Service tech Dennis was great. No issues with his work. And they were responsive compared to some other companies that I called. But way too expensive. $300 for about 10 minutes of work. And Sears overcharged for little plastic door lock (strike). Sears charged $58. Found same one for $7 on Amazon. Sorry to say but this is one reason why Sears has fallen out of favor with many Americans. Used to use these guys for everything (car, home, etc). Will probably be the last time. Side note, automated system / AI is horrible. No way to update basic info once they put you in system, they put the wrong address and it will not let you update in system. They were requested to fix my washer and dryer. They have canceled 5 times in 10 days. Today the Technician named Nathan was set to come to my house. I even received a text saying he was on the way, but he actually canceled my appointment. I was not notified. When I checked to see what was going on with Nathan, he canceled my appointment. They are not worth the time. Last repair guy did the same thing. My husband thinks its the guy Nathan, who canceled every follow up on us to repair a refrigerator. 4 months with no frig. Refrigerator was not repaired. It went on for 4 months. It looked like it was a guessing game to see what part was bad. Parts were replaced and did not solve the problem. Went with some one else and it was repaired with in a week. Besides that, professional and polite. Can't necessarily blame the tech, after someone with experience repaired it, it was apparent it was lack of experience and training. Also Sears cancelled on me couple times on the day of which was a big inconvenience since I had to arrange to be home on the days they were supposed to be there. If I could give zero stars I would! I waited a month to get a service visit to determine the problem with my refrigerator. When the service technician arrived, he was pleasant. And scheduled a repair on 7/11. At that time we paid for the parts not covered under warranty and at that time we paid for a warranty for the entire house - not a very smart move! On 7/11 the tech was a no-show. They did not call nor text nor email. When I called I was told WE need to reschedule. The first available appointment was 8/8, another month! On 8/8 again a no-show. I was told via a robot, WE need to reschedule to 9/5. On 9/5, AGAIN no-show; Need to reschedule to 9/19. Today is 9/19. I called bc it was 4 pm and he was again a no-show and again no contact from Sears, and was told by the bot, I need to reschedule... I believe this is a scam or fraud or both! It is nearly impossible to talk to a person and when I did and asked for a supervisor to call me, (twice) no one ever called. When I called today to cancel I finally got a human being and asked for my money back, the man on the phone canceled to service repair, But gave me another number that was supposed to be a direct line for me to cancel the warranty and get my money back . But it is NOT a direct line as he said it was. It was another recording. !!!!! More deceit and lies! Yes I'm angry!!! Sears waisted 4 entire days of our time! It was nice that they offered to provide additional assistance, even though I knew they would not reimburse me for 4 days of lost work or the 2.6 months loss of the use on the insured appliance. Updating my review. As it stands today Sears refunded me everything except the initial $99. Service call fee. Thank you. That helps making the unfixable pill go down a bit better. As for the service my previous review stands about the help I was given but as for the wait time in between appointments for the parts was downright stupid. They need to stock more parts in their trucks. Customers shouldn't have to wait weeks for repairs bc parts are taking that long to arrive. Side note I was offered something off on a new unit from GE but based on all the negative reviews they had on their new units I'll be declining that offer. Good luck to everyone that has new units. What the hell is wrong with Sears repair services and the cost? $104 just to come out and give a misdiagnosis with a labor estimate of $290 to re-clamp a water hose, which wasn't even the problem. He never even took the top cover off to look inside, all of 2 screws. Not sure how he could do his job correctly and really figure out the problem, but what the hell for $290 he could possibly get there and find the actual issue then charge some more. Sticking a phone camera up the backside to assess is a pure rip off, probably judges his sirloin steak the same way. It cost me nothing and all of 20 minutes to open, "correctly" diagnose, fix, and return to service; the same amount of time he spent to do much of nothing. Internal cold water hose had ruptured. I was able to shorten the hose at rupture and reattach, viola, job done!! I Lied, it actually it cost me $104 for a whole lot of nothing. read more

I have used Sears Appliance repair several times, always with excellent service and work. First: water on the floor when I pressed the water button on the door. One technician replaced part of the hose. Unfortunately, he didn't replace a long enough section and it still leaked. The next time his manager came to the house and repaired everything perfectly. He explained what had happened and showed me where the problem was. This was two years ago and no leaks since then. Recently our dishwasher stopped working right, stopping before the final rinse. We have had a couple techs here, and they replaced two parts at different times. Last week they replaced the master control board. Unfortunately, it still is not functioning correctly. I have a tech scheduled for tomorrow. Stay tuned. I am very pleased with the technicians' work, manners, and punctuality. read more

Technician Mark R. called letting me know a 15 minute window when he would be here. He was on time and went right to work. Within an hour he had the doors aligned. No fuss, no muss and nothing to sign; it was covered under GE warranty. Finally, great service. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the company management didn't make contact directly with us when things went so poorly on the first try. Attitude on first visit, so bad I we hoped someone. Anyone else would return. That was ordering parts. Tech was to return on 28th, but for some reason did not make it all day, the messages got to we were next and tech was on his way but after being half hour late finally got a message after refreshing screen again that we were rescheduled for the 1st of March, again from 8 to 5, schedule showed we were 1st, next, but tech was still late, for us being next. Finally arrives takes the stove apart, discovered mice feases and stopped told us he was not allowed to work on such items, put stove back together and departed. Mouse droppings are not located in stove where normal customers would ever see. Behind knobs, behind panel, under base area of stove. Could not see anything till panel was physically removed by unscrewing 7 to 8 screws. Tech had attitude 1st day but seemed fine today, 2nd visit, overall was fine. Perhaps knowledgeable, but don't know because he didn't really do anything but remove front panel and then replace it. If parts were replaced on propane stove, I can only assume his knowledge. read more

Sears scheduled an appointment for 4/23/22 and sent me daily reminders via text message to remind me for a week. They set a 4-hour time window for technician arrival. On 4/23 the time windows passes and I contact Sears about their technician "no-show, no-call". Sears promptly tells me they had to reschedule my appointment for 5/3/22. No explanation except we are sorry for your inconvenience. Have to take a day off work and hope that Sears can manage a simple process of dispatching a technician to a location. Absolutely the WORST Customer Service I have ever had to deal with to get their product to work. We have a Kenmore Microwave that we purchased from Sears and also bought the warranty protection plan. My microwave has gone out for the third time now since we bought it for the same issue, it keeps blowing the fuse. Each time that I have called it takes a couple of weeks to get an appointment and for a technician to show up. First time, the Technician replaced the fuse. It blew again about two weeks later, another Technician came out after waiting another couple of weeks for an appointment. He replaced some parts and called it good. It stopped working again this past Aug 2022, so I called and waited a week or two again. The Technician was here 18 Aug and ordered several parts to be shipped to me. I received the parts within about a week but I was given an appointment of 07 Sep 2022 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. I took off work today to be here and heard nothing from anyone. I tried calling the main SHS 800 number about 11:00 am to see what was going on and was informed that the Technician was unavailable today. I had a VA appointment today in Tucson so I waited until 12:30 pm until I had to leave for my VA appt and had asked the Sears Customer Service Rep to have the Technician call before they came because nobody would be home for the afternoon. While I'm at the VA in Tucson, I get a text from a technician stating that they are at my house at 1:24 pm and nobody is home. This is the MOST INEPT company that I have ever dealt with and have asked numerous times to speak to a supervisor or manager without ever getting to speak to one or NEVER have I received a return call. I asked again today to speak with a Manager that handles repairs or scheduling and never got a call back. So in total time, I have been without a working microwave for at least 1-1/2 to 2 months worth of downtime. I called for repair appointment 8/9/16 due to loud noise & vibration under deck of riding lawn mover- somehow 2 appointments were made for 8/22/16 & 9/26/16. Technician arrived 8/22/16 & replaced both spindles. On 823/16 I started the mower & engaged blades - at first the engine ran OK, about 10 minutes later RPMs dropped & engine would die - happened several times, finally engine just wouldn't START. 8/24/16 I called Sears Resolution phone # on the new problem & was told there were NO dates OPEN other than 9/24 & 9/26, unless some one canceled an appointment - I was given another phone # for BENEFITS - and I could get $50.00 for my troubles - I told $50.00 would not cover my troubles.
