I asked for coleslaw instead, but they would NOT do that unless I wanted to pay an upcharge. WTH? Nuggets were the best things in the order....but the sliders were pretty small and DRY. Went through the drive -thru to order . I was told that what I wanted was only online. So I had to checked their menu to see what was close to what I wanted . The employee that was helping me was nice about it but then another employee took over and was very rude , telling me that even though I had no cars behind me I was taking their time . I understand they have a system , and they have a timer , but I was not taking long to decide, I even was starting to order when the woman employee took over . Can we get compostable items rolled out nationwide please? This restaurant's pretty chill (i miss nashville mac & cheese tender bowl a lot :( ), but I think it'd be cool if demand is cooling down, KFC started rolling out compostable items across various restaurants. I know this is only common for restaurants in national parks, but it'd probably generate some hype if they're one of the only fast food chains doing it nationwide. There's biodegradable green plastic, compostable forks, biodegradable food containers, etc. You wouldn't need to do it for all items necessarily (paper straws get a bad rep & some people like to use large plastic bags for trash bins), but things like sauce containers, plastic forks, plastic bags around forks/spoons, napkins, fry cups, & food containers (like for mac/mashed potatoes), all have really great & sturdy biodegradable options that might rebrand KFC as a chain that's innovating for the future! These items might be more expensive than plastic, but less expensive in bulk & higher demand for these products might increase production & efficiency making biodegradable options more competitive towards plastic! These products (especially biodegradable plastic) usually come in green to make their eco friendliness status seem more at the head of their product, but KFC being a major corporation could easily probably negotiate a deal with a sizeable biodegradable manufacturer to make materials black/white/red with the KFC logo to fit more in line with KFC branding & aesthetics. This could start as a limited time test that can easily be phased out again by plastic if it proves to have a less noticeable affect on consumer tastes' (given most companies are reporting less consumer demand overall recently including Mcdonald's- that should be taken into consideration too), but any remaining products from the deal can easily be used up & won't go to waste! If it proves not to be too expensive & does give KFC an advantage over other fast food chains, a long term exclusive deal can probably be reached & KFC can almost fully phase most plastic, while other brands have to catch up or negotiate deals with smaller chains that are less capable of a large nationwide rollout. On my trips from Palm Springs to LA I will sometimes stop in here for my chicken fix. I have always found the staff to be upbeat and friendly. And I had never had a bad meal here. I generally go for the extra crispy chicken with the side of mashed potato and that delicious gravy on top, accompanied with a side of cole slaw. Sooo good.. Now at other times I might switch for the chicken pot pie. I really enjoy that crunchy pie dough on the top, And that delicious chicken stew inside is such a tasty treat. I'm surprised at the bad reviews! I come to Yucaipa at least every two weeks a month & this was the first time I tried this location. I ended up walking in because I was undecided and didn't want to take long reading the menu at the drive thru. The lady that greeted me was extremely friendly & patient with me. I was actually a little sick from an ongoing condition & worse a bit hydrated. I finally made a decision to try one of their box meals when she suggested the $5 fill up that had minus a chicken strip. I didn't mind as long as I got something. Well she was very helpful and again extremely friendly older woman with that Yucaipan country charm. She was fast and gave me my receipt informing me I can fill out the online survey & mention how her service was. I did, she was good. We came back at night when my husband got off work and got a young man helping us and was was also good and prompt. Went to drive thru ordered 8 piece with mashed potatoes and gravy. Cole slaw also and when git home which is maybe 4.5 miles it was all cold. Put chicken on plate and there was so much crispy breading you would have to take 2 bites before getting close to chicken. Had to pry the crispy breading off and the chicken was old looking and burnt. Ended throwing out the chicken. Baskets were ok along with sides. Got KFC last night at about 9:30. Ordered online so it was ready to pickup. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal, with biscuits, plates, and utensils. The chicken sandwich was cold, I had a scheduled pickup for 9:30 and made the order about 8:45. The mac and cheese was the only thing that was good. I didn't get utensils nor did I get my 2 plates i asked for. The biscuits were hard, and my drink was watered down. This happened on Halloween. I ordered food thru the KFC app and when I came to pick it up, they already locked up the dining area, and the only way to get the order was through the drive-thru. The young heavy-set lady yelled at me and said that I should have gone inside to get my order but when I explained to her that the doors were already locked. She got irritated and told me "well, I am not going to cook for you!" I explained to her that I already paid for it but she replied by saying "too bad...have a good evening!" I asked her to give me my money back since I already paid and she responded "nope, you have to call corporate for that!" I asked for a manager but she just completely ignored me after that. I think she was very angry because she had to work on Halloween. I visited the restaurant the day after Thanksgiving. I waited behind a car at 8:45pm. After waiting approximately 7 minutes the car left and I pulled up to the order screen. No one ever came on the speaker. There was no sign posted that they were closing early. No sign until you have already wasted your time and drive up to the window. There they have a sign posted! A sign should have been at the order screen when closing 2 hours early!! there were still people inside the restaurant, workers were inside the restaurant. I'm giving this place one star because they suck compared to other KFC's. if it was an average KFC, I would give them three stars. First of all, their menu has like 40% of a typical KFC menu.
