My favorite stylist MARI is not only awesome but very patient with my hair volume and the cut I want. I have seem her thrice in last 8 months and I have always loved her. She understands your hair quality, texture and shape of your face and suggest you the style. The best part is that she lets you decide and wont force her idea on you. It takes her not less than an hour to cut my hair and I just love how patiently she detangles, straightens and then cut each layer. I moved to Bothell from Bellevue but I wont stop seeing her. Heidi Wipf is my absolute favorite hair stylist at Salon Bella! She is incredible and always does such a terrific job! One of the last times I came in my hair didn't quite lift the way it should've so she stayed for another hour plus and redid the process. The last time I've been to see her I needed a very specific coloring process and she nailed it! I showed her some pictures of some ideas of what I wanted and she got it perfectly! This was my first time here since I just moved to WA a few months ago and needed to find a new salon. I made an appointment for a full balayage with Jamie and was super excited to see what she'd do with my hair. I'm naturally blonde and have natural highlights, and I explained to her that I wanted my hair lightened a bit but not too drastic of a balayage so it would grow out nicely. I showed her about five photos of what I wanted and she seemed to understand and said she would blend it all super well. Not sure what went wrong... She only slightly colored the back and top/front of my hair and toned the rest during wash. In my photos, you'll see she gave me these zebra looking highlights, which is not at all a balayage or what I wanted/asked for. She also did not blend any of it and you can already see the stark contrast and straight line between my root color and the "highlights". I wanted to be able to go at least 4-5 months in between colorings, but I'll have to get this fixed in like a month now. So GRATEFUL to find someone that can color my hair (I'm SO PICKY)! You have to really know what you are doing with Asian hair because it can turn brassy which I've seen on so many Asians and that's what I wanted to avoid. I can't thank Tara @tlcdesign1111 enough for doing such a beautiful job to get my hair super light the first time from it being pretty dark...you are AMAZING! Everyone nice there and welcoming. This I would say my first hair cut at a salon. I wanted it to be professional done. Erin is awesome I love her technique but I think there was some miscommunication. She showed me how short my hair would still looked good which was around shoulder length which would be about medium short hair. To which I agreed with, I showed her picture as well it looked kinda short but still long at the back not very styled or layered, and then another one which looked a bit more fun and shorter at the back which had a few layers. She cut my hair at a good length to which she had said would've been good and that I didn't need to cut too short. She began cutting my hair to which now is above shoulder but still a bit long. After drying my hair she continue to keep cutting my hair even shorter and started layering my hair so that means she kept cutting my side and the back even shorter. I was too tired honestly and at the end of the day my hair will grow back. I'm not mad at it but I still dislike what I got. It's still playful and fun looking but I'm still not a big fan so sorry Erin :/ Noticing my hair is on the thick side my hair is quite short looks like a bob cut, or another person that had mention from an anime Rock Lee but more styled. I look like a soccer mom :/ or like an ajhumma. I would still come back here everyone is nice and welcoming and I love their techniques it's very intricate I could see Erin very into my hair cut and making sure it was layered well. Vi is the one. Seriously. If you've given up hope on your hair, go find her and she'll make things right. I came to her with blonde highlights and she worked her magic to bring my hair to a super light, ashy blonde, practically gray/silver like I wanted. I rarely get my hair done so I didn't realize just how little room I was giving her to work with, having full highlights. She didn't have to, but she put in the extra time and effort to sift through ALL OF MY HAIR to find the dark strands she could safely bleach, minimizing the damage to my hair as much as possible. It was like trying to separate salt and pepper. That right there demonstrates just how passionate she is about her work and how she genuinely cares for her clients. Blonde highlights? No problem. Stubborn hair that won't lighten? She'll fix it. Thirsty? She'll hook you up with some yummy sugar-free coconut juice. Worried about maintenance? Vi was the one who did my hair. I like her honesty and how acknowledgeable she was. I originally wanted to keep my length of about 20 inches of hair but since I dyed parts of it black box dye she told me straight up the color will come out golden and not even. So she gave me the option to cut it all off or have the golden toned hair. I really love having long hair but I just needed a change and so I let her cut it all off. She gave me kind of like the high low cut which I've never had before but this was the part I was not happy with. My hair in the back was SUPER short and I did not like that. The only reason I was able to get my hair done was because someone cancelled last minute and so I took the spot because I've been wanting to get my hair done for the longest! Otherwise she told me she's usually booked about two months out. A little note though, she likes to make clients wait at least six months to go lighter so the hair doesn't break or get more damaged. Lost two stars because the pricing didn't really match what she told me it'd be and I personally think it was over priced(407$ plus tip 447$). My friend used to go to her too but switched to blend studio where the price is way more reasonable for the same quality of work. She's a good stylist, but if you have thick Asian hair like I do, and are wanting to go super light it will be an expensive and lengthy process with her. read more

When you can, you should *definitely* see her for a facial." And finally, this past spring break, I got my Big Chance. Sister #1 had to cancel an appointment, so when she offered it to me, I pounced. How could I pass up this Chance of a Lifetime? First things first, Caroline is so personable - she'll talk as much as *you* want to talk, she'll explain to you everything she's doing, she welcomes questions, and she *doesn't* try to sell you products. That's right - no sales pitch. And now, down to business. She started with a deep cleanse, complete with exfoliation, then steam, extraction, and post-extraction softening and hydration. Interspersed were hand and arm massage, paraffin hand treatment (hawt!), and treatment of the decollete (ooh la la!). I really wanted to like Salon Bella, but my experiences were so disappointing that I feel almost charitable giving 2 stars instead of 1. If they had not attempted to make it better (attempt being key word), it would definitely be a 1 star experience. I am disappointed everyone else seems to have a stellar experience because mine was far, far from acceptable. I had purchased a Living Social coupon for $60 of services, and I hate to think that is why I didn't get the proper service. I mean, I was legitimately looking for a new salon to patronize, and this one has convenience for me. I would have been a repeat customer, not the one hit wonders of Living Social and Groupon businesses sometimes deal with, but I was not given the chance to prove this. It began from when I booked my first appointment. I had scheduled a hair dye and haircut, but when I got through the haircut, I was informed that the appointment did not include a dye. The stylist did her best to accommodate me, but the process was done too quickly and sloppily. I discovered when I got home that there was dye all around my hairline and on my ears. I have less stains when I have dyed at home. This was just the beginning. I paid $130 (if you subtract the special, it $100 out of pocket - the $30 for the deal plus the $70 remaining balance) for a very very minor trim (it was almost no difference at all to my hair) and a dye job. I know that Salon Bella is an "upscale" location, but this is pretty excessive for what I got. Aside from the miniature trim, the real problem is that the dye washed out of my hair within 2-2 1/2 weeks. I was on vacation and could not get back any sooner, so I had to come in the following month. By this point, my roots were the exact same color they were before they were dyed, and any color left in my hair was from the application I had done myself almost 3 months before (not at Salon Bella). I have been dying my hair for years, both at home and in salons, and I have NEVER had a color wash out so quickly. I am careful to always use salon-quality shampoo/condition specifically for color treated hair. I had specifically asked how long the dye should last, and I was told that it usually lasts 8 weeks. I called the salon and talked to the manager, who told me that the color was guaranteed, but didn't really seem interested in helping me. I told him that I didn't have the stylist's name on me because I was at work, and he told me to call back when I knew it. I felt that he should have looked up my appointment to see who it was with, as it was only a month before, but he seemed to want me off the phone. This poor attitude seemed to permeate my interaction with everyone at the salon except for the receptionist. I later did reschedule, and when I went in, the whole process was uncomfortable. The stylist acknowledged that my problem was legit. She redid it, but there seemed to be this underlying opinion that I was whining and should just suck it up and deal with a terribly inferior (and overpriced) experience. We aren't all Real Housewives of Bellevue, and even I was, I should receive a little more respect than this. And the worst part? It's been less than a month (roughly 3 weeks now, but it started after 2), and the dye is AGAIN gone. My roots are completely back. My hair is not even in better quality than it was when I used Feria at home. There is something going awry with the dye at Salon Bella, and it makes me terribly sad that I had to lose $100 to find this out. I won't even bother contacting them again because it just isn't worth it. I don't want free dye jobs every couple of weeks with a side of attitude. I want what I paid for. Sadly, a $10 box of dye would have left me more satisfied.. and $90 richer. read more

I found this salon 1,5 years ago and I only had great experiences. Kelly did my hair color exactly as I liked it and thanks to Kim, I have a perfect hair cut. A few month ago, I decided that I want to have my natural hair color back. This would have taken a long time to grow my hair from red to my natural silver . Kelly talked to her colleagues about it and Heidi suggested to remove the red out of my hair. This was a time consuming procedure, but I'm very happy with the result. I came to her with super brassy hair and she basically fixed it in one session, except for a few stubborn strands in the back, but keep in mind I came from box dyed hair so it's very difficult to work with. The lady I went to before Vi basically gave up on my hair while it was in the brassy stage and couldn't get it any lighter. I've been blonde before but after dying it black and seeing how the first colorist couldn't get me past the brassy stage I didnt have too high of an expectation of how light my hair will get without falling off but wow vi got it to sooo light; blonder than I've ever been, like a silver/gray. I love it. I did go back for a second session last Friday, the day before a trip to Vegas, and I couldn't be happier with the final results. Ive gotten so many compliments on my hair already; from both women and men. Besides being an amazing colorist, she also so sweet and funny. She really takes her time to make sure you get the best result. My last appointment ended late in the night, but she didn't mind staying a little longer to curl my hair. I brought in pictures of the hair style and hair color I wanted and she did exactly what I had requested, not only that - she took the extra time to cut/style my hair (as I have a ton to deal with) and she didn't even rush or try to push me out of the chair which was a nice change from past experiences. What more, she is affordable - which was the icing on the cake. My husband like what she did so much that he has booked an appointment with her now and Jessica has two new regulars now! The salon is very trendy and in a great part of town. It was fun sitting in the window watching folks rush by while having my hair styled. The place was a bit tricky for me (being from out of town) to find, but reception was helpful in guiding me in. Just got my hair cut by Kim 2 weeks ago. It was my first time here but she made me feel totally comfortable and treated me like I was her usual customer. She's super bubbly and fun to talk to which made time fly by really fast. I asked her about her opinion on whether I should get bangs or not and she advised me not to. I'm glad she was honest with me and since she has many years of experience cutting hair I totally trusted her. After a couple days of styling my hair on my own I saw that there were some fixes I wanted Kim to make so I made an appointment for the following week. I was interested in having my eyebrows micro bladed and found the best in Bellevue :) Loc is incredibly gifted! When it comes to brows, she knows exactly what you need! I've had friends go to her, and after seeing their brows - I HAD to get mine done! I have always had a hard time taming and shaping my brows. I've plucked where I shouldn't have, practically tweezed my arch and tail off, and my brows just looked like a fuzzy semi-straight caterpillar on my face that didn't really frame me well at all. This was my first microblading experience! Loc was SO thorough in explaining the procedure, making me feel comfortable, and also addressing all my needs to make this whole appointment personalized to me. She's definitely got a gifted eye! She can analyze someone's face shape, then look and determine the perfect brow for the look you're going for. I really appreciated the time she put into the drawing/shaping portion of the appointment, confirming with me - she settles for nothing less than perfection. The whole process for me, was mild to moderate discomfort but worth EVERY second. Loc talks you through and uses numbing cream, strategically. I came here for a haircut after buying a livingsocial deal. I made an appt with Jessica for a haircut and I thought she was really nice. She was very welcoming and friendly and she listened to my requests. I have really long hair (almost to bra length) and I wanted to cut half an inch and thin it out a lot because my hair is so thick: I also casually mentioned that I like to curl my hair and when she was done cutting she spend 20 min curling my hair for me. My haircut is nice too because my hair is so long that there really isn't much u could do with it. It's a bit pricey $65 for a haircut but I liked Jessica a lot and the location is really convenient. I've been seeing Heidi Wipf for the last four or five years. I've followed her from salon to salon all these years because she is really the only person I trust with my hair. I have super fine hair wavy hair. It is really difficult to find a hair stylist who knows how to layer my hair to make it look fuller. Before Heidi, I had trouble finding a stylist who would consistently give me a good haircut. I get my hair cut three or four times a year and even though I'm not in to see her very often, Heidi always knows exactly the way I like my hair cut and styled and she always remembers what I was up to last time I was in. She also gives great tips for styling my hair at home. Seeing Heidi is like visiting a good friend. We chat about life (but huge plus that I don't have with any of my friends?
