So disappointing. We don't go to the KFC in Charles Town because it is so trashy and now have reservations about this one. The pot pie was served hot, but was it laziness or poor ordering of food stuff by management which resulted in the pot pie being filled -- not with the nice gravy, but rather with mashed potatoes and very few vegetables. Then there was the chicken tenders. So tough and not the lightly colored and crispy coating that I was expecting. Dark brown and looked like it had been sitting for hours. My husband did enjoy his crispy chicken sandwich and fries. There's a 'no refunds' sign on the door. Perhaps too many people objecting to the poor food they are served? Too bad for this place. I wanted to order 24 hot wings. I knew it would take them time to prepare, as they most likely did not have that many already cooked, so I tried to call them on the phone to order in advance. Tried four time to call and NEVER got an answer. Phone rang about 30 times each time. Gave up and tried to go inside to order, but lobby was locked. It doesn't matter what you order, this place will find a way to screw it up. I love KFC and unfortunately this is the only one relatively nearby. Besides of being entirely messed up, my orders were always missing at least half of its contents and the employees will throw a fit from hell if you ask for the rest of the order that they missed. Besides that, I have issue with the fact that employees smoke while they make food and they don't even try to hide it. I order through DoorDash today. I didn't get any sauces I order which I Paid .50 per sauce. They didn't have the spicy Mac and cheese bowl which I changed to a large mash potatoes but they still charge me the price of the Mac and cheese bowl instead of giving me the price difference. I just want people to know to beware of this place because several years ago I got Salmonella and was in bad shape for over a month. I tried to tell the restaurant but nobody wanted to listen. I tried to get a lawyer because I lost a month worth of work and racked up huge hospital bills but nobody would take the case because I didn't save the receipt and paid in cash. I had several witnesses that I ate there about 18 hours before I got really really sick but it wasn't enough for the lawyer. I remember eating a pot pie there for lunch with other guys that worked with me but they didn't get the pot pie. I left work that day around 4:30 that's about 4 to 5 hours after I ate lunch and was driving on my way home and I remember taking a drink of my drink and getting the weirdest feeling I have ever had, my whole body felt the coldness of the drink and I thought damn that was wierd and kind of scary. The next day was my grand daughter's first birthday and I was at the start of the party and my stomach hurt so bad I couldn't stand up and after that it all got worse. I went to the emergency room several times before they realized it was salmonella. I couldn't move and my head hurt so bad it scared the hell out of me. After a few weeks I lost over 30 pounds and started to get some of my life back. To this day I still have problems so all I say to everyone is if you eat here pay with a card or keep your receipt. To this day I think the Salmanella has cost me some of my sanity. read more

Wouldn't know how the food is. Went to drive-thru and went to place my order. It was 5PM on a Friday during Lent, so while I hadn't expected a ton of people, I was surprised to find no one in line. Then I pulled up to the area to order, and the girl basically shouted, "WHAT DO YOU WANT?". I calmly placed my order, and she paused, then asked, "Do you mean a number 8?", with a bit of a tone. I told her 'no', (because that was more chicken than I wanted), I wanted the item I ordered. She then rattled off my total- which was three dollars more than when I ordered the same thing at a KFC in Charles Town (half an hour away/same state). So I asked, to double check that she heard me right. She comes on with a very nasty tone, "That's why I asked if you wanted the number 8!", and she started to tell me something else in that tone, but I wasn't there to be growled at, so I went down the street to the Long John's that had a line out to the road. read more

The WORST and LAST KFC I will ever order from. They royally screwed up our $50 online order. My family ended up eating cold food. I called in to talk to a manager and got an employee impersonating a manager. I finally was told that 'Michael' wasn't the actual manager & he got Jenna. Jenna was zero help and when I asked for her DM's #, she claimed not to know it...lol. She promised to have her GM call me. I waited 2 days and drove to the store....Jenna again insisted they meant to call me. She still claimed she did not know her DM's #. I called KFC corporate, from their store parking lot, & found out their cheap company outsourced customer service....so I spoke with Raj. They never followed up, either. Stopped here today for lunch. Paid $17 for 2 buffet meals and it was the biggest mistake ever! There was hardly any food on the buffet. Asked about the lack of salad and an employee said they were out. My wife asked if they were going to put corn on the buffet, since the only hot vegetable they had was peas, and the same employee told her it was too expensive. The 2 types of chicken were thrown together in one tray and was literally falling apart. The one tray of potatoes and some of the other trays of food looked as if they had been sitting out for a week. Numerous people had to ask them to fill up the chicken. The entire staff was composed of what looked like teenagers and there seemed to be no management around. One employee was even leaning against the wall behind the counter eating candy. There was no effort at all to greet any customers or to take care of the pitiful buffet section. I definitely will not waste my time or money coming back to this establishment. read more

Stopped by at about 10:50 pm tonight (Saturday) and as soon as I pulled up to the drive-thru the lights on the board immediately went out. I waited a few minutes, perhaps they were having electricity problems. NO... all the employees just left... got in their cars and left. When I checked the drive-thru times on the board, it clearly stated that they were open until 12 am on Saturdays. So, I left as well. I took my business elsewhere and do not plan to return to this KFC again. read more

Best deal on buffet in town. Even gives good discount for seniors and children. Buffet consists of regular and spicy chicken, regular and cheesy mashed potatoes, cole slaw, corn, peas, dressing, salad bar, pudding, biscuits, desert, soda, ice tea and more. Where should I start? With the employee who continually was handling her hair? If ones hair will not stay in place might I suggest hairnets? Or perhaps the fact that she found it necessary to sweep the floor but not clean the tables. I eat off of the tables; not the floor. Or perhaps the fact that the lady; whom I am going guess was the manager; but certainly did not show any type of managerial skills; got mouthy with a customer who was complaining about the food displayed on the buffet. Which was a legitimate complaint as the dumplings looked like they possibly been there yesterday. Maybe she was upset that they interrupted her cell phone call. Again employers .. What are your employees doing on cell phones while supposedly being paid to work. Do you not have a business phone that can be utilized in an emergency? I'm there to "enjoy" my dinner. How do you think I enjoyed it when I had to listen to that conversation and witness the disrespect. Now let's address the chicken; you know the one item that you are supposed to be noted for; the breading was raw on a couple of pieces. Not busy enough in there to be hurried. I counted around 7-8 employees and maybe 4 of them actually working. Seemed a party was going on majority of our visit.
