    Dwarf chicken leg, not wing
    David H.

Man that is the smallest chicken leg I have ever got. Thought maybe it was a wing but it was dark meat. Is this the nee normal food you get at kfc?

    MJ L.

First visit pretty disappointing. I was shocked at the speed of service using the drive-thru until I got home and checked the food. The dark breading on the chicken was the first thing that through me off. Then I noted the skin pulled from the chicken because it was over cooked. That would also explain the dark color of the breading which apparently sat in the fryer too long. There was also some weird taste with the mashed potatoes and gravy. Guess I'll find out later tonight or tomorrow. Can't get the taste out of my mouth. At least the Mountain Dew White Lightning was good but even after that the bad taste remains.

Tried the CHICKEN POT PIE for the first time, but there was no chicken in it. Delicious veggie pot pie though.

How do you run out of ice an still sell your drinks at room temperature. So gross. Took forever to…read moreget our food. We both worked late tonight and did not want to go home and cook. Not a great Wing Stop. **** Timothy I assume you are the owner or the manager of the Red Oak I location. I went through and read your response to me and obviously it is a generic copy paste response because it is the exact same response you have given to every bad review which is 99% of the reviews on your page. I guess it's just to write off for you are you or you don't give a crap about Your location. Try and do better, just do better... It's ridiculous. Your customer service is awful. You tell me to contact you via private message, yet you did not leave me a number or an email or anything of that nature. You really need to do better and your employees need massive training , they don't give a crap either. Pathetic...

Today I came in to pick up a DoorDash order. When I first walked in, I let the young lady at the…read morefront know I was there for DoorDash and gave her the customer's name. She told me the order was almost ready and handed me the cup for the soda. Since I was trying to hurry up and complete the order, I went ahead and made the drink myself. When I brought the drink back to the front, I politely asked if they had a sticker or seal to place over the top of the drink so the customer would know it had not been tampered with. I explained that drivers normally are not supposed to prepare the drinks, but since I already did it, I just wanted the drink properly sealed for the customer's safety and comfort. The employee then responded by asking why I made the soda anyway. I stayed calm because I was simply trying to do my job and keep the order moving. She later told me her name was Nicole and said she was the manager. I again politely asked if she could place the sticker or seal on the drink, but she refused and stated she did not have to do it. She also accused me of being hostile, which I do not feel was true at all. As a manager, I feel customer service and professionalism should be handled better, especially regarding DoorDash orders and food safety. I was not rude or disrespectful. I simply wanted the order properly sealed so the customer would feel comfortable knowing their drink was not tampered with. I believe Nicole could benefit from additional customer service and management training based on this interaction.

I'm not a big fan of fast food fried chicken. It's not likely that I would have made it to…read moreBojangles if not for Vivian Howard. Vivian Howard of North Carolina, Chef, Restaurateur and teacher to hopeful home cooks with her current show on PBS, "Kitchen Curious" cites Bojangles as the source of her inspiration for dirty rice, wanting to recreate that specific flavor profile at home. Yes, Bojangles. She even went through their drive thru on the show where she makes her own version of dirty rice. So I finally went to the Bojangles near me in Lancaster one evening. We stopped in and marveled at the many biscuit combinations on the menu. I will say that reading through the reviews on our way there was weird though. There are apparently "legacy" Bojangles out East that serve bone in Chicken and more selections of sides or "fix ins." This caused consternation after this Lancaster franchise opened and they didn't have bone in chicken. It seemed to affect customer perception of the current trimmed down menu of biscuit and tenders, salads and sandwiches only menu early on. The menu reminds me of Chick- fil-A, just different. As for today, I came for the Dirty Rice. But we did order two Chicken sandwiches plus pickles, a family size dirty rice and a family size coleslaw, to go. Bojangles does not have jalapeños FYI. The menu neglected to show a sandwich only price. So I asked. I was told $6.92 including tax. The family size fix ins were $4.99. Combos with sandwich, beverage, and side choice are approximately $9.50. Sandwiches come with lettuce and tomatoes according to the menu. The restaurant was clean with booths and tables. Service was friendly. When we got home though, I must have been misunderstood or I misunderstood what went on the sandwiches. We had ended up with only pickles instead of added pickles. I don't usually post photos of food with utensils or half full containers with food already removed but today, I am doing that. I sliced up some tomatoes, washed lettuce, got out the jalapeños and more pickles and mayo and we fixed up our sandwiches. I would like to think that everything would have been sorted out at the restaurant if we had dined in, but only 2 pickles? Seriously? The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The exterior was still mostly crispy and was well seasoned. It certainly needed the veggies. And I have to have my jalapeños! The bun was brioche however and perfectly toasted. Now the dirty rice. I could taste the chicken bouillon in the well seasoned rice and the big chunks of sausage were appreciated. It was good. So was the coleslaw. Nice and cold, crunchy and a perfect foil to my jalapeños on my sandwich. So we spent spent $24.42 on two people for no drinks, two large sides and two sandwiches. Honestly, it was good, but it is not something that I would eat frequently. As I said, we don't usually eat fried chicken out. They are open 24 hours! With a well lit drive thru and easy online ordering. Go and check them out!
