This experience left me feeling really disappointed, and I've debated whether to write this--but I think it's important to share. My daughter and I arrived about 12 minutes late for her haircut appointment. I acknowledged that delay, and we were completely okay with waiting. In fact, when the stylist asked if we'd be willing to let the next client (who arrived early) go ahead of us, we agreed, and ended up waiting close to half an hour. When it was finally our turn, the actual service felt rushed and incomplete--no hair wash, just a quick spray, and no blow dry. When I politely asked about this, the stylist kept repeating that we had been late. I understood her point, but we had been respectful and flexible, and it felt like we were being punished for something we had already made amends for. What hurt most was the tone and dismissiveness, especially when she told us not to come back--in front of my daughter. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and not what I'd hope for from any professional, especially in a setting where children are present. We left feeling unheard and unwelcome. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm sharing this so others know what to expect. Literally the best place to get your kids' haircuts!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE Christina. She has been cutting my kid's hair the last 5 years since he was a baby. She has been there for the ups and downs of our haircuts and was the best when I was so embarrassed of my son's behavior. She is so patient, understanding. Absolutely love her. This is a "hole in the wall" but supports small businesses so I'm happy to oblige! I made an appointment but when I got there, she was just starting to cut the previous appointment's hair. I think she should've given herself more time in between appointments so that she can remain on time especially when you're dealing with littles and having to make them wait. There is plenty of TV and activities for them which is great. The hair washing station had a full lay day which is unique and she gave my child a bucket of toys to play with while she cut which was awesome. We were directed to sit at a chair that had a weird angle to the TV so she was not able to really watch any shows however. She finished up the cut with some fun braids and the price point is on par with the other children's hair salons. read more

I love they had appointments set. This gave us a bit of calm during these days. They get booked pretty fast so plan ahead with time. This place is great for little ones. Toys on one corner, waiting chairs for parents, washing station, cute drawers, etc. The hair washing station caught my eye as they have kind of beds so they can wash easily kids hair and don't hurt their little necks. They tried thinking about little details :) I don't know where I read they would charge for a car chair sitting. Not true. All their chairs are fun for kids. I wish they could have them when I was a kid :D Mine was a bit hesitant being this his first cut. Ashley kindly helped us with everything. I could noticed her 15 years experience on this. She had such a good vibe and neutrality even when she wasn't smiling at times (normal for everyone, right?). We talked about what we needed and I emphasized I didn't want it short. Because this big day we had ahead. She was trimming little by little, took her time and it was great! The results are just as wanted. She even suggested trimming a little more. We came in for a haircut with Christina and she was so amazing with my two year old son. He had a blast, while playing with all the toys & sitting on the airplane chair all while watching cartoons at the same time. When it was time for us to go he didn't want to leave! I wish nothing but the best and I always want to write reviews in good faith. This review is specifically about a disappointing phone call I had with the owner. To be honest, I doubt this was the owner. An owner to a business would not (or at least should not) give such poor manners and will always represent their company with the upmost integrity and quality. I had mistakenly called thinking this was a location that services mani/pedi for girls. I was shocked to receive such cynical customer service over the phone. This was then met with boasting how she is the owner, been in business for five years and has "never ever, ever" given such services as mani/pedi. I want to give the benefit of doubt to this location, but am turned off to even calling back and making an appointment. Maybe their services are good, but need improvement and further training with how they treat people inquiring for services; even if the request is not one provided by the business. I booked an appointment on Facebook and had our 10 month old son's first hair cut here on a Saturday morning. Word of advice - leave the stroller at home as the salon is up a long flight of stairs and there's no elevator. Christina put us at ease immediately and offered to save our babies hair for us so we can put it in the baby book. The waiting room has an awesome play room and our son enjoyed the train table. We got to choose a cool yellow taxi kids chair for our son to sit in for his hair cut. My baby kept turning his head every which way but Christina was an expert at distracting him with new toys and working around him while she cut his hair and shaved his neck line. I am all about supporting a small business but the customer service was really poor. I was made to wait for 15 minutes, my baby popped while we were waiting and they don't have a restroom inside so we had to step outside to change him. Once we came back the owner tried to rush us implying that we were the reason she was running late for her appointments when she had made us wait while she chatted away with her previous appointment. This was supposed to be special as it was my baby's first haircut, I refused to be rushed and left requesting to reschedule. I don't intend to go back here. Went in with our 1-year-minus-3-days-old boy as his first haircut (it's also our first kid). Ashley was amazing. Extremely calm, patient (both to kid and to parents), gentle and explained everything in detail --- all we had known before heading to the shop was "his hair might need to be shorter because he complains and scratches", and Ashley helped us figure out what would work. We had Mom hold the baby while the cut was underway. He didn't squirm or push away, and no single tear was shed, at all. 100 stars if I could! I made and appointment with Kids Cutz to get my son a haircut, he is on the spectrum and I heard that this barber shop would be perfect for him. I had also never heard of a Kids Barbershop / Salon before so I was intrigued myself. When we first walked in my son immediately started playing with toys! I talked with Christina for a while and we decided to let him pick what he wanted to do with his hair. Christina let my son pick his own haircut he wanted through a computer, which he was really excited for! Once he found his style and his haircut began Christina had toys and video games for him to play with to keep him distracted, which was very nice because the back of his neck is ticklish. He didn't even notice his neck being touched! When she was done cutting his hair she shampooed it, conditioned it and dried it. We've taken our son in for two haircuts (at 12 and 15 months), and Christina does such a wonderful job - both cutting his hair and keeping him happy and engaged during the haircut! Our 16 month old daughter has been there twice, and every time it was a great experience. Christina and Ashley are both so good with our daughter. Our daughter didn't cry on either of the appointment, but I want to put it out there that even though they're amazing, if your kid just doesn't like people touching their hair, you might get different experience - but this is regardless of where you go. BUT, they are very patient and they know how to distract kids. They also are so good at cutting hair while my daughter keeps turning her head to look the other way. The SKILLS! They are quick, they give good consultation (I'm still trying to decide on keeping the bangs or growing them out, but they gave us good advice on the benefit of either), and they are gentle with kids. The waiting area is clean, full of fun toys, calm, and quiet. I mention calm and quiet, because some kids are really sensitive to new and loud noises like hair dryers. I took my two year old son to get a haircut with Cristina today. This is the first time he doesn't cry while getting a haircut! He was ecstatic to go inside when he saw all the toys, train table, and salon chair cars. Cristina was wonderful with my son from start to finish. She kept him entertained while he was getting his haircut with toys, bubbles, and movies. She also introduced the hair cutting tools to him slowly so that he wouldn't fear them.
