On three occasions, I witnessed an individual cough right on the food they were packing without covering their mouth and another time, I saw someone pull up their sleeves while wearing gloves and preparing food. The individual did not remove and wear a new pair.. no, just kept on going as if nothing happened. Lastly, someone went from being on their phone to packing orders. These little details matter. I definitely won't return after my last visit for the reasons above, including the following: I ordered a very specific item and was told the wait time is 5 minutes. Made no sense and I asked is it going to be fresh? The person at the counter who was super unfriendly barely responded. I went home and noticed the tempura in my roll wasn't fresh. The roll was sliced so thin it was falling apart. Threw it in the oven on high heat before eating. Their prices don't make sense. Quality is poor and I'm being generous by giving them 3 stars.

There are a couple of stools to sit at if you really want to eat in, but this is really a take out space. This is a Kosher Sushi place, meaning that you won't find any shellfish offerings. What you will find is some interesting pairings of fish, vegetables and fruits combined into roll. One of the things you'll find is that the chef uses pretty much the freshest ingredients available, with rice that has probably been cooked in the last few hours (think back to your last bad sushi experience and it probably relates to stale rice) and combination of textures and flavours to create unique offerings. For example, I'm allergic to fish, so for me veggie is the only option for Kosher Sushi, how about seared pineapple and cucumbers in your sushi? Sounds interesting... how about seared pineapple, avocado and jalapeno peppers? now we're talking.... If you know what you want, then order in advance and pick up, if you don't know what you want, you'll probably have to wait 10 or 15 minutes until you order is ready (but it'll be freshly made). There are a number of trays that you can easily purchase or you can have them make something of your own. We're frequent customers and we would be more frequent if we had more dollars and time.

I ordered two rolls of spicy salmon and it was the oiliest thing I've ever had. The panko was soggy and there was a layer of oil at the bottom of my takeout box (refer to picture). My friend ordered the salmon teriyaki and she found a piece of wood or something in her stir fry. I don't know if this was just an "off day" because sure they were generous with the roll filling and the people working were nice, but I still think this is unacceptable.
