There are many KFC locations that have lost the KFC flavor, but not this one...this tastes just like the original KFC from years ago. All of them in my neighborhood has chicken that looks like a rub on it, and it is overcooked. This KFC in St. Clair Shores gives me hope in mankind, they are still breading chicken with what taste like the original recipe and thickness and the chicken is juicy good. Food is okay. Service was fast. It's a clean place. My only complaint is that, this one guy was not wearing gloves , everyone else is. Absolutely horrible customer service. We were treated unprofessionally, and management showed little concern or accountability for a mistake on their part. She showed no desire to correct the mistake or even to fulfill our order, or anyone else's for that matter. Staff was untrained and left to fend for themselves while the manager stood , arms crossed, just watching them fail. We will never return while it is under the same management. read more

The young lady at the drive through was friendly , polite and efficient . I ordered 3 reg chicken sandwiches & a large fry . All 3 sandwiches were fresh & hot . The fry's were delicious , I haven't had KFC in probably 3 years . I don't know about the inside , drive through order . Will be back $22.00 not a bad price for today's prices. Just had a disgruntled employee walk out of this location, light a blunt and give me the finger as she sped off. My headlights must have been in her face, but it wasn't intentional. Since then I have watched them pull up every single car in the drive through and even had customers walking back up to the window to check on the status of their orders. I could sum my dinner up tonight in one word,"Disgusting"! It was too hot to cook tonight so I thought I'd go to KFC where I have not gone to in a long time because I have been getting bad food, but thought I'd give it one more chance. I ordered a three piece tender mashed potatoes gravy and a drink for 794. The chicken strips were probably not 3 inches long and tasted like shoe leather. They were not even room temperature by the time I got home and I live maybe two minutes away. I will never again go there and waste my money or my time! We like KFC for a fast dinner. I looked up KFC's near me (Harrison Township) and all had disappointing reviews. BUT I decided to give this KFC a chance and they proved to be good. I went inside because the drive through had many cars. The man at the counter kindly greeted me. I ordered a bucket with 3 sides. The coleslaw was fresh, crunchy and cold. Placed an order online VIA the KFC app, paid for the item. Go to the location and I'm told they don't carry the item I ordered. I was about to leave when my brother suggested I see why they couldn't give me what I ordered since it was already paid for. I ordered the 8 piece chicken tenders which is $10 as an online only purchase. They sell chicken and chicken tenders are one item that has been on their menu for a long time, its not a seasonal item either. The workers said they don't carry the tenders I ordered, which still confused me. They didn't say they were out of tenders they said they didn't carry the item. WTF did they actually think I was born yesterday, and I proceeded to say could I get the 8 piece chicken that was also listed on the app at the special price of $10. The manager came to the window, which made things worse. She claimed that I couldn't get my order cause they didn't have the tenders that I ordered and the price for the 8 piece chicken was not $10 and I even showed her but she just dismissed it. I'm never going back to that KFC on 28155 Harper Ave in St Clair Shores. They have terrible customer service. I work in customer service, and I would never talk to anyone like that manager talked to me. I hope people stay away from that location. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It took over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me once I walked in. Once someone came over I placed my order. Meanwhile the inside and drive thru were lined up and the employees in the back making the food were walking around, laughing, some arguing and just fooling around. One girl was sipping on a drink and just walking around while customers are waiting for their food or to be waited on. While this is happening 2 people walked out. They were never even acknowledged. I placed my order at 8:20pm and didn't get it until 8:46pm. Since I waited over 20 minutes for my order I expected the food to be excellent. It was far from that. The biscuits were overcooked, the potato wasn't even warm, the chicken was greasy and my order wasn't even correct! That was the worst customer service I have ever received! I have tried kfc a number of times. I'm not sure if it is just this location or it is typical of all. I had a three piece meal. Greasy chicken , horrible instant mashed potatoes. For a national chain this is not acceptable. The cole slaw was the best part of the meal. Maybe they should change the name to Kentucky cole slaw. I will not be going back. A KFC that never has chicken.. Pretty much sums it up! Doesn't matter when I go they never seem to have chicken. Even when they first open it seems they don't have enough of what I'd like. I don't even mind waiting for chicken since that seems to be the way it'll be regardless if they have what I want or if they can sub some of the pieces. I like that it's fresh which when you have to wait for most your order it is fresh. Like potato wedges it's a given I wait which I'm ok with. I order different stuff to switch it up as well and they're always like "hold on let me check" I'm like check what. I don't order 50 pieces of chicken. So it's not like it's an absurd order. But I always seem to get a variety bucket since they don't have enough dark meat or something. I've even asked how do you not have chicken?! My response was a giggle... I stopped going to KFC by myself years ago (the food has gotten pretty bad and the servings are very tiny) but, my daughter seems to like it. So I take her to KFC for dinner one night, I order her meal and decide to give it one more try. I ordered my food and asked for extra gravy on the potatoes because there is only a thin film of gravy on the potatoes nowadays(I think the manager gets a bonus if they have gravy left at the end of the day). The manager said "no." I said really? He again said "no." Apparently an extra spoon full of gravy is prohibited and KFC. Needless to say Neither me or my daughter go to KFC anymore.
