I went in on a Sunday Evening, July 30, and a musical duo were singing and playing. Half the tables had customers, but it looked like mostly coffee and tea. A waiter finally told me to sit anywhere, so I sat at the bar. The musicians started a break before I could get a photo. The poor waiter seemed to be the only person working, cashiering, waiting tables, and serving. The menu looked very good, and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. I used to frequent the restaurant in the 1960's and 1970's. I really can't judge the menu since I didn't have enough time to wait for the order taker or cook. The coffee bar is usually labor intensive in preparation.

We had breakfast here and the food was delicious, and the restroom was super clean. And the espresso was great.

It took a while to come out but we were both happy once it did. Servers were good here too. Friendly and responsive for both the evening and morning meal. The quality of breakfast was disappointing. My generic eggs, hashbrowns, etc was OK. My partner's avocado toast was made with some sort of odd avocado puree (not a fresh avocado) and tasted odd. They also had a large pancake that was slightly cake/cookie - ish. Hard to explain... Crunchy on the outside and spongy on the inside. It didn't taste bad, but is not what you expect when ordering a pancake. The coffee tasted watered down and weak too. For what you get, it seemed too expensive. I think you're safe going there for dinner, but perhaps not breakfast.

I chose a taco salad and it was good but could have been a lot more filling with some more lettuce in there. Wasn't that busy when we were there for dinner on Saturday and very light staffed so our waitress had to do everything and got a bit busy to come check on us over all it was nice to have something in house since the town seems to close up around there at 4pm or earlier if a store just figures it isn't busy they leave even before the time on sign. One plus here you can get breakfast, lunch or dinner at anytime of the day!

It was an average Saturday night and we were on our way home, so we stopped. There were two waitstaff for the entire diner side. (The main dining room was being used by a party). So, in total, there were about 15 tables for 2 waitstaff. I should have known something was off at the beginning, when our waitress started off by telling us how she hadn't been able to eat herself, while taking our order. The whole time she complained about how she was slammed. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with a salad, veg, mashed potatoes and gravy. His came out sans salad and completely cold. I ordered a grilled cheese with chips. I think that sandwich saw the flattop for a max of 10 seconds. The cheese hadn't melted and was still cold from the walkin. AND ALL OF THIS TOOK 35 minutes for our meal to arrive from order to delivery. And, as a bonus, the light was out in the ladies room and I almost knocked myself out, going into the stall. (The light, I learned later was outside the ladies restroom). It was absolutely miserable and we will be eating elsewhere when we go to Vegas.

Oh my goodness! I wish we could give her six stars. We have been searching for a good breakfast…read moreburrito since we moved to Las Vegas NM in May 2026. We've tried just about every place, and really, only one other place besides Olivia's had a breakfast burrito I would go back for. However, it was so expensive I can't afford to go back. In addition to having really friendly and accommodating staff, Olivia's has the perfect breakfast burrito. My husband and I are vegetarian, the only animal products we eat are eggs and sometimes cheese. We buy Olivia's egg and cheese burritos and instead of the hashbrowns that everyone in New Mexico uses for their breakfast burritos I request papitas (which for those of you who don't do Tex-Mex or New Mexican food, papitas are sliced or diced fried potatoes). The ratio between egg and cheese is absolutely perfect and the papitas are golden brown, slightly greasy as good fried potatoes should be, and cooked through, with just a hint of a bite. One of our really strong dislikes of the other burritos we have tried are the undercooked hashbrowns that everyone uses here. We come from Tex-Mex but we're not afraid of making changes. However undercooked potatoes is one of the changes we just don't want to deal with. Olivia does not make us want to cling to the old ways because there's enough deliciousness in one of her burritos to give up all previous burritos from all previous lives. They're also a really decent size. For some reason many of the places that serve burritos in Las Vegas NM have decided that if they can't make a good burritos they'll make a giant one. They are basically two meals wrapped in a huge flower tortilla, and cost accordingly. With Olivia you get a nice handful but it's something that you can eat at breakfast and not feel like you're going to sleep the rest of the day. The price is fair, high enough to ensure adequate filling but not so expensive you're using half your weekly food budget to eat one. The café is very cute inside with life sized cutouts of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, some neon and a cozy breakfast diner feel. They also have a great menu that is not just breakfast. They're open very early they close at three and in between those hours you should really get over there and treat yourself because Olivia's is the best we've come across since we've been in New Mexico!

I will say that the tortillas were homemade and amazing. The green chili was spicy, but was really kind of blah. The waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. Maybe I just chose poorly from the menu (everything I had was centered around the green chili). My son had the chicken strip basket with fries and he loved the fries and said that the chicken was yummy. The coffee also wasn't anything to write home about. Feels like an old diner vibe and seems to be generally clean. Liked it, didn't love it. Next time I'm in Las Vegas I will try something different, not because it's bad but because there are probably better places.

They were so ridiculously good that I ordered another round... and then somehow another. Before I knew it, I'd inhaled nine sliders like I was training for the Olympic Competitive Munchies Team. Now I'm sitting here wondering... after this next dooby, am I about to march right back in there and order another round of sliders? The odds are looking pretty good. Happy trails, buckaroos! PS: I honestly couldn't tell you what they taste like under normal circumstances. But if you're higher than gas prices, those sliders are five-star fine dining.

We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. There are lots of other choices in Las Vegas NM.

The reviews for this diner on DoorDash were pretty great, so we trusted those. Wish we had come here first to read these comments. My chef salad had no turkey or ham or hard-boiled egg on it, only grilled chicken (which I paid extra for), lettuce, cheese, and unfortunately tomato, to which I am allergic. I had specifically asked for the tomatoes to be withheld. My husband's taco salad was also bland and had cheese when he requested none. We also ordered two chicken sandwiches with fries. As reflected in previous reviews here, the fries were overcooked and very salty. My chicken sandwich, again, came with a tomato when I asked for none because of my allergies. The chicken sandwiches were also completely dry with no mayonnaise or sauce of any kind, so they were very bland as well. It seems like this place has been having problems for quite a while. Possibly time for a personnel change.

Booth seats and regular chairs are rather comfortable as well. One star less because I saw an ant on the wall and that irked me a bit.
