The food was very okay! I came in as a last minute lunch choice after seeing the signage while driving by and I'm not sure what I was expecting. As I walked in, to my surprise the ambiance was one of Japanese influenced fast food. I got a teriyaki salmon combo with a side of gyoza and overall I would say i left feeling satisfied, however the taste was a bit bland. 4 stars because they were very fast with the order and the staff were kind and greeted me with a smile. Went in to get a large bowl chicken bowl on 7/7/25 with some spring rolls. The customer service was quick and the workers were very cordial and professional. The workers for the evening shift had my food ready within 5 or so minutes which caught me off guard and the food was cooked well. Called and The people said there's no manager on duty which leads me to believe that they are not working with integrity when the bosses aren't around, the fact the entire bag is soaked in sauce that wasn't on our food is also a clear sign of negligence. We also got charged extra for the premium things than what was advertised as well UPDATE: as shown below, the owner reached out. Still one of my all-time favorite Fast Food places. Gyudon Beef is basically paper-thin, Japanese Pastrami(Brisket) cooked in Soy Sauce and onions. The Gyoza dumplings were actually excellent. My Grilled Teriyaki Chicken was always tasty and filled me up. My lunch combo box easily weighed 2.5 pounds! For under $20 - that is an amazing Lunch. Wowwwwww yoshinoya not only am I disgusted I was looking forward to a nice review. Upon entering it was a typical busy Sunday. I came to this location ready to eat until I seen what I seen. Upon waiting in line I noticed they had a fan sitting on the countertop facing the chefs. I get that it is hot and ventilation is probably slim to none but this is a serious HEALTH VIOLATION and I'm appalled that the girl at the register Angie, told me the health department just came two weeks ago and said nothing about it. They have a purple fan FULL of dirt and debris that's facing the cooks that is literally going on and flying on peoples food!! When I seen this I immediately threw mine away. Others had said the same thing after I spoke up upon it and took pictures. Call me Kyle all you want, but it's very unsanitary and I get this is a franchise business as well but still, hold to your standards. Yoshinoya used to be one of our favorites years ago. We recently went to this restaurant near and ordered two combo drinks plates. The beef was a weird looking shredded meat the shape of lasagna noodles. Very poor quality meat with a lot of fat. If we go again, we'd only order the chicken. The beef was disgusting. read more

I've been coming to this Yoshinoya for years. Their large bowls are a such a better deal than the smaller bowls. I like that their vegetables are cooked just right. No overcooked mush here! This place is always clean. Even though the place was packed, my order was made quickly. I got a birthday bowl (Yoshinoya Rewards) and I thought "It's my birthday, let's try something new! I deserve it!" So I ordered egg rolls and tempura shrimp. I didn't know what I had been missing! The egg-rolls and shrimp were so crispy! The dip for the egg-rolls was a surprise with a little kick. Member???! Back in the 80's til the early 2000's? Yoshinoya's were EVERYWHERE?! San Bernardino itself used to have a couple at least. Yoshinoya used to be THE PLACE to go when you wanted beef-bowl..and it was cheap! Member??? All that salted beef and rice goodness.. generous portions for like $5? It was the perfect place for a college student to eat cheaply! Member? You memberrrrr......! Yeaaaaah those days are long gone. Sadly, the Yoshinoya chain (at least in the I.E.) has shrank down to a scant few locations. This one in Redlands, located in a corner of the Walmart shopping center on Redlands Blvd, is one of the few remaining in the area. The closest ones being in Fontana and Riverside. What's more is that this location is a little challenging to find, as its wayyyyy in the corner of the plaza almost behind the Walmart next to the Animal Urgent Care Center. The location itself is nice enough. Small without being cramped and the large windows let in enough natural light, so the place feels airy enough. And ahhhh... the smell. That comforting smell of salty yet savory meat that greets you at the door takes you back on a nostalgia trip (for those of as that are old enough to remember). The smell alone puts a smile on my face. Unfortunately, that's almost as far as the nostalgia train goes. To re-iterate, Yoshinoya used to be one of the best "fast food" values in town. Alas. those were the days...and they were good days, to be sure. But now in 2023, it seems the prices of their dishes has almost doubled in price. Now I understand about the whole concept of inflation... but double?! This wouldn't be *such* an issue if the portion sizes had kept up with the times. However, this is not the case. The portion size of the meat has remained the same whereas the portion size of the starchy rice has gone up! They have a nice selection of beeff, chicken and even shrimp bowls/combo dishes. Don't get me wrong - the taste is pretty much the same as it was back then. It's still great tasting and delicious - there just seems to be less of it and the value of it for the price is far less. I give this place a solid 3-star rating. I think I would pretty much give every Yoshinoya 3 stars unless something outstanding caused me to bump it up or down. This location itself is nice, though not the easiest to find; and the food is was good the last 3 times I've visited. However, as a whole, I can't give locations more than 3 stars due to the lack of value. Yoshinoya used to be the go-to spot for decent beef-bowl at a fair price. This itself would always ensure the locations were packed with patrons. Each time I've been here, there's only been a smattering of customers. Sorry Yoshinoya, you can't charge WaBa Grill prices and expect customers to be lined up out the door. Sadly, even the nostalgia train goes a little off-track sometimes. read more

I used DoorDash and I ordered one of the extra large meals so that I could have extra for another day. I also ordered the eggrolls and a Pepsi. The Pepsi did not have enough sweetness at all the eggrolls you could tell they had been sitting around for a long time. The oil in the eggroll on the outside was saturated, not freshly cooked, but it was saturated as if it had soaked into the wrapper and was sitting around for a long time And then they were cold. The extra large meal had the beef and the teriyaki chicken, even though the chicken has a teriyaki sauce on it, I used to work in a restaurant. I can tell when a chicken is old and is slimy. The chicken was very slimy even underneath all the sauce and underneath the skin the chicken was slimy and so was the beef. Something is wrong with that food. I contacted DoorDash. I got partial refund not a full refund. I tried to call the store each time I call they pick up the phone and hang it up. They won't answer a call. I mean they pick up the phone but then they hang up because they don't wanna talk to you. The supervisor needs to know what's going on. I am so afraid I'm going to get food poisoning later on I took a couple of bites of the vegetable vegetables, the beef and the teriyaki chicken before I learned that it tasted funny and something is definitely wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if their phone line is busy and people are calling in to report having food poisoning. read more

I wasn't expecting to be greeted as I walked into the newly opened Yoshinoya and was surprised at the kind gesture, especially coming from a fast food place. Unlike the Yoshinoya in MoVal, this one does not have a drive-thru; on a positive note, however, this establishment is surprisingly quick! There is ample parking just outside the store and is easy to locate just south of the 10 fwy off California and Redlands, in the Walmart shopping center. My coworker had asked for extra teriyaki sauce and was told it would be an extra $0.65... Just FYI for those of you who like your food all smothered in sauce, LOL... Hey, I'm not judging :) The food is as good as you would find "Americanized" Asian fast food (e.g., Panda Express, Flame Broiler, etc) and, in my opinion, better than fast food burgers & fries. The price is relatively the same as PE and FB. The popular Beef Bowl is served here along with Chicken & Veggies, Angus Steak, Sesame Wings, noodles, as well as other dishes. Haven't been to Yoshinoya with my father in over 25 years!! We both had a craving and went. I'm so happy we did! We were visiting CAR DOCTORS OF LOMA LINDA where we left our car for service and BTW they are amazing also. Came here for lunch and splurged. We both had double chicken plates no veggies. The chicken was super fresh. Extra finger please! Lots of pepper!!! This took me down memory lane. I'm so happy we stopped in. My father extremely enjoyed it as much as I did!!
