When I said no and explained what I actually wanted, the stylist, Gary, eventually agreed but proceeded to do what *he* wanted anyway. Here's what happened: 1. Neglect: I was left alone with bleach in my hair for 1.5 hours, and Gary didn't check the foils even once during that time. 2. Unapproved haircut: I asked for a 2-inch trim, but he cut off 6 inches without asking. I was trying to grow my hair out, and now it's all gone. 3. Uneven haircut:The cut is uneven all around. 4. Uneven color: My hair has blotches of platinum, yellow, and my natural color where he didn't bleach at all. 5. Ignored requests: He ignored everything I asked for. He was juggling three clients at once, leaving each of us alone for 30+ minutes. Everyone left with yellow or uneven hair but was forced to pay full price. 6. Stylist consultations:I consulted with three different salons after my visit to Mirage. Every stylist was baffled by Gary's work. They explained that any professional should be able to lift virgin hair evenly, but he didn't. 7. Forced payment & pressure:I was forced to pay $245.66 for a disaster. Gary was incredibly mean and pressured me to say I liked it. 8. Unkind treatment: I begged not to have to pay. I've never encountered such unprofessional and unkind behavior in a salon. The relationship between a stylist and client is sacred. We trust you to with our hair and believe you want the best for us. He didn't care at all. I was so saddened by his behavior and my hair. While my cut there wasn't perfect, I did at least get a boring version of what I requested -- a style cut short and flat against my head on the left side, gradually lengthening in the back like a short rounded cap that hugged my head and tapered to the nape of the neck, and left long on the right side of my head but shaped to encourage the resulting deep wavy locks to hang languidly over and shade that side of my face. Like, drama. The stylist followed my instructions literally, but she failed artistically to create the look, or mood, I wanted.
