    Adorable grocery store set up!

So far, this is the best kids museum we've been to! I have smaller kids and they LOVED every second of this visit. There's tons of great exhibits and places to play and pretend. Staff is super friendly and I LOVE the wash your hands before you enter policy!! Price for experience was great. I wish I had more photos without kids in them to share, but we had too much fun playing and I did not capture enough moments. We will be back!

We made a trip to Bainbridge Island to visit this museum m. Overall it's not worth it to ride the ferry just to visit this museum, but if you're in the area, definitely check it out. Past the entrance is an awesome treehouse kids can climb, where a slide is located. Around the tree house are several rooms that model different components of a city: a grocery store, a bank, a vet, and so on. Kids will enjoy sitting in the electric car and "driving." Upstairs is fun as well, with a space station, a light station, and a puppet show area. Tucked by the lantern room is a picture of Harriet Davis who was a key member of the advisory counsel (in memoriam).

We came in, washed our hands after we paid and went straight to the tree house. It was a little warm in there but very clean. My toddler(2 year old) was able to play with everything they had to offer without issue with being smaller. She loved the vet area the best. Also, there was an upstairs with a little play house that she constantly went in and out of. We paid $8 per adult (military discount) and paid $8 for our toddler. All in all she loved every minute there and it was worth it for the easy 2 hours we played. Which could have been longer but it was lunch time.

This is a smaller kids museum, but there is still lots to do and usually the perfect amount of other families visiting. For the four of us to visit 2 hours, it cost around $30. They have a Lego room, tree house, lots of stem toys, space area, play house, pretend vet + bank + grocery, light up wall, train set, kid sized cars, books, art supplies, outdoor climbing and building. There's spots for adults to sit and bathrooms. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by!

This place is crazy!! $8.00 pp. For everyone!! It's super small and packed with kids and adults. The kids play with the other kids and the adults are sitting at various toys trying to get off their feet and relax while the kids are being kids. Only problem is the adults are relaxing ON the other toys, so the kids can't play. I guess on a rainy cold day this place would be ok. But come on.... why do adults have to pay when there is absolutely nothing for us to do but watch our kids.

I visited the Kids Discovery Museum (KiDiMu) in the town on Winslow on Bainbridge Island on a recent Saturday afternoon. As a resident of the mainland, I was unaware of the KiDiMu until I saw a Living Social deal for it. $12 got four people into the museum with the deal. I believe that regular price would have been twice that amount. Adults and children over the age of 12 months pay $6 admission; seniors over 65 and military pay $5. I visited with my two boys, ages 6 and 8, as well as my sister and her 16-month-old baby girl. The museum is a short walk from the ferry terminal. It is located in a modern complex, near an art museum and local coffee shop. The KiDiMu itself is very attractive inside. I have visited three other children's museums, including the ones in Seattle and Everett. Based on this limited experience, my impression of the KiDiMu was that it was quite small and designed for children younger than mine. Nonetheless, my kids had a very fun time, as did my 1-year-old niece. It wasn't too busy in the museum on the day we visited. We happened to be there on the one Saturday each month that a local veterinarian comes into the museum to teach kids about animal care. My 6-year-old enjoyed playing veterinarian with a mask and surgical cap, and giving "pretend" shots to and bandaging a large stuffed dog. I did happen to buy another Living Social deal for the KiDiMu, so I plan to go back in the next couple of months.

Besides the fact that it's in the cutest little downtown area and conveniently close to the Seattle Ferry, it is cheap and all the kids love it.

Better signage is definitely needed to guide families to the stroller-accessible entrance! Parking is also a nightmare and pretty pricey, so I'd highly recommend staying all day and exploring the rest of the area to make the cost worth it. The museum itself is fantastic! It features several highly detailed, themed rooms, and each creative area has plenty to keep a little one busy. Having been to several children's museums, the standout here is definitely the theater, stage, and backstage rooms--it even includes audience seating!

It's on the bottom floor of the Armory building -- make sure you take the main elevator in the center of the food court, not the side elevators, or you'll end up wandering around confused. Once you're inside, though, it's fantastic. There are tons of activities and play areas, and plenty of seating scattered throughout so parents can actually sit down while the kids explore. My 18-month-old had an absolute blast, and even two hours wasn't enough time to cover everything at her pace before nap time. The changing rooms and stations are clean and well-maintained, and there are designated snacking areas too. My biggest complaint -- and the reason I don't get a membership -- is the parking situation. It's a mess. There are lots of different parking lots around Seattle Center, but they're expensive, and most involve a long walk if you're hauling strollers and kids. If they ever fix that, this place would be perfect. It does get busy, especially on rainy days but it's so big and spacious that it didn't feel too crowded on a Tuesday morning.
