Im not sure why this place has only 2 stars. We had my daughters bday party there today and it was a blast. We had 12 kids and 23 adults and it all went so well. They had the table setup with decor before we even arrived and took care of the food drinks cake and clean up. The place is super clean and has something for all ages. The one year olds played in the small gym with the ball pit and the 2 3 and 4 years olds ran around the whole place! A classic no frills toddler birthday party venue. read more

Today, June 22, I brought two of my grandchildren for their first time to the Paramus location to celebrate the end of their school year. We arrived at 10:05 am as doors are supposed to open at 10:00. Upon arrival, I saw a line of dozens of adults and children waiting, each thrilled and eager to enter. The inside lights were not on and there was no sign of anyone inside. After waiting for 20 minutes, I called the number listed on the website. No one answered and a recording said there was no room in their voicemail box. After 30 minutes I left with two very disappointed grandchildren. Before we left I witnessed at least 40 people come, wait and leave. Many were talking to each other about similar places to go to since it was obvious no one was opening. A complete "Sh*t show"! You will have the most awful experience. As soon as you walk in Boom...crowd of people trying to check in. Two people behind the counter that look miserable being there. Once you spend 1/2 hour on that line , you then bump into people (shoulder to shoulder) hoping you don't lose your child. Can you say fire hazard! I was invited to a birthday party, or else I would of walk right out. What a complete disaster!! The tables are on top of each other. A staff member throws the pizza boxes on the table with nobody to serve the kids. The mom of the birthday kid had to cut the cake. I felt so bad she paid money for this. The lack of staff is obvious. They must quit the day they get hired. I am never coming back here , nor would I go to a party here. Trust me , your experience will be like every review on here. read more

The place could be good, but the staff seems like they don't really care about the kids. After I suggested to the manager and staff to place an employee in the main trampoline...because is very important to prevent accidents like the one happened to my daughter 10 years old, due to negligence and poor care. A boy felt on top of my daughter, and broke her nose, my daughter was bleeding badly, and the only thing that was done, was the incident report. They were very neglected and careless about child protection and prevention. No first Aid Kit, none of the staff is trained to provide first aid. Its very important that the local authorities pay attention over this matter. As I mentioned to the "manager"...soon or later a kid will loss the life or be seriously hurt due to poor prevention policy. I'm really very disappointed, and angry for the horrible accident, that can be prevented. NEGLECT!!!NEGLECT and CARELESS. Very poor supervision and NONE takes responsibility...the just ignore how serious this could be. Total disaster. We went for a birthday party and it was overcrowded chaos: TLDR: Chaotic, disorganized, overcrowded, unenjoyable, and they may be violating the fire code. If you're thinking of having your kid's birthday party here, I beg you to reconsider. - Check-in at the entrance was chaos and a mob scene. We even pre registered and had already filled out the waivers, arrived on time, yet it still took 25 minutes just to check in. For others it took longer. There were about 60 people crammed in to a tight space at check-in, with additional people waiting in line out the door, plus with people already inside coming and going in between. - - - There was only two employees at the front desk to check people in, both of whom looked overwhelmed and miserable. - Take a look at the photo I've included. I'm sending this to the Paramus Fire Dept too, as they may be violating building and fire codes. - If their entrance/check-in isn't bad enough, just wait until you get in; that's another overcrowded mess. The tables are all crammed together between 2-3 other birthday parties, with people bumping into one another. Completely unenjoyable. - Bigger kids (~9-12) are mixed in with little kids (~4-8) in the play area, and since there are just too many in total, the experience is difficult at best and completely off-putting at worst for little kids. - Not enough cubbies to store your things, and the tables/seats are so crammed that there's little space there too. read more

Terrible experience. Absolute chaos. The sign in was a mob experience with what seemed like hundred of parents crammed in the registration area all on top of each other. Half of them unaware of the waiver requirement. Staff literally screaming at all of us to take your shoes off before getting to the register, felt like we were being admitted to prison. They booked 8 PARTIES AT THE SAME TIME. No private rooms for privacy, no where to put your stuff. Everyone just on top of each other, it felt so chaotic. No one on the floor to supervise any safety. Happy birthdays being sung at different parties at the same time.. Kids had fun I guess which saved them from getting a 1 star. Won't be going back though, no thanks. read more

Im on the fence about what number stars to give this review because I've had positive experiences there but I also witnessed certain things that left horrible taste in my mouth. The good: We hosted a birthday party there and the birthday girl and guest enjoyed the party very much. We had a 10:30 bday party bc they don't offer private rooms for parties and I figured the earlier the party the less crowded it'd be. As it turned out it was the best decision because when the party ended the place was getting super crowded. The place was clean, had things to do for all kids, and the package I picked let me bring food. Overall, the birthday girl and the guest had a fantastic time. The bad: It's pricey and the customer service was not the greatest. They forgot to give out goodie bags and we were left garbage bags making me feel as if we were expected to clean up plates and cups. IMO I was paying for a service where that would be included. The party host was not very present in our party and I had to ask for the food, and dance party because we were running out of time. The ugly: When I went to pay my balance the week before the party the person in charge of parties chastised me about not picking up my phone. I said that I don't answer unknown numbers that she should've left a message and she said she had the first time and didn't feel the need to leave another. She hadn't but it seemed pointless to argue with her so I just went with " I don't understand your hostility since I'm here and I'm not even late paying for my party and not to mention I was a paying customer." She did change her attitude and took my payment. The worse thing was what I saw happened with another guest at a different party. They make you pay for each additional guest ($50 and I had 6 extra kids) as they come instead once at the end of the party so I had to stop engaging in the party 6 different times which is annoying. As I was paying for additional guest I understood why. A lady came in with a child invited to a party, her husband and other child also came and were expecting to just buy an open play ticket for the other child since they were not a part of the party. The employee insisted that she had to call the party parent so they could pay for the other child. The lady insisted that she did not want to do that, that she'd be happy to pay for the open gym pass for $22 since her husband and son wouldn't be a part of the party, he would just be playing, but she wasn't going to pay $50 for a party he wasn't invited to or have the party mom pay for it. The employee advised her that if she did that her son and husband couldn't even approach the party area for any reason not even to get her attention or they would be charged the party rate. The lady paid and walked away and I heard the employee tell the other employees to watch the husband and son like a hawk. I then understood why I had paid for so many extra guests. How did they expect for a parent to not interact with their other child while at the party even if they did not participate in party perks or food. That whole ordeal left a terrible taste in my mouth and even though everyone had a good time which is super important to me when I just an event I can't imagine I'd ever host another part Overall, the place is nice, clean, and very fun for kids. The customer service is terrible and they look for ways to make a buck in deceptive ways. read more

Cons: -weekends are overcrowded and chaotic. -not enough workers to keep up with the cleaning. Tables were dirty for hours (so come with wipes to clean your tables) -no food allowed -check in is a disaster. Prepare to wait in line for a long time. Pros: -unlimited stay. For $20 you can stay from open to close. We came at 12:30 left at 2:30 for lunch and came back for few more hours with no problem. -although no food is allowed, sneaking it in would be easy( which I guess with my point above about not enough workers makes sense) -would I come back again? Sure but not on a weekend and I would definitely not do a party here. My son really had fun here. read more

Story Time: I took my daughter to Kids Empire. They have this contraption where the childrens would either go to the 3rd story or 5th story. I had to try it. I was feeling a little bold and brave & so I went to the top. Up there I met a rather heavy-set plump kid named Jose and we had about a 5 minute back and forth argument about who was going to go down first. Jose's parents are waving at him from the bottom telling him its time to go, to hurry, go down. As I told him he should listen to his mom & go down first, he demanded no, I go, because he's not leaving until he goes down and he's not going down until I go down. I was tired of this kid trying to tell me what to do. So finally I said listen Jose one of us must go first & it is not going to be me. So I took it upon myself to take action. I gave Jose a little push, ya know, for motivation. As I watched him take flight 5 stories I then came to full realization this "kids" contraption is lowkey a human death trap with colorful straps! Jose pokes his head from the bottom, looked at me & said are you coming!? At this very moment I had 2 options: I could either back out, which would really disappoint my 8 year old little friend or I could plunge 5 stories. So I took a deep breath & took my leap of courage straight down 5 stories of straps wrapped in colorful duct tape. My 24 year old self knew this was a big mistake as my hair got caught in the tape & as I can feel tiny scapes form on my elbows & knee on the way down. My body then forcefully finally hit the bottom of the mat. As I layed there staring straight up at the next child waiting for the drop of doom, gasping for my air to retrieve back into my lungs, trying to regain my conscious, questioning God on who's wild idea was it to build this horrifying tower. I finally stood up with bleeding elbows & knees and with a headache from the strands of hair that was just ripped out of my head, my inner child looked at Jose & his parents (who were clapping for me) and I said "Jose! I think I'll have to try that again" then the adult in me said "but not definitely not today!". Long story short: my kid is not allowed on what I believe is the real tower of terror read more

As a small business owner myself, it takes a lot for me to write a bad review. Both my kids and I have been dying to try this place. Prime location and looked super fun. I showed up at 9:55 am today for their 10 am opening. I triple checked the website, the phone answering service, yelp and google hours etc. they all claim to be open at 10 am "365 days". Needless to say, there was about 50 kids and adults waiting in line until after 10:35 Am. No light on. No sign of any worker. We called. No one answers their phone. You can't even leave a voicemail for management because the mailbox is full. Normally I would say, "poor business owner" because they probably have an employee who didn't show up to open. But based on the size of this place, it would require several employees to be there to be open and operate. While standing in line with several kids having meltdowns of disappointment, many families said "we've heard this has happened to our friends and we decided to give it a shot." Another family in line was waiting for their child's BIRTHDAY PARTY that was supposed to start at 10:30 am. Their guests started arriving with presents. So sad for this family. Brought my 3 and 1 year old kids here for an afternoon to play and it was a nightmare. When we walked in there was a child about 6 years old crying at the front door and after 10 minutes of seeing this girl cry and no one attending to her, I explained to the employee checking people in what was going on. They announce on the loudspeaker there is a child without a parent crying by the door. No one claims her, so the employee is then walking around looking for her parent. Meanwhile, no one is in the front helping people pay and check in this is going on for 20 minutes. When they finally find her parent she returns to tell everyone they are short staffed and don't have enough employees working to account for the number of people coming in. After finally making it inside, the place was a madhouse. Overpacked, the layout is strange with tables and tables of people sitting in the middle of the place and parties going on publicly, nothing private. We will never be back! read more

Horrible experience with their staff and management. Said they would refund me and wrote an email about it I have heard nothing nor have I received my refund for 5 children. We are told when we arrive that there is no food so therefor we can bring food in from outside. We ordered pizzas for the children from the business next door and continued to "have fun" and when we sat the children down to eat two female employees who appeared with their attitude to be in charge. They asked for my receipts which I handed over to be led to the front desk to their register area to put in for a refund however these employed individuals have no respect or have any experience dealing with customers. I will never recommend this horrible place again as they pushed us out. A mother who has recently lost her husband and was in tears at the place so we tried to take her mind and the children's minds off of it by taking them there to enjoy a day with the children. They were easily eager to charge me for them but when I wanted a refund since I just spent on 5 children and food they pretended to write to upper management and showed me out. I cant imagine that the owners or corporate would treat 5 children and a heartbroken mother this way. Disgusting and incredibly frustrating to know that employees that under trained and have no customer service experience can behave like this with paying customers that were adhering to their rules from the beginning. I hope other parents don't have to deal with this however after reading other reviews I can see that the Paramus location is less than par with how a business should function specially when it's intended to let children and parents have "fun". If I could give negative stars I would. Absolutely unacceptable. The fairfield nj location however was a pleasant experience and kudos to their staff and employees on great customer service. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience I had on Saturday February 4, 2023 I booked a party for my daughter and 25 of her friends, and from check in this was absolute chaos! This was the least of my concerns! Our party host introduced herself and got us organized, she informed me at 6:30 food should arrive. At 6:30, food did not arrive, and they assumed it was just running late, at almost 7 we were finally told there was a mix up and the pizzeria had just begun making the 17 pie order!! This could have been avoided had someone confirmed all orders for the day before the parties began. Nonetheless we were given a new time of 7:30, at about 7:45 I went to check in with my party host ( Whom I now lost to the chaos and her trying to deal with all the angry parents). She was not available and I asked another young lady working who said" We don't even know if there is food coming '' At this point I was very upset and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and I was told " No one is here, the manager and supervisors left". This is where I lost all of my patience and understanding, how is it possible that with 4 parties who have not received food for our parties, the supervisor LEFT!!! At this point I decided to just cut my daughter's birthday cake. I brought the cake out, I lit the candles, I found plates and served everything. My party host Jaritza was busy running the entire facility, one employee just left and they were all over the chaos and were hiding. At 8:00pm the pizza arrived and the owner of the pizzeria came to speak to the party parents. I commend him for owning his piece in this, however there was no one from Kids Empire who showed face for their piece in all of this! I had guests LEAVE because they needed to feed their kids, and I even had kids crying because they were hungry! I was absolutely MORTIFIED with my guests! This was so unprofessional! And I can't believe we spent close to $1000 for this! We were promised unlimited drinks , and party bags which we did not get, but our poor party host could not keep up as she was left to fend for herself!!! We have two children and have thrown many birthday parties and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had throwing a birthday party. I also had a guest who lost her cellphone at the end of the night, and a team member told her a friend of one of the workers was there "Hanging out" close to closing time and took the phone!!! WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP in the place?? Why are random adults allowed to come in and hang out when there could be children still playing in the facility? Someone needs to intervene before this gets worse! Lack of management, professionalism and organization are killing this place. There is so much potential, my daughter loves playing here and the only reason we scheduled her party here. read more
