Do not trust this business. Hard to overlook the smart mouthed rude employee I encountered. The Oven they sold me was improperly installed and when it turned out to be defective anyway, they refused to service it. So. besides being incredibly rude they do not stand behind their products. We bought a set of Speed Queens from them about 12 years ago. Still running strong. We recently had the drier repaired (it was again 12 years old). Turned out to be a heat sensor on the circuit board. Armand (Smartest appliance guy on the planet) fixed it. And then answered all my questions about other appliances. He told me what brands to avoid in the future, and the history of the different manufacturers. KG is my go-to appliance store. read more

This is for KGs response for an at home service call. 10/10 for getting a service tech (Armand) out within 24 hrs. 8/10 for time between getting item needed for repair.... Shortages. 10/10 for Armand! This man seems to have knowledge on everything you use in your home! He's a wealth of knowledge and insight and is very professional and extremely personable. I appreciate his "service tips" in maintaining my appliances upkeep. The cost was well under what the manufacturer quoted and beats getting a new appliance. It's all about the upkeep. Well, these guys don't care if they stay in business or not. Back in February I went into the store, ready to drop $1200. On a new range. The man in the showroom was very unhelpful and didn't care to answer any questions. I bought my range elsewhere. Again, needing a new refrigerator, and wanting to support small business instead of the corporate giants, I walked in. He refused to even talk to me except to refuse service unless I put on a communist slave muzzle. There's another $1000+ of my money going elsewhere. Too bad, KG. My mom bought a used washer from them yet on the ticket to return said they wouldn't take it back if there is an electrical issue... who would think that after purchasing a washer you would get home to have it flood two rooms in your house because the water to the washer tub over flowed. BEWARE!!!!!!! Do not buy used appliances from this store!!! We bought a washing machine from them. Flooded our house!!! For 2 weeks we tried to get some sort of help or at least answers, NOTHING!!! We finally brought the machine in and we're told we installed it incorrectly. They claim they check and test all units before they go on sale yet they claim on this particular unit a mechanical sensor malfunctioned and caused the flood. They will not return our money because they say it's working fine now! I refuse to take the machine back as they said all units are tested beforehand and yet this one malfunctioned and they still won't stand behind it! Thankfully the flood did not harm anyone in our family as it could have potentially caused electrical issues that could have been devastating!! My 2 year old slipped and fell, that's how we discovered the flood. The owner asked for my help to unload the washer, then, refused to help me, them, claimed I threw it at his front door!!! Really!!! Very unhappy. I contacted them to repair a dishwasher mid-Nov 2022. Technician diagnosed a problem with one of the pumps - cost plus diagnosis was approx $580. Wrong diagnosis as the dishwasher was not repaired. Tech made 3 visits to repair - nothing worked. KN scheduled a 4th visit but no one showed. I fired them on Jan 13. I'm not happy. Once the sale is completed KG is done with you. I purchased a thousand dollar Speed Queen washer that does not clean well, leaves fabric softener all of the bottom of the machine when the cycle is done (and I did not use too much). The softener also did not come out of my clothes and once dried they were ruined. If I wanted this kind of service I could have spent way less money and bought from a big box store which is what I will do the next time. read more

Had a great experience with KG's repair tech (Chris) on a really crappy day. Appointment was easy to make last week and he came out right on schedule at the house. Even though I was his last scheduled stop for the day, he was still very polite and professional and helpful. He worked on my dishwater for over 30 minutes troubleshooting even though my power was out and still gave me many options. Was even willing to come back tomorrow to look at the washer again. Even though it cost $75 for the service call, it can be applied towards the cost of either a replacement dishwasher or replacement part. I would definitely give them another call the next time I have issues and will review once I figure out if I want the part ordered or the washer replaced. read more

Asked for a simple swap out of an in the wall oven for our kitchen. Our appliance went bad. Direct replacement of a GE model. They refused the sale and work. Stated it was too complicated. Would require an electrician and a carpenter. I went to Home Depot, bought the oven and installed it myself in 2 hours, including the trip to the store. Business must be good for these guys to turn down money for an easy job! read more

This is the worst company and worst customer service I've experienced. First they quoted us to fix our dish washer with replacing the supposed damaged part. We agreed to the quote and there was going to be a 5 day wait to order the new parts. 10 days past and they never came back. We called because we had already paid for the diagnosis 75dlls and they had forgotten to order the part. Once they came to "fix" it they left and said it was ready. The first time I used it the same problem was still there. So then we called them back and there was a different part that was damaged now and we had to wait another week for them order it and to come back. They jus tócame today after almost another 10 days the second time again. The guy was upset because we wanted him to wait for he whole cycle to run and make sure it was working fully. He said he wasn't going to stick around for almost an hour to see that. I just really hope that they fixed it this time I will post again if it didn't. I will never use them ever again read more

Here's what to expect if misfortune falls upon you and you use KG's services... Once your appliance stops working and you settle on this morally and ethically bankrupt company you will waste lots of money and valuable time only to have been taken through the ringer. Their service representatives are negligent, their service technicians are extremely rude and will destroy your property and lastly (most importantly) the manager will offer nothing to make the situation right. Expect ineptitude, expect terrible service and expect no apologies. I honestly don't know how this company is still in business. My experience is outlined below if you would like to know the details of how this company operates and how shockingly unpleasant your experience will likely be. ACT 1: My washer stopped working and it gave me an error code. I looked up the code on google and found out my washer had a pump issue. I called KGs and the service rep seemed nice and the price was comparable to other appliance service centers, or so they said ($220 total cost). I gave two pieces of info to the representative. 1) The error code and pump issue that my appliance was experiencing so that they could come prepared. 2) I told the rep the time I would be home to get an appointment set up and the rep AGREED on a time. ACT 2: The service tech showed up at a time that was not AGREED upon. My girlfriend works nights and woke up to answer the door to meet Armand the service tech who says he is there for the "Initial Service". She politely let him know that I had an appointment later that day to which he responds that they do not set up appointments and we must be mistaken. She hesitantly lets him in and called me. Caught off guard, I rushed home while the tech checked our washing machine only to come to the same conclusion that we have a pump issue and unfortunately, he did not come prepared with any pumps. While waiting on me to drive across town he aggressively insisted that we pay $75 (To tell us what we already knew). My girlfriend paid this amount to get the man out of our home. Once I got there Armand told me that we need to schedule a second appointment to fix the pump. I expressed my confusion that I already knew we had a pump issue and thought KGs would come prepared. I decided that we would eat the cost and schedule a second appointment and go longer without a working washer. I set up the second appointment, this time making it very clear when I would be home from work. The rep said he will make a note for the appointment to be near the end of the work day. ACT 3: The same service rep showed up, again at an alternate time than what was discussed. My girlfriend answered the door to Armand and called me. I rushed home... again. Upon finishing the pump replacement, he informs my gf that he needs to get paid and cannot wait for me to get home even though he showed up 3 hours earlier than discussed with the KGs service rep. With the aggressive nature of the service rep my girlfriend tells him I will be there in a few minutes and asks him wait on the front patio. I get there and immediately get the sense of his urgency to leave. He walks up to me and says I owe $238 (Not including the initial $75). I tell him I am going inside to see that the washer is fixed and he abruptly throws his clipboard on the ground and says he does not have time to wait on me to verify his work... Stunned at this I told him I only want to make sure it works before paying. Angrily he raised his voice and said I am going to report you as a non-pay! He quickly picked up his scattered items that he threw and I told him I am not comfortable with his aggressive behavior. "Fine!" he yelled and got in his vehicle and left. I walked inside trying to fathom why he was in such distress. Once I got to the washing machine I realized why he was in such a hurry to take our money and run. He had broken the hinge of our door that folds closed in front of the washer. ACT 4: The morning after I took pictures of the damaged door to document the incident. When I left for work I saw that the KG's appliance tech, in his rush to leave before we noticed the damage to our property, had accidentally left his pay device laying in my yard where he had thrown down his clipboard. I pick it up and decide that in good faith I will return this expensive device and talk to the manager. I even called ahead to tell them when I would be there to show them that appointment times can be honored. I met the manager "Ray" and told him I was not looking for money or a reduction of my bill, only for someone to fix the damage that KG's caused. I gave him the device, showed him the pictures of the damage and paid my bill. Ray offered no apology and said he has heard nothing but good things about Armand and that we will be in touch about the damage they caused. A month later I have not heard anything and with the power of retrospect I figure I do not want another KG's employee in my home anyway. read more

Ended up using KGs to repair my oven which was a mistake. For $400 they replaced the control board due to a thermostat problem, came back two weeks later because they didn't wire it correctly and two burners didn't work and then after using the oven seven times we're back to a thermostat problem and they want to charge me again!!! read more
