Not sure if it's just this location that has gone downhill or the chain as a whole. Order was missing a cookie, one soda was incorrect, one order had a drumstick instead of a thigh...that is an issue with this location. The bigger issue is the size of the chicken. They were TINY. Not sure where they found chickens that were this small but it was pretty ridiculous. The fries were not good either. Only reason for 2 stars rather the 1 is that the pot pie was good. Stopped in today to try their new chicken sandwich. I think they came out with this sandwich to compete with their competitor Popeyes. Both sandwiches are pretty good although I do like Popeyes slightly better. This sandwich is far better then those chicken sandwiches that you get at the other fast food chains. read more

I think when you review a chain you pretty much know the type of food you are getting. Well it's KFC so you already know it's going to be fried, unhealthy and salty as heck. Now that we have gotten that out of the way let me review the location. I'm very close to this KFC and it's on my way home so I will go by everyone in a while to get some Colonel Sanders action. My word of advice for this location. Always check your order before you go and never order online. The times that I ordered online it got screwed up big time. I once ordered a 8 piece meal with 8 piece tenders. When I came to open it up I had no original recipe goodness. Only 8 pieces of sorry chicken tenders. When I called to tell them that and see if they can rectify it they told me they couldn't. I had to call the corporate KFC to get a refund. Took 40 minutes on the phone to get a partial refund. Atleast the guys on the corporate end were very pleasant. Will I still go back? I probably will as I'm a glutton for punishment. But if they screw up my order again I will have no one to blame but myself. read more

My fiancé and I went here around 10:15pm to get tenders or the chicken sandwiches after we pull up and are placed on a 5 minute hold "in drive thru" when she finally asks us what we want, we tell her and she informs that there's none so we try to order sandwiches which we were told also there were none then we finally had to ask them what they had? she told us only wings and legs but google clearly stated the business would be open another 45 minutes.. very unprofessional franchise and rude employees never going back read more

Fried chicken nice and crispy, service was fast friendly employees. I have had nasty KFC but never at this Naugatuck Location. Got potato's and gravy for side which had good taste. I visited them recently for a cheap lunch. They have $3, 2pc chicken meals, which are good for the value. The food was pretty good. However, I have to take away points for issues in the restaurant. Hopefully they are resolved. 1.) The self-serve soda machine had no ice in it. There was a bucket on the counter, and the restaurant expected customers to serve themselves. This would be ok, but would you want to scoop ice out of the same bucket that every Tom, Dick, and Harry sticks their potentially unwashed dirty hands into? I think not. 2.) The other issue was the men's bathroom. I can only wonder when the toilet was cleaned last. The seat was smeared with poop. The whole toilet seat had a nasty light brownish smear to is. Needless to say, I did not use the toilet. I only had to wash my hands in the sink. Overall, if the two issues are fixed then this would be a good value for a lunch or dinner. read more

I don't write reviews but I went here this evening, after a long day at work. I by far have gotten the best service I have gotten from a fast food chain I. A long time. The gentleman and lady who helped us were so courteous and kind. My son made a mess and I felt bad and the male employee told me not to worry about it because he has seen much worse and that it was nothing for him to just sweep up. I didn't catch his name but he deserves a raise or a promotion or something. Seriously, great manners and awesome customer service! Of course keep in mind this 5 star rating is acknowledging this is a fast food restaurant. If you are looking for fine dining then this is not the place. If you are looking for a delicious fried chicken meal on the go then this establishment is highly recommended. I am keeping this review in perspective to only fast food fried chicken establishments meaning, this KFC versus other KFCs I have been too, Popeye's, etc... The food here was very good. The chicken came out as expected (which is a feat on it's own considering usually fast food fried chicken is sub par at best) and the sides were amazingly done. I had hot wings, coleslaw, corn, with their new boneless crispy recipe. I am not a huge fan of the boneless recipe but I can't complain considering the wings came out hot and not an oily mess. Usually though all the KFCs I have been to manage to at least produce good chicken. The real noteworthy components would be the side dishes. Other establishments that I have been too make horrible side dishes. I am guessing this is because the overzealous or under appreciated teenage staff does not follow the recipe. The mashed potatoes are too watery (disgusting), the mac and cheese tastes like you are slurping nacho cheese sauce (disgusting), the coleslaw tastes spoiled (sickening). This was not the case here! All the sides were wonderfully done and I devoured everything without hesitation. TL;DR -- If you are looking for fast food fried chicken with delicious sides this is the place to go to. When I get hungry for fried chicken, or want a healthy alternative grilled chicken, I hanker down to the KFC on Bridge street. It's a small store, but it has a clean place for the indoor diners, and good service. I've always been greeted with a smile. If you stay away from the fried menus, then you can really eat healthy. I LOVE KFC but today when I went to pick up some dinner for my self and my daughter, I ordered the kids meal of popcorn nuggets. They charged me for the popcorn nugget combo. I went in and told them it was wrong and they did fix it. So I thank you for that. But I'm not sure if it's just me or what but I got the BBQ chicken strips and they didn't taste very good. Actually been here 2xs last month & both times they had no crispy chicken both time I went also had no white meat. Decided to go b4 the dinner rush so got there at 4:30 & the food was cold it tasted old it taste like it was from lunch & was put in the microwave just to warm it up. Went at 8:30pm on 12/11/14. The sign on the door read that they would be open until 10pm but the restaurant was already in the process of closing. They had a limited supply of choices, they couldn't give me two pieces of white meat, the dining area was torn apart to be cleaned and more then one staff member told us that "they are trying to get out early". To top it all off when I looked at my receipt later I was charged for the two pieces of white meat that they couldn't give me. This could be the reason the parking lot was empty at 8:30. Me and my family just ate from this specific location tonight as a last minute option for dinner. The food overall was poorly made and the worst I have ever had from here. The only saving grace of my meal was the chicken but all the sides were very disappointing and honestly shocking of how bad it was. The coleslaw came in a bowl type container and was mostly liquid. I practically had to dig out the side from the container. The biscuits I kid you not, were as hard as a brick and when i bit into it i almost broke a tooth.
