I ordered the 4 piece with mashed potatoes and white gravy. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The breading was off and it was way too salty. On this night it was NOT the best fried chicken in Nebraska. The homemade white gravy was over-salted and tasted out of a jar, unlike the delicious homemade gravy Ron made when it was Red Rooster. Two people at our table said the same about the meatloaf and dark gravy. The gravy was also over-salted and it didn't taste homemade. Service was unusually clunky and we only saw one regular server. Everyone else was new. The decor in the Restaurant was different too. Not bad but just different. I'm hoping this was a one off experience because we really liked the Red Rooster. I'm not sure why the new owners of Route 77 made so many changes to a successful restaurant that was already working well. I hope they figure it out.
