I used to go to the one in Santa Clara all the time so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the one here in Colorado was in my city! I first peeped out their semi-annual sale and found some GREAT deals! 40% off the lowest marked down item and 20% off everything else. I left there with two HUGE purple bags of stuff and didn't pay over $120! They have cute bows by the cash register, a pretty good maternity section and a large room in the back strictly for shoes. I like how they change the front entrance for seasonal items which is quick when you're in a hurry. I've looked for snow boots, Keen shoes, swimming robes, dance unitards.. and have found them all there.. in great condition. The staff isn't that friendly and the buy back program is inconsistent, but if you're there to shop, it's definitely worth a peep! read more

I dropped off a Pottery Barn baby bed and they basically stole it. I dropped it off went back the next day and they were closed. My daughter ended up having an emergency c section and by the time I got around to calling them they told me they "threw it away". You don't throw away a perfectly good bed. Also sure that if you leave something they say they donate it. I called three times since and no one has called me back or attempted to even make it right. read more

Just sayin'... if you're hoping to "earn cash" by bringing in gently used kids' clothing, be prepared to be completely humiliated. I took in more than thirty garments, most of which were brand new with tags still attached and less than 6 months old... everything carefully pressed and organized, and a new piece of baby equipment that had never been out of the box, and was offered $20 total for the lot (they didn't take it all) The price tag total of what I brought in that was new, was more than $400! Not that I expected to get half of that, but $20?? I had the option of taking a store credit of $25, but a quick look around the store showed me that $25 would buy maybe four useful used clothing items total, if I shopped carefully. It was clear that they were harried with the new store opening, and the clerk made it clear I could "take it or leave it", in a way that was exasperated and unfriendly. OK... gee, sorry to bother you here. Why advertise that you want clean kids' clothing, if you're going to be insulting to the people who take you up on it? I don't begrudge them for buying very low and selling pretty high, but I think the lure of "Hey, you can make money selling your kids' clothing and equipment", which they advertise heavily, is pretty untrue. You're not going to make anything close to a quarter of the price of NEW clothing you bring in, let alone what used clothing might be worth. read more

I really like Kid to Kid. They have a good selection of gently used kids stuff and maternity clothes. That last part is key for pregnant ladies because maternity clothes are expensive and kind of hard to find around town. For kids the sizes range from newborn to school aged kids and it's really well organized. They also have section for equipment like Pack-n-Plays, swings, highchairs, etc as well as toys, books, and other fun items for little ones. Kid to Kid also buys lots of gently used kid and maternity items. The selling process does take a while so be prepared to spend some time there. They seem to always be in need of items like Pack-n-Plays and stuff like that and buy clothes seasonally. Also, they will buy your car seats as long as they are recent and you have the manual (if you don't have it still most brands have one online you can print and they take that too.) And if you bring things they don't want to buy but you no longer want they will donate those items on your behalf to places around town like foster organizations, the Denver Rescue Mission, and others. The staff was super nice and the store is fairly clean and well organized. I'll definitely be back in next time I need to sell some of Baby N's (now Toddler N I suppose) stuff or am looking for items to pick up for him at a reasonable price. read more

I had an appointment scheduled to sell my boys' stuff for three weeks and I drove an hour to get there. Not once did anybody mention that they were not accepting baby items which was the entirety of what I brought in. I rescheduled my work meetings and my son's zoom meetings for remote learning so we could get this errand accomplished. We have purchased and sold at this store numerous times and won't be going back. I will also tell my friends who frequent here to go to another store that I found who accepted my items instead. read more

Check this place out if you are pregnant or have small kids and on a budget. Easier than dealing with Craigslist to buy and sell used baby/children items. Some employees are more helpful than others. Most of them are nice, Bethany is fantastic, extremely kind and an efficient employee. I've been here several times and it is usually busy. Bring your patience and you'll be a happy shopper. Be prepared for a wait if you plan on selling and even though they have several employees the checkout line can be long. The store is small but has a great selection of new and used items. Very fair prices, I purchased a used infant swing for $25, activity saucer $25, high chair $10, a Tonka Truck Scoot n Ride $14 (new $70), boy pants $2-$3. Kids grow so fast it makes sense to buy something used, everything can be wiped down or washed. It's a small store and it's crowded, they only have 2 shopping carts but serval baskets. They offer email discounts and coupons on a regular basis if you sign up. read more

It's a shame that the first reviewer only gave Kid to Kid three stars. His actual review seems quite positive, so I don't know why he didn't give it five stars. I almost skipped this gem based off of what appeared to be a poor rating. This is a fantastic consignment shop for infant, toddler and children's clothes and toys. They also have a nice selection of maternity clothing, which I've been raiding lately. The store is wonderfully well organized and has an enclosed play area where you can let your little ones pretend to cook or vacuum while you browse a bit. My children love that there's a special, small "Kids Only" entry door just for them. I love the order and great selection, plus the prices are great. When this store first opened I became an avid customer. Then I became an employee, and now I'm still shopping at this amazing store. I drive over an hour to visit and buy clothes here. The prices are very good for high quality kids and maternity clothes. They also have an excellent selection of strollers, bouncers, high chairs, and almost any baby item or toy you can think of. This place has been around for as long as I can remember. 13 years ago when my niece was 2 years old we got items from them. Now I have 3 kids under the age of 3 and I still live close by. I get the lower star ratings from people that sell to them and don't get very much in return, it's happened to me. With that being said, I'm also a small business owner. It's not cheap to run a business period. After wages, space leasing, taxes, electric, etc. It's expensive. My experience today? Absolutely amazing. We went from the drs office straight to kid to kid. I had all 3 kids in tow and their behavior was almost embarrassing. Tired, crabby, mind of their own and I almost left the second time my 2 year old walked off In a split second and almost gave me a heart attack. This is where the 5 stars comes in. It helps that the store was slow, but one of the two employees working walked over to the front door so my toddler couldn't escape. I was able to finish checking out with peace of mind that she was safe. I can't do that target, Walmart or goodwill. I was able to finish everything AND she walked out to the car with us, carrying our items in the bag While holding the hand of our 3 year old. She went above and beyond being an employee. She was simply another mom that understand it was a difficult trip and she stepped up to the plate to help me out. I am beyond grateful that we could finish and I didn't have to come back later to finish our trip. From one mom to another: thank you for not judging. Thank you for lending a hand. From an employer to your employer: absolutely amazing. Thank YOU for going above what's expected and helping a customer. Did I mention the kids took off their shoes and she waited patiently as they put them back on before we walked outside? Godsend to one tired mom. read more

They make it seem like it is so easy to bring your unwanted baby stuff for them to buy. They even say on their website that they will donate what they don't buy. With 2 toddlers I loaded up my car with clothes and toys. All things they say they take in their website and then unloaded them with my kids in tow. They said they would not take any of it because it was not the sizes they are looking for. That is fine! I was ready to donate what they didnt want, like the website said. NOPE! With my 2 kids I had to reload all of my things and take them to goodwill. As a busy mom I do not appreciate the miss representation of your servoces. THEY DO NOT DONATE WHAT THEY DONT WANT so if you are looking to just get the baby stuff out of your life just skip the hassel of loading and unloading and reloading and go straight to Goodwill. read more

So I checked out this place, seeing what i could find for my daughter who is seven now. The shop is small but holds a section for clothes and toys/books for baby to the age of 9ish. Its what I would call a "hemy" down store, much like the goodwill or arc, etc. The items are used, and donated for the most part. Hence the name. I was able to find some good stuff, I was impressed with how you could tell the try and have high standards for presenting the items back to the public. They even repackaged some of the toys. If your heading to the goodwill for items for kids I would recommend you stop by here first. read more

I have been there about 3 times and every single time every employee I have encountered has been so so incredibly rude that it makes it not even worth the good prices. I mean when the service you get is someone who rolled her eyes at you or gets all huffy puffy cuz you ask a question is not a place I would ever want to spend my money at. I've been selling to Kid to Kid for many years and I'm used to the disappointment when it comes to the ridiculously meager amount they offer for great quality clothing and accessories but my last selling experience was by far the worst. I brought in a clothes basket of clothes and items on the Friday before Memorial Day. I was instantly told that due to their sale, they are only doing drop offs and they may not get to it today and said they would call me when it's complete. Nobody ever called me. I ended up calling the next day and they did have it done and they let me know how much cash I could get and said I had 7 days to come get it. I came in later that week and got my cash but when I asked for my clothes basket back, another woman who works there began to yell at me about how they don't hold my property for more than 24 hours. I began to say that they hadn't even called me within 24 hours but she rudely kept cutting me off. She was almost causing a scene as I stood there calmly and she just kept yelling and not letting me speak. She was also confused thinking I wanted the unwanted items back, which I did not. When she finally realized I was simply asking about my clothes basket, she instructed one of the workers to give me one of theirs. She handed me a dirty, cracked, old basket and I left there knowing I'd never, ever sell to them again. That woman, who almost appears to be a manager, has no business treating people like that. read more

Still pop in from time to time, but over all not my favorite place. Plus--they have fair prices for buy back/sale. Minus--customer service pretty icy, as if customer presence is some what irritating in the first place! They appear to be arbitrary in their buy back. They claim they don't take anything older than 3 years, but that's not true for upscale mall and catalog brands like Mini Boden. They'll pass over like new and never goes out of style Carter's items, for example, and pay you for a five year old Mini Boden that's fraying at the bottom. I guess they know what sells better than we do (benefit of the doubt), and would rather have empty racks than stuff that doesn't move. They're generally under stocked except baby items, with virtually nothing for boys, so it's odd that they refuse so many buys. Quality generally less than what I'd hope for a consignment type shop, more like high end thrift, but way over priced. read more

The clothing here is in good condition and they often have wonderful brands like Janie and Jack. I'd argue that their prices can start a little high on the brand name clothes, a bit closer to what you'd pay for them at a nice department store on clearance. However, they have wonderful sales, and I've left with a whole bag of good quality, name brand clothing for my infant for under $30. Considering what I usually pay on sale clothes here, I think the price I got consigning my baby's things was reasonable. My only complaint is that they didn't bother to tell me what they paid me for my specific items and didn't even issue a paper copy of the store credit they gave me. They were very unresponsive when I inquired about it. I would rather they were more transparent about those things. I definitely intend to frequent the Arvada location of Kid to Kid for the foreseeable future. It is an inexpensive place to buy fashionable clothes for a rapidly growing child, and I like the fact that my used children's clothes find new homes and aren't wasted. read more

Very helpful staff! I called to see if they had any snow boots in April since Colorado is giving us more spring snow. They took the time to look for snow boots in the size needed and put aside both pairs for me to see. I will be shopping here more after this experience! read more
