I went to this location to get wings for my sisters birthday weekend, despite the name received the WORST WINGS I've ever tasted!! We waited around 40 minutes for school lunch quality chicken tenders. My tenders were light as the sun no color whatsoever. The garlic parm had no flavor. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FRIES. They tasted like they had been fried up sat in the oil then put in the fridge for 2 days taken out and reheated in a dirty microwave! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. read more

I called the location and placed an order for 20 wings in assorted flavors a catering size order of Bleu cheese, large fries and a strawberry shortcake cookie had called to let them know immediately after getting home my food was incorrect. No manager on duty & was asked to call back the next morning. When I called back the manager did not get on the phone told he told the cashier to tell me to bring the food back so the next day I did, this is where the story gets good. The cashier starts counting the boneless wings, to which I said there are a couple missing because my man ate a couple before realizing this isn't what I ordered, now at this point you're adding insult to injury, I never do negative reviews because I'm in the industry, I get that anyone is entitled to one mistake but they gave me ranch instead of blue cheese, boneless instead of bone in wings and they have me coming here 2 times and then no one offered for a refund. They have lost a customer in me!!! I'm also allergic to eggs and requested a refund due to their incompetence, which the girl laughs at me when I'd informed her that the previous employee said the blue cheese was buttermilk, seasoning & bleu cheese. I should've known it was Eastpointe the most ratchet city Macomb County. Close the doors to this place. Almost 50$ spent and I literally had fries for dinner and I was as not compensated. Ok, not a shock that when they introduced dill pickle wings and dill pickle dipping sauce, I had to immediately try it. The creamy tanginess of the wing rub was just the right amount for the wings. The dill pickle dipping sauce is OUTSTANDING. My only complaint is that I can't buy it by the tub at a warehouse club! So we kept seeing this business on our way home and decided to give them a go. We placed the order over the phone as we were headed back to the house and the young lady that took our order was very attentive and nice. I didn't go inside to pick up since I wasn't paying but the location was in a good spot. Got to the house to eat and it was not as great as expected. The food was okay. We ordered three different types of wings, Asian Orange, Garlic Parm and Honey Barbecue. We also ordered the Mac and cheese and fries. Some of the wings were cooked a little too hard for my liking and I'm not sure if it was the breading or what, but I didn't like it too much. The Mac and cheese was pretty bland also. We were craving some boneless wings with their Parmesan garlic sauce. Have a nice variety of items to eat for dinner late. They ask for your phone number and your name for the order. I couldn't decide what I wanted for a second sauce, but I have a 24 piece boneless wings. It comes with 4 sauces. I selected the honey barbecue, Parmesan garlic, habanero ranch in the lemon pepper. Every sauce here is made in house. My husband likes their wings. This will be my first time trying them. The phone line to order took a bit. Total is $14.30, they told me it would take 35-40 minutes, that's a bit of time. What to do while I wait for so long. Maybe hit the English gardens since it's nearby. They texted me as soon as the food was complete, took about 25 minutes. Had the food in hand quickly. I can smell the garlic parmesan sauce from the carry out container. It smells good. The honey barbecue and the garlic Parmesan sauces are probably the better of the four. The lemon pepper has an intensely lemony flavor that wasn't what I expected, it made me pucker and the habanero ranch is extremely salty. The boneless wings here are almost chicken tender sizes; they are quite big for boneless wings. The meat is slightly dry. The dry rubs are too intense and overly seasoned. The honey BBQ and the Parmesan garlic sauces are wet and nicely coated and seasoned. Stick to the wet sauces here. On November 10,2025, I contacted the Detroit Wing Co on e 9mile road via phone during my lunch break around 11 am. I tried to place my order with a young lady which was only a spicy chicken wrap that I always order. I just wanted to swap the dwc on the wrap with the parmesan buffalo . The lady told me that they don't do that there, which was surprising seeing that I order the same exact item and substitution 3 days prior at the same location. I asked to speak to a manager which I was denied, also even the cook, which was denied. I asked for the young lady name which she refused and to know when the manager would be in which she refused to tell me. The young lady was very upset and hostile and had no interest in taking my order forcing me to visit another location even though further from my job site. I'm a fan of DWC but with this type of attitude in a broken economy, it really frustrates me with bad service like this, everyone has bad days but when youre unwilling to help that's may be ok but to refuse to allow me to speak to anyone else is sad and needs to be publicized. read more

I called in the order and asked if they had any mild sauces. Instead of telling me all the sauces, she only told me about 2 others that I had not seen. I was told that our food would be ready in 10 minutes. I was there by 10 minutes. I waited and waited while the cashier either helped others or was on her phone. Our food from here has always been delicious. I think these are the best wings in the area. The chicken sandwiches do not come with the sauce on them - you have to pour/dip it yourself. DWC used to be my favorite wing place. They were the most expensive but gave you large wings and sides and I didn't mind paying for it since all of the other wing places couldn't match the quality. After my last order I doubt I'll ever be a customer again. My wings could barely be considered popcorn chicken. One word, Over Priced, yes the quality is slightly better than wingstop (they are clearly based on wingstops model, but not enough to justify the price jump. At first I ordered from here on doordash until their prices jumped an extra 5 dollars per item on there. Prices being higher on doordash than in person was common but I had assumed i was already looking at the inflated price. When I started looking at the real prices and was shocked. Like a 2 tender combo for 8 bucks 3 tenders for 10$ is a complete joke. Even look at their 2 Tenders 10 Boness for 19.99, compare that to wingstops 20 boneless piece for that same price, literally double the food a cost hike justified by a marginal increase in value. I could go on for hours 19.99 for 12 wings, 17.99 for 12 boneless. And I know vegetarians are excited about those $11.49 for 3 Pretendies but I urge you not to sell yourself short, you can buy frozen vegetarian chicken tenders and put Sweet Baby rays on them for the exact same price and 3x the food. And 9 dollars for a SMALL side of onion rings or fries its literally a comedy routine. They try to justify this in advertising giving the business a clean look compared to wingstop (which IS hit or miss cleanliness wise) but dont be fooled Detroit Wing Company can be just as grungy especially when they're perpetually understaffed. And when your spending this much money on so little food the aesthetics of the company matters so little. TLDR: This place wants to be bougie (see more-expensive) wingstop but doesnt justify that with any increase in quality. This place only works as a your friend told you about it so you said you'd go and now you've spent 25 bucks on chicken, not as a spot to eat at more than once a year. read more

This spot is on a corner and busy street. Parking lot is small, it's probably for their employees only. Parking on the street is available in the front of the restaurant but it's usually taken or for those with handicap placard, so you might have to park far or inside the neighborhood. So that's why I minus a star. Called for a pickup order and it didn't take long. 10mins or so. Food is good, the macaroni could use more cheese. Wings is cooked perfectly, doesn't taste dry and is soft to chew and bite through. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting wings to go. Holy flavor explosion! Wow, I was super impressed with these wings and the intense flavor. I ordered the boneless garlic Parmesan, traditional lemon pepper, traditional Greek, and dill potato salad. The boneless garlic Parmesan were a big win! The wings themselves were huge and meaty with a generous amount of the yummy sauce. If you are not a big sauce fan, I would ask for it on the side. The dill potato salad was super flavorful as well and now one of my new favorite potato salads. While I liked the traditional wings and they had a ton of flavor, they were a bit too salty for me. This was my wing choice for our trip to Detroit. We got takeaway as we were tired and the restaurant seemed more geared for takeout anyway. It's very small and has only 2 picnic tables to sit at. It has lots of cool wood decor here and the store despite being small had a unique look to it. Whiskey Bbq Wings Buffalo Wings What Is It: The buffalo wings were the standard buffalo sauce that you can get at most wing joints (and bars for that matter. The whiskey bbq sauce was a sweet take with some whiskey flavour included. Presentation: The wings all looked reasonably good and they have a really cool logo as well. Not bad here. 6.5 out of 10 Taste/Final Analysis: The buffalo wings were kind of a stock version of the flavour that you could get at pretty much any wing or even a lot of pizza joints. It had an okayish amount of flavour and a mid grade level of heat. The whiskey bbq was a little more unique and a little better than the buffalo. Like I said in the description it was a sweet or honey bbq flavour with some local whiskey cooked in. Not a bad wing. However when a place is called Detroit Wing Company "not bad" is a little disappointing. I could have chose any wing joint in or around Detroit for my vacation and I came here and when that's the case "not bad" is a real bummer. Decided to try DWC on my Detroit trip due to the fact that they serve the plant based pretendies. My dad and I got a 12 piece and decided on getting them tossed in the two most hot sauces- calypso and sweet heat. We were quoted a 15 minute wait time and sat on their indoor picnic tables. We got our food in about 12 minutes and took it home. I immediately tried the calypso, which is the hottest sauce they offer. It didn't immediately hit me. Had a good flavor. After the one, it started to kick in just slightly. I was a little disappointed as I thought it would be hotter. After a bit, I tried the sweet heat. Tasted more like a bbq sauce with very subtle heat. Was pretty confused as they're the top two "hottest" and there was a big leap in spice between the two. If you like spice, definitely go with the calypso but don't expect too much. The vegetarian tenders were incredible. The breading and consistency were spot on. They were juicy as well, which most fake chicken tends to miss the mark on. For a 12 piece it was slightly under $30 dollars with a tip. Not the cheapest, but worth trying. If I were to go back, I would get sauce on the side and use my own at home. read more

I will say that I was impressed by the food delivery service was able to get the food to me while it was still warm! Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say. My wings arrived without the chili lime sauce, which I was looking forward to trying. With no sauce they had zero flavor. I luckily had a bottle of other dipping sauce, but even so, they were just meh. We ordered the brussel sprouts with blue cheese and honey mustard dressing. Spend about as much or sometimes less than some of the other wing places in the area and dwc is so much better than anywhere else you'll bother trying wings from.
