My son had a friend's birthday party tomorrow so we wanted to get his first professional haircut done. We had family help before, but we wanted to have it done at a kid friendly place so he could experience it. Pictures and reviews of Kids Fun Cuts looked awesome and I knew this would be the perfect place for him. They had a little play area for kids who are waiting which was very nice. They have various car seats for the kids and if you need it they have regular chairs. We saw one dad with his kid in a chair since it helped get the haircut done, which is very good to know since we have a 1 year old and we'll probably need that option. They have TVs for each station and my son was able to watch cars as he got his haircut. The stylist, Jenna, was very friendly and you could tell everyone here enjoys working with kids. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience and how perfect my son's hair cut came out. We even got to take home a balloon and lollipop. I have been bringing my son here for a few months now because I felt that he needed a kid friendly barber and so far I am completely satisfied with the service we have been provided. My son has not been easy but Yuriko continues to show compassion, professionalism and overall patience. He has slowly improved at his visits due to her sweet and calm demeanor. I know it is not easy to work with kids so I am grateful for establishments such as kids fun cuts. The salon is kept clean, it's extremely kid friendly and the kids get rewarded with treats and balloons , I find it very thoughtful. Long wait times, which is weird because you have to make an appointment. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes past your appointment time. Staff is inconsistent in terms of friendliness. Sometimes you get someone who seems annoyed to help you. When you're paying they hold the screen in front of you with the tip options: 35%, 40%, or 45%. You have to awkwardly click "custom" while they're holding the screen and punch in your own amount. We like the fun setup with the cars, tv, and play area. However, after three visits we're going to take our business elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this place if you want to get your daughter or son with long hair a haircut. The stylist (I won't name her) sprayed my daughter's hair wet and cut it. My daughter has thick hair with a slight wave to it. We couldn't tell until her hair dried but it was so choppy and uneven. I ended up having to cut her hair myself to even it out. For $30 and tip, this was not worth it and a major disappointment. It looks like they are better with boys haircuts. They were really packed today and a lot of little ones were getting their haircuts as well. Nary was so patient and gentle with our little one. I went for my daughter's first haircut today and my experience wasn't great. I called in to inform them that I will be running 5 mins late and they gave me a hard time about it (Mind you they have a 10min grace period) When I arrived to check in the hairstylist wasn't so welcoming and she was rude and said "oh good just in time i was about to charge you". I brushed it off and chose to ignore it. She then asked how I wanted my daughter haircut to look I explained and she started cutting my toddlers hair. She didn't bother splitting her hair in the middle which can make it uneven. She was honestly rude she didn't bother conversating with me or my daughter. Mind you I told her my daughter's birthday is tomorrow and her response was just wishy washy and anytime I asked her questions she'd respond with an condescending tone and attitude and responds back trying to make you feel dumb even if you have simple questions. I just didn't like her vibe. It just seems she shouldn't work with kids if shes going to be rude and bored. You can't even try starting a conversation with her because she's just so short. I'm sorry, but she didn't deserve a tip I wanted my daughter's first experience to be special and comfortable, but instead she just made it seem rushed. Each time I asked her a question. I had an appointment for my nephew at 10 am, nobody was there. I waited till 10:05 and decided to go to the store right beside there for a few minutes to give them some time because i noticed they were running behind due to the fact the lights were completely off and door was closed. We called while in the store just to make sure they were still open. They let us know to come back, that somebody was there. Once we got back the lady let us know that since we were late they needed to push back our appointment because she had another customer. We got there three minutes after she told us somebody was there. Not sure how the appointment got pushed back due to them not being on time.
