This guy is an absolute piece of work and a monster. Just walked out of his office in tears (yes me, the parent). He's condescending, degrading, and an absolute animal. I'm a pediatric medical professional and expressed my concern with the oral sedative because my patients have had adverse reactions to it. I said I'd like my daughter to get the local anesthetic without the sedation since she's fine with needles and he straight up told me to leave the office and come back when I'm ready to be a good parent. Dr Galli was my childhood dentist and I always had very positive experiences. Now that I am a mother, I wanted the same experience for my children. I took my nervous 3 year old to him for the first time and his kindness was just as I remembered. He took the time to calm my daughter and explain everything to her. At first I liked the doctor since he was friendly to my one year old but as I started going there more often I started seeing how the doctor was very nasty. He spoke to the children nicely but then was super rude to me. At one point I tried to take one of my other children out of the room since he was touching stuff he said "no leave there and go over there". I think he used to be great but he's been in the profession for too long and no longer has the patience for it. The staff is also very nasty and every time I go there (every 6 months) there is someone he is yelling at and kicking them out the office because they refused to do what he suggests. Dr. Galli is a rude man who scares children. He puts parents in the "quiet chair" and then reprimands them when they try to encourage a nervous child to talk to him. I was told "You were told to sit in the quiet chair and be quiet, so sit there and be quiet". I was charged exhorbitant fees because he is a "Pediatric Dentist". I was filling the paperwork in the waiting room (where they have a lots of toys) and when I finished I had to go upstairs to give the forms to the front desk. My 2yo of course started crying cuz he didn't want to stop playing. So the doctor came and asked him if he wanted a balloon or a dinosaur and my son said yes. So he took my son's hand and started to walk with him to a room and of course I took my other's son hand to follow them. The doctor looked at me and said: what are you doing? I said: I'm following you guys. So he stopped and looked at me and I said well I'm not gonna leave my son with at stranger. So he said while he takes his hands off my son very rudely "SO TAKE HIM!". This is the WORST place to take your child. They 'seem' very sweet and concerning towards the children by giving out balloons and speaking directly towards them instead of the parents which would be nice if they didn't mention untreated cavity's leading to death to my nine year old daughter. Most likely to mask the fact that the place is a complete DUMP. They have shelves falling off the walls, tape holding cracks.. I could deal with all this due to it being so hard to find a dentist with my insurance, but what I can't deal with is a SCAM. They told me my only option for my nine year old daughter that had a cavity on her baby tooth was to do a pediatric root canal. When we came in for the procedure Dr. Galli's wife who runs the place mentioned they don't work with porcelain caps that I would have to put a silver cap over the tooth. After explaining to her that I was not willing to put a silver cap that's when she went bi polar, literally! She yelled that I had to leave. That they had patients waiting. As confused as I was I told her that I would like to do the remaining minor cavity's in the mean time and I would go elsewhere for the root canal. She stated 'you don't trust my professional opinion, leave now!' I told her that I did trust her opinion however, I preferred my daughter had a white cap instead. It was more of a cosmetic preference for me. She screamed at me and told me that I didn't trust her and she doesn't want to deal business with me. After this woman has unprofessionally embarrassed not only me but herself, that's when she told me I was a terrible parent for not doing the procedure with them! Mind you, in front of not only MY children but also in front of the other parents and children watching in terror, in the waiting area. I left that day to Lutheran Dentist to have a doctor tell me that they could just extract the tooth seen that it was a baby tooth and that they were probably miss leading us for insurance money. I had to come on here and write .Dr John is 1 of the best childrens doctors I have ever been around.He talks straight to the child in a calm ,respectful and reassuring manner. I also never had a problem talking with him or having him answer my questions.the difference is I don't talk to him as he is talking to my child or trying to teach or explain to her or even ass hes doingtelling her shes doing a goo job keeping her teeth clean.That would be just rude but I guess a lot of parents on here have a problem with not being able to shut up as someone else is talking so they do need to be put in the quiet chair that's a nice way of saying don't talk as im talking and teaching your child.Let me say this I can go to a lot of other doctors Dr john is not covered under my insurance but I go to him because not only do I like him but my daughter loves him and feels safe with him and is always looking forward to seeing him at the next visit so the money doesn't matter as long as shes happy and getting a great doctor.I honestly wish he took adults and he could be my dentist as well.we will always trust and go to Dr John as long as he remains in the area !!!!! read more

I used to have my two kids with this Dr. , until the Spanish lady on the front desk left so this lady come instead of her, I don't know her name but she's around 50s she is very mean I used to go only on Monday ,One day I called them to cancel my appointment because my daughter had a test on school, and she could not miss that day I spoke to the Spanish lady, she just canceled my appointment and re-schedule, but when the day of the appointment comes, I was very sick I had bronchitis and I lost my voice so I told my husband to talk to them that I need to re-schedule my appointment, Because he was working and he wasn't able to bring my daughter to the dentist , i wasn't feeling well plus I have no voice. So my husband call them and this lady didn't even wait to my husband explain to her, she just started to scream & tell my husband that we are not good parents, and then she started to tell him that if we are not going to that appointment we have to pay their fees I think it was $60 or 50. My husband trying to explain to her but she didn't want to hear anything she just hung up the phone , and he called her three times after that and she still did not listen to him & she hung up the phone every single time my husband call her what kind of people is that, so thanks to that crazy woman this doctor lost two patients. Please come and judge for yourself. His method of care may be not be suited for overbearing parents. He encourages and prefers that the child speak for him/herself since they are the only ones that can truly desribe what he/she feels and because he wants the CHILD to understand the importance of caring for their teeth. He treats each child with the utmost care and respect. I speak from experience as I was his patient myself as a child (after a fall down a flight of stairs I had extensive damage and after a traumatic ER experience he was the only one who gained my trust enough to let him near me) and he has also become my children's dentist. I live out of state and travel back to NY just to make sure my children continue under his care. That alone should tell you what kind of dentist he is. When my daughter had her fist cavity his concern was that he did not want her to become afraid of coming to the dentist. He suggested the use of an oral solution but made it clear that it was only because this was her fist cavity. He explained to her in detail every step of what he was doing and gave her a mirror so she could "follow along". He also told her that if at anytime she wanted him to stop she should raise the mirror and he would stop immediately. She tested this out a couple of times and he stuck to his word so the rest of the procedure went off without a hitch. The point is that I sat back (in the quiet chair) and allowed him to deal directly with her. He gained her trust and she never needed the drink or "gas" again. My son is terrifed of doctors but when I tell him it's time to go to "Dr. John" I never get any pushback. read more

The absolute worst choice I made as a mother to bring my daughter here. She had cavities and of course, I was concerned and wanted it to be treated right away. They said she had cavities on both sides and that I would have to schedule two appointments for each of the sides. They scared me and made me make a haste decision. I did one side of her mouth and they sedated her with Midazolam. The medication also cost $80, which is not covered by insurance. I was terrified that day and put my four year old daughter through unnecessary stress. Thankfully everything went fine but seeing her strapped into the chair unable to speak or comprehend what was happening was a horrible experience! I sought a second opinion for the other side of her mouth and the dentist I chose took care of the cavities in less than 15 minutes with no medication whatsoever, and kept her calm by talking her through the process... not medicating her and making her forget what had happened completely. As a parent, I would suggest you think twice before sending your child to this dentist. read more

Dr. Galli has a nicely appointed office, and friendly staff. His first vist provides a false sense of security, because his hygienist gains the confidence of the child with warm friendly intelligent communication. However, when the child needed cavities filled, he sold us a preanesthetic, oral versed, for $80 instead of using nitrous oxide. This caused our 5 year old to kick and scream for 1/2 hour just to fill a couple of cavities. The child was tortured during the procedure, and Dr Galli could care less. He's an egocentric person who rules his office with an iron fist. Find a general dentist who is warm and caring the next time you need care for your child. I know I will. read more

This place is a SCAM!!!!!!!! Not to mention you cannot call their office phone to make an appointment without speaking to a live person. They make you leave a message requesting an appointment and they call you back days later. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! What is the point of a receptionist??????..........................Don't bring your children here unless they have perfect teeth and just need a simple cleaning. I brought my son here 3 years ago to fill a cavity and had to pay $80.00 cash for a sedation that they led me to believe was mandatory. My insurance covered local Anesthesia but Gall's office claimed they couldn't use it. The sedation was a drink that he had to have 30 mins prior to seeing the dentist. No more than 30 minutes after leaving the office my son was constantly vomiting and his body temperature was constantly changing. This went on for 2 days. When i called the office, they explained to me that there were so side effects at all from the sedation.....LIES!!!!! I later brought him in for a follow up, which went well. All they did was a cleaning and we were done. NOW....... I brought him in for a check up and The office confirmed that my son had two small cavities on his baby teeth. I agreed for them to fill them. They then tried to hit me with a $80.00 fee that I will have to pay cash for so they can sedate my son and fill his cavity. I DENIED THE SEDATION DUE TO THE PRIOR EXPERIENCE. They claim they don't like to torture children that was what the $80.00 fee was about. My son's insurance covers local anesthesia and when I denied the sedation that was $80.00 and requested local anesthesia they explained to me that THEIR OFFICE DOESN'T DO LOCAL ANESTHESIA AND IF I DECLINE THE SEDATION THEY CANNOT TREAT HIM. When I called my insurance they said SCAM, they just want to do what they can to have you pay extra for sedation that they know the insurance does NOT cover. Extra fees!! We walked out and are never coming back here AGAIN and the staff is RUDE!! read more

Please I urge you not to take your children to him he is a terrorist of children. He sedates them but gives no local anesthesia so although they feel the pain they can't talk while he has you sit in the quite chair and belittles you with his words to make you feel like your an idiot he tortures your child infront of you. Dr. Galli is the worst Doctor I have ever encountered! He refused to allow me in the room with my daughter because I was holding my baby. So I was watching from the window and I see him knock my daughter on the head and tell her if she doesn't shut up he will pull her tooth out. I stormed in the room and confronted him and he "allowed" me to talk to her while he had her strapped down legs and arms. My daughter calmed down after I assured her that her tooth will not be pulled out. He proceeded to work on her teeth with aggression. I am planning on filing for a lawsuit along with whoever else is planning to do or would like to join me. I will be contacting a lawyer today. read more

We love Dr Galli's office. Staff is wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Kids love to come to dentist. You can tell he loves his job.

I had to see Dr. Galli as my one year old hit his face and chipped his tooth. Fearing nerve/root damage, we made an appointment with Dr. Galli who came HIGHLY recommended (his decades of experience didn't hurt). He and his staff were gentle and caring with my son the entire time (his 1st dentist visit ever). Between teaching us how to entertain him so that brushing his teeth is enjoyable, not a chore, a relaxed and calm environment for x-rays, an entire break down of everything he was doing (with explanations as to why) I couldn't be happier. In the end, he was able to save my son's tooth and ensure that he didn't hurt himself with a chipped tooth or get an infection. We were further educated on proper care thereafter as well. While I must admit, my son was crying, I can't imagine any child happily or willingly laying there and having a tooth repaired, with no real understanding as to what was going on. Dr. Galli and his staff however, were EXTREMELY kind, patient, and understanding of this, and I can't imagine walking away from the scary 1ST DENTAL VISIT WITH BABY experience more content. My daughter had two cavities need to be filled, Dr. John injects both tooth surrounding area so the teeth will be numb. After 5 minutes he started to fills the tooth. My daughter starts to moved and cried throughout the whole filling. I don't know what is wrong, I thought she feels uncomfortable and scared by the time Dr. John finished. She showed me her lip with a needle mark. OMG, I felt so bad for my daughter. She must feel the pain throughout the whole filling process. The next day she showed me again, the needle mark became water bubbles a lot of bubbles. My heart is breaking. I told her not to worry, it will be ok. I don't think I will go back to Dr. John again. I was very excited to book an appointment for my son with Dr. Galli because of the office location being close to my house, however, when I got to the office after taking my son early out of school, I was dissapointed when told by office staff that they did not take my insurance. The office manager, Jessica, clearly told me when I made the appointment that they accepted my insurance. When I questioned her, she got on the defensive and was very condescending, rather than sincerely offering an apology. This type of customer service reflects badly on Dr. Galli's business. This office is absolutely amazing. They are such compassionate people. My son was having major issues and lots of pain. They took me in as an emergency and treated us so well. They made something so scary for us less scary. They take their time and do it right. After my son's procedure they even called to check up on him. The office manager is an absolute unprofessional, grotesque, poor excuse for a human being. She treats the children horribly, not nurturing in any way, she can be absolutely traumatizing. I've seen how she forces parents to take sedation's even though they are completely against it, and when the children come out hysterical she just gives them dirty looks as if she were saying "please shut your kid up!" She has asked parents to leave with their crying children as to not disturb the other people but really shes the one who doesn't want to be disturbed. She is rude with parents, I myself have even had a taste of it, when I asked how long my child and I would have to wait for our appointment. She treats her fellow coworkers like scum! I've been coming to this office for years and never have I seen such a horrid person working for this office . The other staff members are kind to both children and parents alike, are understanding and extremely sweet. BEWARE OF THE OFFICE MANAGER NAMED "JESSICA!"
