They are located inside the Cerritos Medical Center, on the corner of Clarkdale Ave and Artesia Blvd. The major cross streets are Artesia Blvd and Pioneer Blvd, South of the 91 Freeway. Dr. Gina Wilvang was the one that treated me and she gave me a good overview of what I was going through. I had Plantar Fascitis which is an inflammation of the tissue that extends from the heel to the toes. Nothing that can't be treated as long as I wear the proper shoes, complete streching exercises, and massage the foot while also using ice to reduce the inflammation. My visit didn't last long at all and the wait time to see the doctor was minimal. Dr. Wilvang was courteous, friendly, and informative. I rated 3 stars because the visit was nothing out of the ordinary. If I continue to receive good treatment options and great service in the following visits, I'll adjust the rating accordingly. There are 2 other podiatrists that reside there. Dr. Shawn Todd Van Enoo and another female Korean podiatrist that I didn't catch the name of. Also, when completing the preliminary paperwork, I noticed that there's a $25 appt cancellation fee, if you don't make the visit or let them know within a certain period of time. Usually, people think this is ridiculous but I've seen this fee go as high as $75 or $100 at other medical practices so it's good to read before you sign.

He has a wonderful bedside manner - kind, fun, and genuinely caring. He took the time to thoroughly explain my ankle stabilization and toe surgery, answering all my questions patiently and honestly. But what truly sets him apart is his dedication to going above and beyond for his patients. He truly has your back! For example, knowing I was recovering at home and couldn't celebrate my birthday, he actually ordered a special dinner for my husband and me! It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. When the surgery center closest to me, Advanced Surgical Center of Beverly Hills (which is the absolute worst surgery center in Los Angeles - avoid at all cost!) screwed up big time with my insurance and caused me mental duress and a panic attack minutes before my surgery, Dr. Joseph stood up for me without hesitation and then cancelled all of his surgeries there for a month. He puts patients over everything! Thanks to his skill and care, my recovery has been smooth and successful. I have no scar at all on my toe, and my ankle is healing nicely and will be minimal scaring - he's that good! I can't recommend Dr. Joseph highly enough. His staff is amazing too! He was kind and super efficient both times, gave me tips for how to prevent it, and even gave me supplies for aftercare. Even though I had a referral from my doctor, and showed them my insurance card, they refused to take it, making me pay over $500 out of pocket. They never asked me over the phone for my insurance, nor when I arrived 15 minutes ahead of time for my appointment, even though this is standard procedure at literally every medical office I've ever been to. I'm not sure if they assumed that because I paid out of pocket the first time, I would do it again (didn't have insurance at that time), but I hadn't been to the center in over *2 years*. It's just so weird that they didn't think to double-check, and then they proceeded to blame me for not bringing it up, giving me an attitude and everything.
