We came here on a Saturday night and it was nearly empty. It's $40 per ticket, which is absolutely not worth it. Fun to swing by after dinner, but too short for it to be a single event. Pros: -helpful staff around to help take photos or answer questions -parking garage close by -plenty of tickets available -kid friendly with step stools to stand on Cons: -very expensive -mostly illusions using mirrors, so it's the same type of exhibit every time (looks like there's five of you in a room, looks like four of you sitting down, looks like a lot of you down a hallway) -doesn't last long read more

Was in Downtown Seattle and didn't necessarily have enough time to see some other sights, so I found Museum of Illusions highly rated on Yelp and decided to book for four people plus infant. Luckily they had tickets available for purchase online on a Valentine's Day Saturday! Initially I thought we can go through b/c we had bought tickets already, but there was a crazy line to enter, even for people who already bought tickets. The lines didn't stop there though, there were also lines to see the exhibits and take photos. I think typically I would have been fine waiting, but with a little one and stroller, it was tough navigating crowds and having to wait and experience an exhibit for a minute. I will say that I did appreciate that there were some Valentine's Day themed exhibits/merch, as well as some cool photo ops that gave off different illusions, but it was all up pretty quickly... Overall, I'm not sure it was worth the $35-40/pp charge, but probably my fault for wanting to visit on a Valentine's Day night with a toddler... read more

When visiting this museum you will have to find street parking or pay to park in a parking structure. You can buy your tickets online for particular time intervals or purchase your tickets at the business. The museum doesn't accept cash so you must bring a card. There is also a gift shop on site. We enjoyed ourselves in seeing all the illusion activities and taking cool pictures. When we arrived the clerk at the front desk advised us that there would be employees inside the museum that would help us with the stations. We initially engaged with one woman that was kind of helpful initially but she kept disappearing & at times said she didn't know how to take certain pictures. Later we encountered Xavier. He was great! He was extremely helpful & very personable. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. read more

I had low expectations coming into this place. We were staying in a hotel just a couple blocks away and looking for something to do in the morning before having lunch at Pike Place Market. This popped up on Google Maps so we decided to check it out. From the name, I thought it was going to be some cheesy place run by caries (think Branson, Pigeon Forge, or Wisconsin Dells). Boy was I wrong. There are so many cool interactive exhibits here. We spent probably 3.hours going through everything (and going back to see things 2 or 3 times). Some of the highlights were the wall that turns you into Spiderman and the spinning tunnel. read more

We walked in on a Saturday and bought our tickets at the front counter. The museum was more extensive than I thought it would be, and there were several fun photo opportunities. There were staff members roaming around who could take photos of your group. This was a nice indoor family friendly activity and it took us about 45mins to get through everything. If you have young kids, I'd plan for an hour. It's only a couple blocks from Pike Place so we headed there after. read more

A fun, unique experience -- just wish it lasted a bit longer. The Museum of Illusions is packed with cool exhibits and interactive visuals that really play with how your brain interprets patterns. There are tons of photo opportunities, and it's genuinely interesting to walk through and experience everything at least once. I just wish the visit were a little longer, but overall it's a really enjoyable and fascinating spot. Definitely worth checking out. read more

What a basic concept, that is great at attracting people and earning $ off of people's curiosity, or addiction to have another social media post. Overall it's cool and creative. You will get some fun and interesting pics. Kids and adults will love this. It's small and quick so take your time. Would I do this again? No once is more than enough. Would I recommend? I wouldn't not recommend but I wouldn't say this is a must do. It is educational if you take the time to read and understand the science that is happening right in front of your eyes. read more

At the time, pricing for a Sunday was: -$34, 15.35% tax total for $39.22 A variety of fun activities and photo ops. You can probably spend about 1-1.5 hours here. We were headed to the Market and saw this on our way. Decided to go shopping first then go to the museum afterwards. If you're a Teacher you get in free, how cool is that? We had a great time looking at all the illusions and the interactions with the displays was amazing. The staff is there to guide you through but this is all at your own pace. So take your time get some great photos and enjoy yourself. Go as group as it's tons of fun with a group. I highly recommend the museum for all ages as even the youngest will have fun. read more

Awesome illusions museum in Seattle!! I haven't been to an illusion museum before and my friend and I stopped by when we were visiting. This was a small museum and we went at opening on a Sunday. I read reviews it takes a couple hours but we were in and out in 45 minutes! I think going at opening is the best since there was hardly any people. The workers at the museum give you instructions how to take the photos and even assist you, so you and your friends get in the photo. There were many things to experience and look it! Everything was fun and trippy. The last room where you walk through a spinning tunnel makes you really dizzy, so be careful! However, very fun! The best part is they give teachers free admission! Bring your ID or you can fill out a form but need your teacher license number. I'd highly recommend this museum to anyone, all ages! read more

Great experience visiting Seattle with the Family. The young in the front on Friday, April 3,2026, was extremely helpful and friendly. The museum itself when we arrived was not as busy which made for a nice walk through. All in all I found it interactive and went through it in about an 1 hr with our little one. At the end the front lady recommend a place for lunch, Din Tai Fung, (walkable from here) which if she ever reads this all her suggestions were spot on delicious! read more

My wife and I visited this super cool museum and loved it! The museum tells you everything you ever thought to ask about illusions and has you become a part of the illusion in various displays and rooms. We happily spent several hours here learning about different types of illusions and how they work and having fun in special illusion filled rooms like the spinning room that left me a little dizzy or hanging off the side of a building or looking alot larger than my wife because of perspective. This experience was so fun! Interactive, lots of photo ops, and mind-bending illusions. Pricing is expensive though. For a family of 4 to go was $150... That seems like a lot for a museum experience and that does not include parking. There is street parking but it is limited. We had park around the block in a very cramped parking garage. For price and ease of parking I did have to subtract a star. It is a fun one time experience for your family but for the price, I would not return. read more

My husband and I were looking for something fun to do with our 14 year old daughter, who can be, well, hard to entertain sometimes. We found this place on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. First off, it is expensive, really expensive. It was 121.00 for 2 adults and a teen who counts as an adult, The experience lasts as long as you want it to. We took our time and really studies the interactive displays and did all of the fun immersive activities and we were there for about an hour and 20 minutes. So, the value isn't that great but it was a fun and silly experience for us. I would say they need to limit the amount of people who go in at one time, because even though there were time slots, there were enough people that it did feel crowded at times and we werent able to spend as much time as we would have liked at each exhibit without feeling a little rushed by people waiting. And as usual, there are people with ZERO common sense, manners, or situational awareness who just barge in or let their little kids take over something you as an adult also have a right to experience seeing how you also paid a high price for a ticket. So, that was a bummer but we worked through it and still had a great day. There was one musuem employee walking around who offered to take photos and show you the best way to see the illusion. It left us in awe of how our brains and vision work. All told, we would do it again and thought it was a fun experience. Just wish their prices were a little more affordable. Also, parking is a B. It costs 18.00 to park in the nearby parking garage for 1-3 hours, so you have to factor that into the cost. GOOOOOD luck finding any street parking in the area. read more

My brother was visiting from out of town and we decided to check out the museum. So glad we did! Totally worth the ticket price and lots of fun even for adult visitors without kids lol. Staff was super friendly and helpful with photos from beginning to end--thanks to Emily, Kat, Lianna, and Chili for the great customer service and making sure we got the most out of all the exhibits. Everything was incredibly clean and very well staffed, which was helpful for taking photos and explaining some of the brain teasers! Apparently they're cheap and just don't work, and I didn't find it necessary to have any kind of guided explanation of the exhibits.
