Found this little gem while in town for business and I can honestly say, I am glad we gave it a try. I do not know where the name came from but it did have a boxcar feel inside, it was quaint and very well decorated. The service was top notch, took our order right away and gave great recommendations. I've always loved coming here to grab lunch with my dad. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is my go to with a side of their seasoned fries. It's been six months or longer since I've been and their sauces have definitely changed. Their blue cheese used to be thicker and have a better flavor and when I went yesterday - well it tasted nothing like Blu cheese and was thin. The fries are especially salty now which I wasn't a fan of. My dad ordered a smash burger and said it was still great (it looked great too). Overall the prices are reasonable and the staff is incredible pleasant. It has large electronic menus up that are easy to read. There is a small counter where you place your order. There is seating in and outdoors. There are wooden tables spread throughout inside. The space is not huge but fits a decent amount of people. Outside you will find a few small metal tables under an awning. The food was awesome! We got the create your own combo. I highly recommend. An entry into my list of places that are not for vegetarians, but have made an effort, this place offers sandwiches with a portobello mushroom cap fried and stuffed with pimento cheese. Not exactly health food, but an interesting and distinctively southern experiment. For people that don't do dairy, not much for you here. I got my sandwich Buffalo style. This turned out not to be the greatest decision, as pimento cheese and Buffalo sauce flavors clash. The mushroom cap itself was quite indulgent, but at least I got in some fiber. Their combo option includes a small order of fries; sometimes small means barely enough to notice, but here small is plenty for one person. It also includes a drink, and wanting to avoid any further indulgences I was happy for the option of unsweetened tea. They offer the option to customize a sandwich, and I bet I could find a better flavor combination for my tastes than their preset options. So my conclusion is that this was an interesting fast food place, worth a shot for someone who's thinking about it. read more

Wanted to try this place because I've heard so much about the fried chicken sandwich. We went in on a Saturday at 6:30pm. The place was busy but had 2 tables available. I grabbed one and my husband went to order a burger and the chicken sandwich. He placed the order and was about to pay when the cashier was pulled aside by the manager and told something. The cashier came back and told my husband they couldn't serve us because they were too backed up. Sorry. He came over to the table and told me. I was relieved. The not-so-waffle was absolutely amazing! The bacon jam, pimento cheese, combo was excellent. The young lady who worked the counter was very friendly and informative. She warned me that the maple syrup might be too sweet, but I thought it was excellent. When we come back, I might order a cheeseburger just to be able to try other items on the menu. Went to west Ashley and ordered a chicken sandwich and fries to go. There was one table with 10 golfers. I waited and watched them serve 2 golfers at a time for 10 minutes which was only halfway through there order. So I asked if they could just give me my chicken sandwich and fries to go. It took another 5 minutes with me the only person in the restaurant to get my to go order which took 15 minutes standing there for a sandwich they could of given me in 1 minute.
