Hands down the best crew and consistent fast food in Winnemucca. And it's delicious. I'm not sure who manages this store, but they have their act together. My daughter and I have lunch here frequently. I'm a creature of habit and always get two piece original combo. I like two wings, mashed potatoes and unsweetened ice tea. It's always hot and fresh. My daughter likes the chicken tenders and fries (great fries btw) Service is fast and friendly. Usually before I can put my wallet away, food is up on a tray for us. If you are tired of the often plain weird and unfriendly workers at other local fast food joints, try kfc. Place is always clean inside and drive through is prompt and friendly. We couldn't believe it got 2 stars until we experienced this place. My husband went in to get a mixed bucket with white meat extra crispy and dark meat original. The girl was very confused in a gen-Z sort of way. When he got it to the car it was all dark meat 1/2 crispy and 1/2 original. My advice if you like KFC be sure to check your order before you leave the counter. Potatoes and Cole slaw were good. read more

Not recommended. The food is very stale and tastes terrible. The service is good, but it doesn't make up for the awful food.

The food was hot and fresh, the restaurant was nice and clean and the couple of employees that we encountered were very friendly.

Second time I have eaten here. This appears to be the only place in winnemucca that STILL has its lobby closed for walk in dining. I drive a truck, so both times you call in your order. Why would it take 23 minutes to fill an order for one person? Walk back to the crappy motel 6, and my chicken sandwich is so hard, for a moment I thought it was plastic. Fries are cold. I can only surmise they made my order right away and then made me wait 23 minutes for it. Never again. read more

I unfortunately didn't catch his name but the man on the drive thru speaker was very helpful. He let us know grilled chicken was an option, and suggested the spicy (instead of regular) chicken sandwich. He was very friendly. When we pulled up to the window and he saw my two kids in the back, he asked if they could have cookies (which my wife said yes to) and he gave us two for free. Also the food was delicious. If I could, I'd drive back to this pos place and stick this order of fish and chips up the managers ass. Seriously, there are 17 french fries two pieces of fish that are close to 3/16" thick (wafers) and dried out. The other side of coleslaw didn't make it...really? Absolutely awful the last two times we ordered. first time ordered by phone, picked up in less than 10 minutes, brought home, order wrong, cold, chicken pieces almost tiny, overly greasy, left out two sides, biscuits cold, dry and crumbly. Last time, last week, ordered at the drive-thru, brought home, order wrong, meat cold, only one coleslaw, almost microscopic wings, biscuits dry and crumbly, no meat on wings, way over cooked. We seldom eat out here in Winnemucca due to poor quality food. I thought I might try KFC once again. I spent 43.00 on the big bucket dinner, the chicken pieces were really small and there were only two legs in the bucket. Over cooked and dry.It was far from worth 43. Bucks, extreme disappointment. Whoever owns the KFC in Winnmeucca is not interested in any sort of quality control of their food products. This is my third and last time to this establishment. Each time the chicken has been stale and dry and cold. The biscuit was dry and crumbly. The chicken pot pie had sat so long the crust absorbed almost all of the sauce making it very dry. It's KFC!!! So we aren't expecting haute cuisine. But I got a side of baked beans with chicken chunks in them. I've gone to several KFCs and never seen chicken in the beans. It looked like scrapings from a plate. I contacted the corporate office and informed them, confirming that the baked beans should NOT have chicken mixed in. Then I took the beans back and showed them to the manager. He said it was how they served them, and when I informed him that I had spoken to corporate he acted like he didn't believe me. Since then I've gone to two other KFCs to confirm that the beans should have no chicken in the container. And KFC corporate promised to call me within the week with the results of their findings. There is an ethical problem here. When I came through Winnemucca a few weeks ago I noticed that the chicken pieces I purchased were half the size I normally receive in the Reno KFC stores and the store in Fearnley, Nevada. I had forgotten this when I stopped there last night. The pieces were half the size and over cooked. This should be reported to KFC headquarters. It's really that bad. As a frequent KFC customer I was insulted that a legitimate KFC franchise could get away with this practice. We own a get away home north of Winnemucca in Paradise Valley and I will certainly discuss this with the locals. read more
