Their Griddled French Toast is also kept pretty simple, with a small dusting of powdered sugar, some strawberries and whip. Went well with their traditional syrup! Parking is a blast but I promise their food makes up for the limited spacing. Their cinnamon rolls and other sweet treats right when you walk in, looked AMAZING. If you're into keno, you can play at your dining table. There are over twenty 4-tops, a dozen booths, and several party tables. Music is modern and sublime. You hear it, but it never overwhelms. You'll soon get numb to the intermittent "Keno calling". It does sound tempting to play when you hear that "the last game had a two thousand dollar winner". I have never played. Service is excellent at Jimbo's Diner. Kurt W. waited on me tonight and, like his colleagues have done previously, did a great job. I started with a BIG bowl of delicious beef barley soup. I recommend the soup, but perhaps the smaller cup-size next time. Daily specials include prime rib on Thursday nights. That is what brought me here originally. Sub-$30 prime rib! I'm now coming back to try other food. Today is a Monday and it is Mexican night at Jimbo's Diner. Taco baskets and enchilada dinners are on sale. None of the specials cost more than $10 tonight. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. These people, and this place have my heart. When my (bio) Dad passed suddenly and unexpectedly a few months ago, I was scrambling to find a place to host a gathering after his service. He was an Omaha native, a Navy veteran, and an avid Harley rider that maintained a variety of lifelong friends. How many, I had no clue. How many would see the notice and attend, I had no clue. Yet when I called Goose's Bar & Grill and spoke to Nathan and his Manager- the reply was short, sweet and put every ounce of my anxiety to rest, "We've got you" - and THEY DID!!! No questions, just the most perfect suggestions. They opened doors, brought in extra staff that accommodated and served us with the warmest welcome and comfort food you could image. (Oh, and the kicker?! - of course this all took place during the busiest week for all of the Main Street Papillion businesses- "Papillion Days" - still, they made it happen for me.
