It's Kiddie Park, a San Antonio tradition. I came here when I was young and now it's my kid's turn. When the new ownership took over it was much needed. They fixed all the rides and brought every thing up to regulation because this place was about to close down. The rides are very nostalgic and work great. Bad condition of a KIDDIE PARK. First thoughts upon entering was "wow this is so neat and cool little spot for the kids". After a ride or two, I (along with my sisters and their kids whom I went with) noticed a HUGE BEE PROBLEM. There has to be more than a few bee hives in this park because bees are swarming everywhere. My nephew got stung and the bees kept surrounding him, and all the employees said was "what do you expect by coming to a place you know there is bees?" Also "bees emit a pheromone that attracts other bees." Well...I didn't expect there to be hundreds of bees flying around the trashcans and kiddie rides. My husband put money in a ride on helicopter for our son and once the ride started, 10 or more bees came out of the inside and swarmed the ride leaving my son scrambling to get out. This place needs a serious beehive relocation. Not acceptable at all. read more

This place does not have the best parking. The rides are old and out dated but I think that's what they are going for. I do like the prices of the food there. My daughter is 3 and she has a blast everytime we go. They also offer very affordable birthday packages. read more

Really cute little park, my daughter had a lot of fun until she got stung by a bee. I would give it 5 stars if they would do something about the bee problem. There are hundreds of them swarming around, I'm not talking about just a few bees. My kid isn't the only one that has been stung here. Management, please take care of the bee problem and we will come back. read more

This place makes me sad. Having not grown up here, maybe I just don't get it, as all of my 30ish year old friends have talked this place up with their fond memories of childhood. I took my niece here one weekday afternoon. From her perspective (mind you she is 3) this place is like Disney. From my perspective, this is that creepy place that they show in movies where old carnival rides go to die. Everything was horribly rusty, most of the rides had broken cars, and the water ride was a bit swampy. The reason that I am saddened, and not disgusted, is you can tell at one time it was a great place. And really, if they could put some money and TLC into it, it would be AMAZING. The only semi-bonus, is that one weekdays, it is apparently very empty, so your kid has their pick of the rids with no lines. However, with that being said, the people who work there obviously don't see too much human interaction through the day, so you feel a bit forced into the "small talk with a total stranger" time while your kid is riding and giggling away. read more

This place is different and that is what makes it pretty neat. The rides are antique like & the park is small. The park being small is awesome because you can sit in the center of the park and see your kids no matter where they are in the park. ALL of the equipment is old but still runs well and is maintained by a caring staff. The ride operators are friendly and young but care about the kids. My 2 and 3 year old grandsons love it there and cry when it is time to leave. Great place to bring the little ones. My 1 and 3 year old love coming here. The only problem we had with our last visit was that they seemed to be short on employees. We had to ask for assistance for our kids to ride certain rides because there was no one managing them. Also, get there early, there isn't much parking available. read more

This is a super cute and friendly place for little ones. My 2 year old boy enjoyed the rides very much. Employees were nice and coordinated well the operation of the various rides. I was not happy with one specific female staff who buckled my boy but left the seatbelt VERY loose on the "school bus" ride. He asked to get off before the ride ended because of that. I was, however, extremely satisfied with Eric who was super friendly with the kids and very attentive to safety. You could see he enjoyes the work! read more

This place does not deserve any stars, we booked a B-day party for our little girl who's big day is on the 30th of May. We booked this party with them in on the 2nd of May, tell me why they called me on the 28th of May at 715 pm and told us the park is shut down and the party will not be able to happen. Okay sounds like Sh**t happens, well this happened 3 weeks ago! so why couldn't they have called us a week ago and give us a heads up? They call us on Thursday afternoon telling us their will be no party! Our little girl has been battling Cancer for 2 years this month. She turned 2 in the hospital and when she turned 3 she was to ill to have a party. This year she is going to be 4 and she is doing so well that this was going to be her big day! her own party where she could enjoy. Now we are looking disparately to find a place with one day left to throw her party and since it is last minute this will cost us a little more than we planned. I have been to this place several times and yes it does look questionable with the equipment and appearance but for every little kid that goes there they are unquestionably delighted and enchanted with this place. I guess you have to see this place through the eyes of a child to fully appreciate what it means to the kids who ride, fly and speed along especially to parents that wave and smile and laugh at their obvious joys in this minuscule playground. Don't knock it till you try it. Four generations of my family have been to kiddie park. It's been cleaned up (new owners). Great for kids birthday parties. On hot days try a snow cone, that will cool you off. I bring the grand kids and they love it. There is also the park behind it. The train ride, zoo, sunken gardens, museum, trail and bike and a little golf to top it off. There is a lot of history in this park. Lets keep it alive for future generations. read more

I took my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter today. It was wonderful! She ended up being too frightened to ride the rides by herself, but every one of the ride workers let her sit on one for a few minutes, and would not accept tickets for it. The concessions are not at all expensive. The park was amazingly clean and well kept. I can't wait to go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone with young children. Even if they don't actually ride anything. My granddaughter spent at least twenty minutes playing in the coin operated helicopter, without turning it on. I am so impressed with how nice the workers were. I just can't say enough good about this place. read more

The rides were fine, yes they were old, but the history behind it was intriguing. The staff is what ruined our experience here. Their staff was nothing but irresponsible, careless teenagers. Only one employee kept an eye on the children while they rode the ride, the rest talked to other coworkers who abandoned their ride as soon as there was no longer a line, or pulled out their phones to check their social media because it was clearly more important than the safety of the kids. What crossed the line was when an employee talked to 2 other fellow workers, in a tone that the whole park could hear, about how he was having kids at the age of 15, while children and their families were in line waiting to ride the ride that this kid was operating. Also, only one employee actually interacted with the kids (the same who kept an eye on them). The rest had a look upon their face that clearly screamed "I'd rather be playing video games". This is a park with such a wonderful history, but I refuse to go back to a place filled with such negativity. Those kids need an attitude check, ASAP! read more

Highly highly recommend! My daughters 10 & 7 had a blast. For sure buy the unlimited wrist bands. The food is reasonably priced-and fun as you would expect. Buy the $5 sports bottle-its only $1 each refill. It was hot today and we refilled it several times. The carnival games require cash and both kids prized up easily! The staff was smiling and friendly. We were not there for a party, but there were many birthday parties on this Saturday and there was still plenty of room for all and the staff appeared so attentive to each party's needs. There is plenty of shade and misters throughout. Bathrooms are clean and air conditioned. The rides are old, but working fine and honestly that's part of the charm. My kids put it on the list for next summer already. (High five to the young man working the helicopters today from 2-5, he was all smiles and ready to help every child in and out safely-as they all did-but you can tell he enjoys his job). We had a birthday party for our daughter here on a Saturday. Parking was a disaster. When we arrived our tables did not have the table cloths or balloons that were supposed to be on there. I had to wait to set up the tables for the table cloths, which took at least 15 minutes. We were only allowed to get there 30 minutes early, so 15 minutes ate half of my set up time. Our party "host" wasn't around anywhere and didn't provide us with instruction on paying our balance in order to acquire the wrist bands for the kids. It was 15-20 minutes later than our party was supposed to start that I finally got wrist bands. I expected the party host to be easily accessible, and not have to go find an employee to call her over. Our guests had a great time, but I was disappointed with the party experience. They didn't help with the trash while opening gifts, putting gifts in bags or collecting things to load up. I won't have another party here again, but I will take my daughter back for an outing. read more
