This is a recounting of my experience taking my child to their flushing office in suite E30 at the skyview wellness floor. Aug 22 2020 Office is rather sterile. The hygienist was an angel. My son was very comfortable. They took x-rays. Immediately, the dentist was recommending extraction without going over the x-rays. She just loosely referenced the x-rays with a wave. The dentist was all business. In fact, she kept punching her fist into her palm, and bouncing around like a fighter ready to go. It was very off putting. She kept saying 2 minutes, two minutes, like....she was trying to get us out and the next one in . I was uncomfortable. But I agreed to an extraction. When they left, I studied the x-rays. Yes, some evidence. Deleterious? I would not say terribly. Looking back, antibiotics could be sufficient, at least to start. But this person was ready to go.... Ok, so let's try... You know what changed my mind? When my son was drowning in water because the sister of the dentist couldn't properly place the suction tube. When the sounds of waterboarding erupt from my son's mouth, and water splashes upward. Yeah...gonna call it quits right there. I literally shouted, please stop! And they tried to muscle through with the drowning of my son. And u know what the dentist says? "Why don't you breathe through your nose honey?". To a four year old. The place is a factory assemby line, a prison with peppa pig on the tv. I called it an auto body shop, but I regret that. I like auto technicians. Don't go. They will extract, collect the $, and send u on your way. read more

My child has been in this dental clinic for many years. Today's service is the worst. The doctor is very busy and too lazy to answer your question. after a nurse clean my Child's teeth, We said thanks to her, she looks A glance, ignore you. read more

This is for the Brooklyn office: Pros: The doctors and staff are nice and they do a good job with cleaning. The facility is clean and bright. Cons: We arrived at 2:25 for an appointment at 2:30 but weren't seen until 3:10. On top of that, the actual cleaning didn't take place until 3:30. The waiting room had too many people in it, making social distancing very difficult. There were also people waiting outside because of their overbooking. It's highly irresponsible to overbook at a time like this. I would've been okay with waiting another few weeks if it meant actually being seen on time. I was very uncomfortable being around so many people, even though we all had masks on. They really need to do a better job scheduling appointments before I bring my kid back. read more

This review is for the sky view location in flushing. They almost always overbook their appointments. You can see that the dentist and dental assistants are so busy and seeing patients one after another, they must be so tired, and how can they do a good job at looking after your kids teeth. It's bad for us too, as you arrive on time if not earlier for your appointment and have to wait for 1 hour and 15 min at least. Everyone has a busy schedule, you don't have so many 1 hr 15 min to waste on waiting to see a doc all the time. My daughter has been seeing an orthodontics for half a year now in Long Island, that doc schedule the right amount of patient and never over booking. Its irresponsible for both the doctors and the patients. Avoid if you can, use someone else. read more

Brought my 3 year old daughter for her first dentist visit this past Sunday and the whole process was very smooth. Office was clean and had an area for the kids to play while they wait for their turn. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Dr Jack was very patient and detailed in explaining everything. My daughter is usually very impatient but Dr Jack was able to convince her to follow all the directions. He also had a good sense of humor and able to interact with kids really well. Overall it was a great first dental experience for my daughter! read more

The place is clean and has kids toys but the doctors aren't good. They do a bad job and overcharge for services. I had to take my son back a few times to redo filling because 2 came out the next day. Now I have to find a better dentist to redo his crown that was done by them. Everything comes out and gets loose if it's done by them. read more

I took my 6 year old and a 2 year old there. the dentist was so impatient, she told me that she cant do my son's filling because she was too busy and had to make another appointment. then i told her that we lived very far so she finally said she will do one of his teeth and will do the other one next time. which i think it was okay so i made the second appointment. when we got there for the second appointment to do filling, again! she said she cant do the filling because she was busy and got another appointment after. then i told her it is ridiculous! she said base on your son behavior on his last filling, i cant take the time to do his filling today! HONESTLY! HE'S A 6 YEAR OLD CHILD! IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PATIENT THEN DONT BE A PEDIATRIC DENTIST! IT IS NORMAL FOR A CHILD TO PANIC AND SCARED OF A METAL INSTRUMENT DRILLING INTO THEIR TEETH.. AND I DIDNT THINK MY SON WAS THAT BAD ANYWAY.. ALL HE DID WAS CRY AND KEPT HIS MOUTH WIDE OPEN, HE DIDNT EVEN KICK OR PUSH! read more

Very long line more than 3 hour waiting period. Really bad service. Doctor was not patient at all. He checked my kids and only told me that he has cavities. Then he went to another kid right the way and did not allow us to ask any questions. We were waiting and without knowing what should we do. Then we had to ask front desk, they said we have to make appointment to come back to fix the cavities. But, they told me they only filling the teeth at 10 am to 2 pm from Monday to Friday (school time). weekend and afternoon only for regular checkup and clean. What a unprofessional place. read more

Horrible experience! I have my 4 years old son and 6 year old daughter here since our regular dentist is too busy and my daughter have pain on teeth. The dentist is very unprofessional and hurt my son's lips during clean. And he was crying during the cleaning (it never happen before at his regular dentist ). My daughter need to do a filling on two of her teeth and The dentist do not wait and start her job after the anesthetic. My daughter keep crying since she feel extreme pain (She told me it is very pain after the filling). The dentist just wanted to have her job done and she is not even stop and ask my daughter how she feel. I can say the place is clean and fun for kids, but we will not come back again! The doctor was amazing! All the staff were very kind and I didn't have to wait. They were quite clean so that I didn't have to worry about my family getting COVID, and all the bad reviews are just from rude parents who don't know what they are talking about, just trust the doctor like you are supposed to people! I made a appointment and they ask me bring my daughter to visit next day. She told me it is no co-pay. However, After X-ray, they told me that most of treatment have to be pay by myself，because there are some secret prescription medicine is not covered by insurance. Moreover, when i change the doctor, she refuse to provide the X ray results to other doctor. It is my worst experience of seeing a doctors. read more

If there is a "0 Star" to give I would. I understand rating is very important to all businesses and I do not like to give poor rating. Under this circumstances, I had to give low rating to this Kids Dental Care. Both my 9 years old and 5 years old going there for their dental care. The Male dentis which I do not know the name, had no patience and seems as if he only know how to say, "don't move" when me 5 years old girl crying during filling. Please be honest, who doesn't afraid of pain and especially needles being insert to the gum, especially a 5 years old. If you don't have patience do deal with children, then you are in a wrong profession. I do not immediately change dental care or give bad rating immediately because everyone deserves second chance. I requested to change a different dentist in the same location and receptionist did as I had requested. However, after 2 visits receptionist called my wife said,"we must use Nitrous Oxide on your daughter, if you don't want it, I can cancel your appointment immediately." This phrase implied that they don't want us to come anymore and give us no chance to respond whether we are willing to pay or why Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) is needed. My assumption is that the phrase used by the receptionist was to retaliated my request not to have the male dentist to see my two kids. I immediately changed my kids dental care to a higher rating dentist in Park Slope. I came to Kids Dental Care to request a copy of my children's X-ray, they gave me a print out on a used paper where the back is some other patients information. What if I am a bad person, I can use this information for negative purposes. In other words, we are the patients there, our personal information are not safe.In addition, before I chose to come to Kids Dental Care because of supporting Asian Community and saw they had a "4 stars" rating. However, on their counter had a sign to bribe patients to give them good rating to Yelp, Facebook, and Tweeter and in return they award patients $50 Amazon gift certificate. Businesses' rate must be earned, not through bribes or request individuals to give "5 Stars." In conclusion, I strongly not recommend children not to come here because Dentists lack of patience dealing with children, only know how to say "don't move" during examine children, their rating are not reflecting their actual business operations because they give patients $50 Amazon gift certificate in return for a " 5 Star" rating, and our personal information are not confidential because they printed it out and reuse the plain page for another print out to other patients. read more

This is another one of the places I wish I could give ZERO stars. I made an appointment more than a month in advance, knowing that my daughter has a cavity in one of her teeth. They made us wait more than 2 hours past the appointment time in a crowded, noisy waiting room. My daughter was finally called inside to take an x-ray, and was sent back out to the waiting room shortly afterwards. After another long wait, we were called into one of the rooms. The dentist told me that my daughter had a cavity, in which I responded "that's why I made the appointment to begin with". She told me that they simply didn't have time to accommodate my daughter and do the filling due to amount of people waiting (mostly walk-ins) I explained to her that it was very difficult for me to take off work to get to this appointment and that I specifically requested that my daughter gets a filling on the same day. She told me that they can only do teeth cleaning, and anything else would have to wait for the next available appointment. I've also heard numerous horror stories about this place when I started asking people from the neighborhood about their experiences with this place. read more

I often accompany my 9 year old niece to this dental office. Our appointment today was at 12pm but we did not see a dentist until 50 minutes later. So I am not sure if there's any use in securing an appointment with them. This is a typical Chinatown medical/dental office for Medicaid eligible folks in the community. So the office is always overbooked. Needless to say, they get the job done. If you are looking through Yelps for reviews, I am going to assume that you care beyond the "getting the job done" factor. I took my 2 kids for an appointment on a weekend, a male Dr attended us, he was rushing so much, everbody was rushing as crazy there, even the staff of assistants, The Dr quickly suggested extractions / I said no Please don't extract anything just do the cleaning / I will need a second opinion on that and he ended up charging the insurance Company for 4 sealants for each kid that he didn't do at. read more
