Great place! Lots of fun for kids of all ages. Too cold, though! Sometimes they walk away and don't let you in immediately.

Coming…read moreright as they open in the morning is the ideal time to come as it is still relatively quiet during those hours. The cafe is large and clean with a variety of different formats for the children to play in. Having a dress up area, some segmented areas for blocks and trains, and individual "store fronts" was great. Our kids had a wonderful time. The only reason I took a star away was inconsistent application of rules as many children were not wearing grip socks while it was included as a requirement. We were asked to purchase these from the cafe when we checked in... which if it is an established rule is fine, but a little annoying that the rule isn't universally applied. The play cafe is also a bit more expensive at ~$17 per child ages 1-10 with no discount for multiple children (as of Feb 2026) compared to other play cafes we have been to. It also did start getting quite crowded around 10:00 AM and there didn't seem to be an end in sight. Still, it is a nice cafe and I'd recommend it to others looking for a place to take your kids, especially if you can avoid the peak periods.

Busy Bees Play Café in Carmel is the perfect spot to grab a coffee while the kids play. There have been plenty of changes every time we visit and I have loved the design each time. The play area is clean and thoughtfully designed. You can tell everything was created with parents and child safety in mind! The staff are friendly and do a good job of making their rounds to tidy up! There's a great variety to keep little ones entertained. I love that I can actually relax with a coffee (which was delicious, by the way!) while still keeping an eye on my kids. Another nice touch is that there are plenty of helpful things in the bathrooms (extra clothes, diapers, wipes, etc) for parents who may have forgotten something. This happened to me the first time we visited and I was so grateful! If you're looking for an easy, fun outing with your kids (especially on cold or rainy days), Busy Bees is a must-visit. The kids will need grip socks while playing, but you can bring in your own. They are also a nut-free facility which is a plus for parents like me who has a child with a nut allergy. My little kids can be here for hours while I work, so will definitely be back again and again!

If you're a parent, you understand that at this point in Winter, everyone in the house is probably going stir crazy and you need a change of scenery! It is located in a strip mall in Carmel. There is plenty of parking in front of the building. We do live on the Southside so it was a 35-40 minute drive to get here. And when you have a toddler, that could make it or break it before you even get there! But we made it thankfully. It was $16.00 per child for 2 hours and the adults were free. I do think that is a high price and was one of the reasons why I gave them 4 stars. The other reason was the drive. For us Southsiders, it is a far drive especially when you have a screaming toddler in the backseat who does not want to be strapped down any longer. They do have a lot for kids! When you walk in, there is a baby/toddler area with smaller toys. Then there is a little drawing area and off to the sides there are plenty of little rooms for different children's needs. Whether they just need a time out, there's a room for that, whether they just want to play music, there's a room for that, whether they just need a dark, quiet room due to sensory overload, yep you guessed it, there's a room for that too. We spent most of our time in the back area with the swings and large trampoline. I would definitely recommend trying this place out! We had a great time and wish we had something like this for kids on the Southside.

First the website can be a bit weird and if you are getting day passes and it keeps saying its 'timing out' you need to make a Plainfield recs account first and it stops being weird. On my visit i purchased tickets/admission on the website because i could not tell if i could get in on location or not. Once we got thru the check in process we went to see the indoor pools first.... Well they were closed. OK... Went outside and its pretty expansive and clean. One of the non-tube slides was down as well as looks like 1/3rd of the exterior swimming items were down for what looked like cleaning since i saw staff working on it. From the maps view basically the huge lazy river side. As a non-resident the pricing i feel was a good value for goofing off in the water for roughly 3 hours. Onsite food isn't anything to rave about but at least it is available and it was not crazy prices. Tons of life guards doing an awesome job from what i could tell while watching the people watching the rest of us so i felt super safe and confortable they were keeping an eye on all the kids. I didnt grab any photos because i dont really like publishing anything with people in it. You will be pleastly surprised with what is in the water park area let alone the other things you can do here. I am sure i will be back again and again.
