I had a appointment here the other day. I have to say the staff were all very Professional and Friendly, I was seen by a few people before the Dr. Came in to see me, asked me many questions to see what my pain level was as well as what makes it worse etc. A friend of mine had back surgery from Dr. Khavkin and he is doing so much better than he was before surgery and he could hardly walk and kept falling before surgery, Its been a little over a year and he is a total different person now so much better! I am 36 year old woman with chronic back pain/problems for more than 5 years. Last year I had a laminectomy by Dr Jeoung. Dr jueong; a neurosurgeon caused me to have 2 near fatal infections shortly after the surgery. I suffered from sepsis and osteomyelitis for 5 months. After 3 agonizing months of in and out of the emergency room the staff at San Martin finally did bloodwork and was able to determine that I indeed have sepsis. I went through septic shock almost nearly killed me. I felt my blood pressure dropped my organs failing and collapsing on the floor during the recovery of that laminectomy. Because the infection was so bad my bones collapsed. Causing me to become more disabled. Bed bound most of my days for a year. I suffered a lot of spine damage and deformity causing my bones to have degenerative changes which concludes I now have osteoarthritis... at 36! My pain specialist recommended I go to Dr. Khavkin and stated he is one of the best surgeon known to save lives in the city of Las Vegas. After what Dr Jeoung, doctors and nurses neglected me and mistreated me causing my disability I thought I could never trust another doctor again. Since my pain specialist been through this long hard journey with me and knew my pain I trusted her and decided to give dr khavkin a chance. Since meeting Dr Khavkin I immediately felt there is hope. He is really determined to fix me me up and improve my quality of life! He was right! I had my surgery on the 27th of February 2023 today marks the 7 day of my recovery. I feel like a new person.. I can feel my spine is stabilized. I no longer feel like there's a knife jammed in my back as I always did before surgery for years. (Yes I was hurt in agony everyday) no amount of heavy pain medication helped. Today I feel great! I am walking and I am able to stand without my legs buckling on me. My husband went to see dr Khavkin in nov 2021 from a stay in Henderson hospital. He was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and a surgery was recommended but the first available according to his office wasn't until Feb 2. We booked it because my husband was in so much pain. We had to do preop tests. One was a stress test at Nevada heart and when we got there Jan 31st was told insurance didn't approve test. So I called insurance and was told test was never requested. So Khavkin clinic had to reschedule surgery and earliest was 3/30. My husband is in pain and now has to wait another month. U think they could accommodate this situation wasn't our fault come on there must be an earlier date than 3/30 read more

So very disappointed with this place!! I found out I have thyroid cancer, was told to schedule with ENT. I called this doctor, OF COURSE, I told them why I was making appt. So, I get to doctors, they tell me doctor not there, I'd have to see nurse practitioner. Not happy, however it is what it is. On intake sheet, OF COURSE, I put why I'm there. My appt. at 11:15, I get there 10:50. They bring me back about 11:30. Shortly after I'm taken into room a guy comes in and asks if I've brought my records. No, no one called me prior to my appt. called me for them. Yes I confirmed with my doctor they DID have them before going to appt. anyways, he was my records aren't there, he will go look again while we call our doctor again. Fast forward AN HOUR!!! they guy comes back in to tell us he'll be in soon, we confirm he has records. HE DOES NOT. Now I'm way pissed. You think he would have told me!! Nope, he even says they may be next door, not sure, WTH!!!??? Zero frickin compassion, zero common sense! The nurse practitioner now comes in, no records, she proceeds to tell me the doctor no longer does thyroid surgeries. I'm DONE, WHY the heck would they even schedule me #1, 2, why the heck let me wait there hour half to tell me this! DO NOT GO HERE, super unorganized, ZERO compassion, etc. Obviously I stormed out, I was on fire, HOW DARE they treat me or anyone like this. This review is purely for ENT as I have had no issues with the neurology side. The ENT side is not great. The first visit, the doctor was running 2 and a half hours behind, so by the time I actually finished my appointment and left the building, all of the lights had been turned off. I was told that my information was going to be submitted for authorization to my insurance and that could take up to 6 weeks. 3 months later, I call to follow up only to find out that the physician I saw doesn't even practice there anymore and that they were told not inform patients until the day I called. I get a copy of the test result report, but ask for a copy of the imaging as well to take to the doctor at his new practice because their new physician is only there once a month. 2 weeks go by and that imaging is not prepared and there is only one person in the office who can do it...but he doesn't work Mondays, which was the day I called and no one else could figure it out. I made appointment on line with dr. Marc Kayem, ENT. The office called me 45 min before the appointment to confirm. We called them back and they would not give us our appointment with the doctor for another 3 weeks. I have an ear infection and lost hearing on one ear. The office staff was rude and didn't even try to work with us. We are definitely not going there and suggest everyone to take your business elsewhere. This is beyond upsetting. Do yourself a favor and read other people's reviews. I rarely write reviews, and love encouraging businesses and leave five star ratings. But this was not even worth one star. read more

Dr Khavkin ruined my life ! Not only will I be reporting him for using large screws that are not in tact but they went bankrupt for so many lawsuits. I have osteoporosis and dr Khavkin should have caged me front and back but instead he caged the back knowing that I had this diagnosis and put huge screws into my brittle bones. I'm 100 lbs and have been in excruciating pain after my surgery. It's looking like I'm now going paralyzed due to his crooked, heartless , thought out plain murder. My triplets lost their father and now they could be their mom ! He's a horrible dr, person and puts lives in danger. I was new to this practice so I am not sure if this was an isolated incident or a commonly occurring catastrophe but here is my story. I arrived to the waiting room of the Khavkin Clinic and was promptly and professionally greeted by the very polite and professional front desk staff. I signed in for my family member and then took a seat to fill out the necessary paperwork. I remember seeing only a couple other patrons in the waiting room with me at that time. One of them was a young lady also accompanied by whom I believe to be a family member. The young lady was soon called in and not long after that did the most flagrantly unprofessional, unethical, and outright ridiculous series of events unfold. Relatively soon after I began to hear what sounded like faint screaming of a women from somewhere else in the doctors office. I couldn't quite make out what was being said until a women who I later identified as Khavkin Clinic Staff (Dr Arlyn Valencia) came hysterically yelling up to her front desk staff complaining about one of her patients who I later identified as the young lady whom I noticed in the waiting room earlier. I am unable to respite everything she said verbatim however I do remember the following; Dr Valencia: Why am I seeing (Patients Name) ?!?! Who is she and why is she asking ME if I have seen her records?? I don't ever want to see (Patients Name) again!! Send her to another neurologist!! (Keep in mind she was using the patients full name!) Then after that the front desk staff went into a little bit of a scramble trying to control the situation only to be aggressively ridiculed by Dr. Valencia. Shortly after I noticed one of the young ladies at the front desk begin to cry and then leave the area to compose herself. Then in what I as a practicing attorney can certainly describe as a Major HIPAA violation, Dr Valencia began to openly yell the specifics of the young female patients medical history for all to hear from what I believe to be her medical records. Dr Valencia appeared to be have nothing short of a mental breakdown and this particular patient was unfortunately was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Which to be clear is NOT an excuse for Dr Valencia. In complete shock I then decided that this particular practice was not the place for me or my accompanying family member and promptly left without a word. I only hope that the young lady who was mistreated decided to criminally pursue the matter because it was completely unacceptable. The only reason I am rating this review at 2 stars is because the front desk staff was very professional and did everything in their power to try and mitigate the damage by way of apology to everyone who witnessed this blunder. All in all I do NOT suggest this Neurology Clinic as long as Dr Arlyn Valencia is associated with it! read more

In August of 2013, I had an appointment with my orthopedist. The x-rays the orthopedist had done at his office indicated a need for an MRI. They showed a disc pressing on a nerve in my neck. My orthopedist told me he wanted to give me an order for an MRI and have it done that day; I was told to return to his office. My husband took me to have the MRI. We returned to my orthopedist's office. Upon looking at the MRI, my doctor said, "If I were to slip and fall or be in a fender bender and the disc moves, there would be a strong chance of the nerve being severed, causing me to become a quadriplegic." My orthopedist had his assistant call Dr. Khavkin's office to see if he would be able to see me on Monday. All of this took place on a Friday afternoon. I saw Dr. Khavin on Monday. He accessed my MRI, looked at the images then confirmed what my orthopedist told me. I was scheduled to have surgery ASAP. I came through the surgery and have been pain-free since August of 2013. I have made numerous attempts to work out a billing issue with Khavkin Clinic. Over almost a month and a half I tried to talk to the office manager just to try to work this out so I could understand it. The issue turns out to be on my end, and I take responsibility for that, but if the office manager would have returned messages and talked with me in the first place, this would have been resolved immediately. Instead I had to go through all the paperwork that was sent to me and think back as to what was happening in 2019 as I was paying my fees and why I would all of a sudden have a balance forward in 2021 while I was paying at the time in 2019. I finally figured it out this afternoon. Nobody in the clinic for the whole month of March would return a single phone call or answer the phone, but Sandra in the billing department. Nobody was talking to me, returning my calls, or even answering them. I called and left a voicemail to try and schedule my husband an appointment with Dr. Valencia because he was having horrible side effects from his MS medication and again, nobody called me back to schedule him. I even wrote a message to them on their Breeze app that wasn't returned regarding this and also requested them to cancel my upcoming appointment that still has not been canceled either. I am going to do the right thing and pay my balance and my husband and I have already found a new provider. I don't need or want the stress from a doctor's office who treats their patients this way. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Khavkin for the past two years (it has only taken this long because of the VA, don't worry). In the beginning I was a skeptic, because everyone says they can fix you.. but how do you know you can trust them? I was gifted this amazing surgeon at a time where I no longer could work, I was walking with a cane, crying inconsolably because of the pain. Medications don't work for me, the pain injections were great.. for about 3 days. I thought my life as an active person was over. He was put right into my lap by the VA Choice program at a time when it wasn't my "choice". Dr. Khavkin is very straight forward. He gets to the point and doesn't mince words. He is confident, possibly to the point of arrogance, but he has every right to be. The man is a miracle worker!! I remember the 1st day I walked into his old office. They had terrible wait times, and it seemed like I was just a number to them. I have watched Dr. Khavkin's office transform over the past year into the well oiled machine it is today. He hires smart, capable, FRIENDLY, intelligent staff who are kind, caring, likable, and efficient. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone in his office. I have never had an issue with any of them being anything but helpful and honest. The wait times are no longer an issue, sometimes you'll have to wait because there was an emergency.. it happens, they're doctors. But now they call you and give you a heads up. This is SO AWESOME. I could literally go on all day about this office. They truly CARE about their patients getting better. And I cannot thank them enough for giving me my LIFE back!!! Stop looking for other surgeons. Seriously. This is a man who built a practice with his brother, who hires capable, intelligent, amazing people to work with and beside. You're not going to get anyone better. Right now I'm still fighting with the VA, but Dr. Khavkin's team is HELPING me fight. I've never experienced care like this in my life. read more

I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor's office. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and wanted to know a few options. They have my records of my CT which showed the herniated disc in my lower back. They scheduled my physical therapy and MRI for my upper (cervical) area of my back. I have had to call the office e many times to get things fixed and they don't seem to care. They want to push an epideral shot over and over. I am currently not in pain, but want to see what my options are before making any decisions. I want to get an MRI of the area with the issue but are focusing on the wrong part of my back. 10 calls to their office and no call backs. The office closes in 1 hour and they dont answer the phone. This is beyond unprofessional. The best part is that after 10 days they still have not called me back. Horrible service. read more

Dr. K is amazing I would refer him and do refer him anyone and everyone. I came to him after 3 months of N ear infection at 6 months pregnant. I had had the worst experience previously and he rescued me. Literally he went to the extent of having a concoction formulated at a speciality pharmacy for me then blew the powder in my ear. This was my magic resolution. His staff even picked it up for me The scheduler is not the best and she gives a little flack in flexibility, but he is amazing. I needed late hours as I am a teacher across town and he stayed late for me. This is what medicine should look like. The office is beautifully decorated and very upscale. I am a patient of Dr. Khavkin's. He removed a brain tumor growing out of my skull 3 yrs ago. Given his impeccable credentials , bedside manner & his high standards for his staff, I was THRILLED to learn Khavkin Clinic partnered with Las Vegas Sinus & Dr. Kwiatkowski for balloon sinuplasty - I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Dr. Kwiatkowski " Dr. K" & his staff were extremely knowledgeable & gave me detailed info on what to expect. They said some ppl take 1-3 days to recover, but other than pressure in my sinuses, I felt good enough after the procedure to drive to Costco, grocery shop, and have dinner before heading home. It's a bit weird to hear the sinus bones crack but other than pressure, I had zero pain. They give you Tylenol afterwards, and 15 mins later, even the pressure went away. On the drive around time, I had to lower the air con fan speed bc I felt like i was getting TOO MUCH cold air up my nIt was odd to be able to breathe so much better! I am so pleased with the results that I am off to go snorkeling in the Philippines next week! I highly recommend Khavkin Clinic, Dr. Khavkin, Las Vegas Sinus & Dr. Kwiatkowski ! Waited 1 hour and 50 minutes despite showing up 20 minutes early to appointment. Wow. Not only did they have us wait an unreasonable amount of time but also Dr. Terrance J. Kwiatkowski failed to apologize or even acknowledge the unprofessional wait time. To add insult, Dr. Kwiatkowski rushed through our meeting: he spent 5 minutes and failed to explain reasons for the issue other than "we have to do more tests," "that is possible," and "I don't know." So if you want to wait 1.8 hours for a worthless 5 minute meeting then go here. Maybe the other doctors are more professional but I am not sure I want to risk waiting another 1.8 hours next time to find out. read more

Front desk and MA's are friendly but inefficient. I was to be referred out to a doctor for pain injections; never happened. I was to be referred to a physical therapist but they referred me to a center that doesn't accept my insurance. I called them back for a second referral and it's been 2 weeks - nobody called me back. Dr. Scheneier seems really friendly and capable on the other hand. He also took the time to show me my MRI and x-rays and explain where my issue was. Maybe I will just do Pilates like he recommended instead of waiting until I age for a referral... read more

I first visited Dr. Khavkin in late 2013 with MRI in hand, and severe pain in my lower back. I was also suffering from sciatica that extended down to my foot. After reviewing my pics the doctor told me that I was a candidate for a microdiscectomy procedure. He explained that it would be a minimally invasive procedure with quick recovery time. The bad news was that we would not be able to schedule the surgery until February 2014. When I visited the doctor for my pre-op appointment I was feeling pretty good, and asked whether the surgery was still necessary. Dr. Khavkin immediately sent me for an additional MRI. We met again the and the doctor showed me both MRI's side by side. Unfortunately, the reason that I felt better was because the disc had shifted off the nerve (sciatica relief) but the bulge was significantly larger. He warned me that the micro surgery would most likely not work. I ended having full spinal fusion and am the proud owner of a couple of rods and screws. Recover and back to work in Les than 2 weeks. Fast forward 5 years and I remain pain free (at least in my back), and so thankful for the care, skill, and dedication of Dr. Khavkin and his staff. I recommend him, without reservation, to anyone needing back surgery. read more

It is sad when you sit in a doctors office and 8 patients in the waiting room are talking about how they expect to wait for two hours before being seen. Evidently it is the norm around here. Lots of unhappy faces. I arrived 5 minutes early and waited 2 hours and 47 minutes for a 7 minute visit. Last visit was only 2 hours and 16 minutes wait. Evidently our Doctor Gods are the only ones whose time is valuable anymore. I don't give negative reviews very often but when feel people's business practices won't change unless it affects their pocket book I feel compelled. I hope this makes a diffence. I had a C4-C6 cervical fusion performed in October, 2017 by Dr. Tagaki. I was naturally very nervous about the procedure, however, Dr Tagaki and the entire office staff went above and beyond to explain everything that would happen and allay my concerns and answer all my questions. The surgery went seamlessly, I was home after a few days in the hospital and recovery quick! Now it's a year later and I am pain free where as prior to the surgery I couldn't move my neck without pain. It's Dec 27, my appt was at 11:45 am and it is now 2:06 pm, we-are still waiting, this is completely unreasonable and very appalling to the patients. 4 people in front of me left extremely mad because of the long wait, they had been waiting since 10 am so about 4 hours wait now. This is not the first time we had to wait this long and hearing from people in the room, they all had the same experience. Something is extremely wrong with thier scheduling or thier system, and I don't think it's completely the front desk staffs fault but they could be contributing to the issue by not giving feedback to the management of this clinic. Until this clinic can figure out how to implement an efficient way of doing business, patients will not come back here. I urge everyone that if you get referral to see a specialist here, please ask your primary doctor to see another doctor.Not to say the doctor was not good, in fact, I thought he seemed very professional, showed a lot of experience and performed well during the surgery for my child. however, something has to change or patients will continue to go somewhere else. Dr Khavkin, I saw first hand the number of unsatisfied patients that left this clinic today. I urge you to take a closer look and ensure something is done. While your care maybe top notch, the extreme inefficiencies that is currently present maybe your downfall. Takes months to resolve billing issues that should not have happened in the first place. My son was given a ct scan order by Dr. Kwatowski because he has constant infections and when I arrived at steinberg the employees replied with well what does the doctor want scanned it's not on the order? They called the office, I called the office, but the Doctor had already left for the day. So now I needed to take another day off to pick up my son and take him to get his scan. I went to Khavkin Clinic for recurring swollen tonsils. They only have 1 ENT available to take patients and it took me several months to see him. Once the appointment day finally arrived I was excited to get some help with this terrible recurring pain. The ENT, Dr. Kwiatkowski, showed up, I told him my complaints, he looked in my throat, and then announced that they were not swollen at the moment. My thought: No shit, I'm sorry I could not plan my illness based around your availability! What I actually said was I understood that, but it was a recurring issue and I could lose my job based on how much sick time I was using. I told him I wanted them removed. I'm a 41 year old female. He tells me that at my age that's not happening. I have a list of complaints. 1) Apparently Dr. Kwiatkowski thinks I am too stupid to know when my tonsils are swollen. 2) Dr. Kwiatkowski did not take into consideration how much time I had waited to actually see him. 3) Dr. Kwiatkowski did not listen to me when I explained my job was at stake. 4) Then Dr. Kwiatkowski assumes that I have no idea how painful it will be. He didn't discuss it with me to understand any further. He announced, like he was God, that at "my age" I could not make the decision to have my tonsils removed. 5) I decided to try for a follow-up in hopes that another flair would convince him to remove my tonsils. Although at this time I am considered an established patient....they told me it would take me a month to see Dr. Kwiatkowski again. I was only looking for someone close to where I live to help with my tonsil removal. But due to such poor treatment by Dr. Kwiatkowski I will have my tonsils removed in Utah where patient need vs. care is taken into consideration and patients are treated with respect. Shame on Khavkin Clinic for allowing a such a terrible physician work for them. If you cannot make room for new patients it would be better to just tell them you are not accepting patients than to have a hack in the office barely doing a job at all! read more

I have called this clinic numerous times at different times of the day and I can say they do the very best not to answer the phone. Sometimes you get a busy tone or your put into a phone que and you wait and wait. Poor and confusing communication, non timely referral to others for tests and still waiting for a quality consultation from back injury. Very frustrated, just want to get back to doing my job but months later I still don't have a diagnosis. Not recommended, unless you like waiting and poor quality treatment. 2 stars might be generous. read more

My 80 years old mom had issue with heavy nose hemorrhage since a month. Dr Terrance Kwiatkowski was the ENT doctor on call for St Martin and St Rose. The first time I met him at the hospital wasn't the most pleasant one. My mom was in hospital for 3 days before Dr Kwiatkowski came to her bedside and checked on her. I was worried, upset at him not coming to see her earlier when he asked my mom to be transferred from St Martin Campus to Siena Campus in Henderson by ambulance. Communication did not work well between the hospital / me / Dr K :( Within a month, Dr K. performed a procedure at the hospital, 2 cauterizations at his office and another procedure at the hospital again... Nose hemorrhage are insane! I highly recommend Dr Kwiatkowski care if you have any ENT problems. He is a busy man who works almost 7 days a week between his office and his time at the hospital! I apologize for being rough on my first review about him. I was so worried about my mom and seeing the suffering she was going through just triggered the anger in me. Again I am sorry Dr Kwiatkowski for being not nice the first time I met you. Since a month, Dr K have seen my mom couple times. At the hospital after the procedure he followed up on her wellness. A week after her hospitalization, she started bleeding again, he had us come to his office right away and he cauterized twice her nose in between patient. The third cauterization did not work :( unfortunately , back to ER for the 4th time this month. He recommended nasal embolization to stop the bleeding (hopefully definitively). Even a Radiologist did the procedure, Dr K kept an eye on my mom. He was in constant contact with the Surgeon and kept me in the loop. Today Sunday 01/07/2018 he came to remove a balloon they placed in her nose (Yes on a sunday) I could tell how tired Dr K looked. He was performing surgery till 4am he said :( Guys, I have read many reviews about the practice Dr Kwiatkowski works at. Yes sometime your appointment is at 1pm but you are not seen till 3:30pm... call before you come see if it's any delay ... I read the front desk staff wasn't the kind or greatest one, i did not experienced any bad attitude or behavior from them. Don't let the staff stoping you from being seen by Dr Kwiatkowski. GREAT and Knowledgeable ENT doctor in town. If you are suffering from any ENT issues and have to rush to ER, go straight to Siena Campus where he is on call. Medicare / Medicaid patients are welcome. I highly recommend Dr Terrance Kwiatkowski for ENT care. He saved my mom's life twice! She is so grateful for his care. This review is for scheduling and wait time: Warning don't have plans when you come here. After waiting for an hour, a girl came out from the back stating that the doctor was running an hour late, my fiancé who already had waited 3 weeks to get this appointment asked so since we have already been waiting an hour are we about to be up and we were told no and if we wanted to reschedule it would be another 2 weeks out! To make matters worse a lady was on the phone telling her daughter how she was fit in for the day, they weren't going to accept her but she convinced them to get her in for the day and they called her back BEFORE us! I know surgeries may take longer than expected sometimes, but this clinic needs to get their act together with scheduling. The first time we came we waited over 2 hours as well and this time we were told by another client that every time she comes the minimum wait time is 2 hours. read more

My Son had 2 surgeries to remove a cyst from his neck. After the first surgery it came right back. Paid for a second surgery and it looks like it has returned. I will need to find another specialist in this field to treat the issue at this point. If you have a scheduled appointment at the office you better plan on being there for hours. Every appointment I had was always hours extra wait time. Good luck. No recommendation and 1 star is generous. read more
