the same time I did. She took her food and left the establishment only to return a minute later saying it was all messed up. I'd like to think they eventually made it right and fixed the order. The employees go out of their way to drag their feet and show how little they care. I imagine if they can get the reviews to one star and have no one come in then they can play on their phones all shift and make the same pay check. I get that no one really wants to work in fast food, but if you do, maybe have just a touch of pride in your work. There's none to be found here. read more

Let's start with the drive through, dude on the window taking orders should work on his people skills or stick to the fryers. He should be the last resort for customer facing situations. The wait for the food was a bit long but not excessive. On to the chicken, it was KFC. Nothing special the same old chicken we have come to expect. The rest of the food was also nothing special. Now for the cost savings approach of this location. I ordered the 12 piece original recipe family meal which, according to the board comes with six biscuits and 3 sides. My requested sides were mashed potatoes / gravy and corn. I was fine with just two sides. Upon returning home and unpacking the food I found five biscuits, not six. To go with the missing biscuit was a piece of chicken, eleven pieces in the bucket, not twelve and no gravy! But I did get the bonus coleslaw, which I don't like and didn't order, all for the sum of a touch over $43. RATING " 0" Visited KFC through the drive-thru on October 6th approximately 11:05 a.m. Waited for 5 minutes for someone to come on the speaker to take my order, no response, once I asked if anyone was there to help us. I decided to drive around to the window, two African American young ladies were standing at the front on their cell phones. I blew the horn to get their attention, a young lady comes to the window stated to me that oh I didn't hear you, I was just about to take your order. I placed the order food came out in a timely manner, I had to ask for spoons and she didn't put napkins in the bag. The worst customer service ever, I will never eat at KFC again, I always give business owners the benefit of the doubt, this KFC was 2.5 stars on Yelp. Young adults these days do not want to work, business owners should be held responsible for anyone that they hire. Employees represent your business, one must have respect, trust, dignity at all times, 0 policy, no excuses. I normally do not eat at KFC was running around in a hurry and decide to stop and give it a try. There is a reason why Chick-fil-A is probably the number one fast food restaurant in the world. Every time I go to Chick-fil-A I have a wonderful experience coast to coast.They truly know how to serve customers, and their employees give 100%. It does not matter where you work employees should be held responsible. Second trip to this location where they closed down due to "no chicken" the people inside were just standing around on their phones with doors locked. We finally got someone to open the drive through window and they said they ran out of chicken. I cannot imagine that the volume at this particular location would be so great that they would sell out on a Friday. I've tried to email a National contact regarding this and no one has responded. KFC on Savannah Highway on Johns Island is a well managed KFC location that has well prepared chicken, biscuits, and sides. I really like their pot pies and meal specials that they have available. I gotta give it to them. The review is relevant to the establishment. It's a KFC so you never expect incredible service at a fast-food joint but I was really happy with my experience tonight. Even though they were out of mac and cheese. I placed a pick up through door dash and when I arrived it was basically ready, I only had to wait a minute. There was only 3 workers there and a completely full drive through line. The woman running the operation was extremely nice and kept me updating with how long i'd wait. The food was really good too. The spicy chicken sandwich and my fiancée's famous bowl were both good, and the fries were fresh and crispy. I was really craving a fried chicken sandwich and I was just overall pleasantly surprised with how the whole process went. Shoutout to the crew on this night for working so hard, you all deserve raises for your hard work, working short staffed and keeping a smile on your face. I love KFC but that new chicken sandwich, two thumbs down. It was dry and it had no taste. Now their new recipe fries are DELICIOUS! They are not like the "crack" fries you get at Shake Shack but they were quite good. Crispy with just enough salt and it had these chips like you would get in a fish n chips meal. KFC got it right with the fries. Might want to start over with the sandwich. It was definitely lacking. The restaurant seemed well managed and it wasn't overcrowded. read more

Ladies and gentlemen, I have found the devil's playground. My wife & I decided to do something wild and have fried chicken for dinner. I found this place on google maps and it was the closest KFC to our home. When I entered the driveway, I initially thought it had been shut down because the building and property were in such poor condition, but the drive-through was open. Apart from that, the drive-through experience was typical. I got home and we had dinner, but my wife and I both commented the food just tasted odd, not necessarily bad, but not good either. I noticed (after eating the meat around it) the bones in my chicken were black?! Not quite sure what transpires to make bones black, but they were. At 5am I woke up to a sour stomach and a slight headache, coincidence, I think not. I am now wishing this curse to pass from my bowels into the bowl where it belongs. If you are in the mood for fried chicken, I would recommend another place wholeheartedly. read more

Pulled up to order and waited a couple of minutes before asking if anyone was there. We got no response after a couple of tries and decided to pull around to the window Incase their box was just not working. We were greeted with a very unpleasant attitude as we explained that we had tried to order at the box with no response. The woman at the window replied with a yes mam I did respond and you guys just drove to the window. I replied suggesting maybe the box was not working but was quickly told that it is and that we just drove around. Ultimately we almost left because we were slightly frightened by the response from Nisha. She treated us like we thought we were special and in fact we were not. So she told us to go ahead and give our order and then slammed the drive thru window shut. We ordered a four piece chicken tenders with fries and a kfc bowl. No drinks. Total was 15.82$ as we were charged for a six piece meal. Overall if I could give zero stars I would as this is the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. KFC at 3864 Savannah Hwy, Johns Island, SC 29455 was absolutely disgusting. The moment I stepped out my car I noticed the building was dirty, without regular maintenance and unkept. Upon reaching for the door I felt a grime on it from not being regularly cleaned and the windows were adorned with splatter marks, hand prints and other unexplained markings. I walked inside to find the floors, countertops and generally cleanliness of the establishment to be well below par. It was in essense, disgusting in every way. I looked at the water cooler to see if they in fact had bottled water to find that one of the employees had their personal drink in there keeping it cold. The entire place screamed health violations. It's fast food, rushes cause messes, but this was and is total lack of care and aborant neglect. Needless to say, it's also evident that the owners of the establishment either do not care or have lost interest. I am going to report this to the Health Department because I truly feel that food from this establishment will absolutely make someone sick. read more
