Parents considered it a diamond in the rough, a hidden gem, and therefore it attracted students from up to 30 minutes away! It was recently sold and renamed to Sunny Hills Montessori Academy, but heart of the school has remained the same. There is a chicken coop and a garden on campus (where children are encouraged to explore caring for animal life and growing their own food), weekly Spanish learning, dress up days, summer camp, and more! The children enjoy vegetarian meals with an emphasis on healthy, whole fruits and vegetables. They are still outdoors most of the day, but the indoor classrooms are just as robust with a wide array of hands on activities. The teachers are not just standing around babysitting, but actively engaging each student in opportunities to learn and grow and sharpen their developing minds. From potty training, to handwashing, and encouraging self-reliance, this school is 100% dedicated to the whole human. With a diverse staff & student base, supportive parents, and a loving director keeping it all running smoothly, truly, it is worth checking out.

When I came to Big Sky Preschool it was owned and operated by different people and in the time I was there is was sold to the now owners. Prior to the sale Big Sky was a dream, as soon as the transition to new owners began things immediately started to change despite being promised they wouldn't. To start this school has slapped the name Montessori on their name but are not actually accredited. Second they lied to parents and withheld to let parents know about construction that was occurring on property while class was in session. Be sure to research the school as they have a a type B citation because of the way they chose to handle the upgrades to the space. Furthermore this school chose to terminate the care of my child because I was vocalizing my concerns and questions and the owners refused to ever meet with parents. Lastly, they terminated her care on a Monday upon arrival, I had no back up for work it was very traumatizing for us all. The owners sent an email at 1am to the "Director" Lucita, whom also is known to yell at students and be the least gentle if you ask me, whine then just printed the email out to me and handed it to me with my stuff. The email claim I made baseless claims about the school. Obviously not so baseless since they were cited for putting the kids at risk with the construction that took place there. If you are looking for a play based school that actually cares and isn't cold and clinical like this school Che k out You're Invited. They are amazing and took me in during this traumatic experience.

It's amazing to see her wake up in the morning eager to go, talking about the fun activities, the things she's learning, and the friends she's made. What makes Hope Kids Academy so special is that it feels like more than just a preschool--it feels like a caring community. The home-based setting creates a safe, comfortable atmosphere where the children are genuinely seen and supported. The program balances meaningful learning with creativity and play, helping kids build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning that I know will stay with them. One thing that truly sets Hope Kids Academy apart is Mrs. Alvarado. She is not only incredibly loving and nurturing with the children, but she is also deeply supportive of the parents. Shortly after enrolling my daughter, I found out I was pregnant with twins, and Mrs. Alvarado was so understanding and encouraging during that time. She always made space to listen whenever I needed to talk and consistently showed genuine care for our family. She doesn't just build relationships with the kids--she creates real connections with the parents too, forming a sense of community that makes families feel welcomed, supported, and valued. Mrs. Alvarado supports the children's social development fantastically! My daughter has formed wonderful friendships there, and she's also learning important life skills such as respecting others, understanding boundaries, and communicating kindly. Those lessons are just as meaningful as the academic ones. That was my biggest priority when I was first looking for a program. Watching my daughter grow through her preschool experience has been truly amazing. She has learned so much in such a natural and joyful way that she often surprises me with the things she knows. Sometimes she'll start singing little songs and rhymes she learned at school, and hearing them unlocks a sense of nostalgia for me--reminding me of the same kinds of school songs I had long forgotten. Recently at church, they asked her to sign her name on her drawing, and to our surprise she confidently wrote the first two letters of her name. Moments like that show me that the learning happening in her classroom is deep and genuine. It's not just memorization--it's understanding, confidence, and curiosity beginning to grow in such a beautiful way. I'm incredibly grateful to have found a place that not only teaches but truly cares. Hope Kids Academy , Mrs. Alvarado, has had such a positive impact on my daughter, and I couldn't recommend it more highly to any parent looking for a loving, supportive, and enriching faith based preschool experience. **Mrs. Alvarado does use an app program to directly send you pictures and updates of your child throughout the school session. It's huge relief for the anxious parent, like myself, and a splendid inside look of the day's activities**

Talking with the other Moms, She truly pays attention to each student's needs and helps them grow both behaviorally and developmentally. Our son is still very young, but he was very socially ready to interact and learn with other kids. We weren't looking for a full-time daycare, so the part-time option was absolutely perfect for our family. And let me just say he loves going to "school" here! He looks forward to seeing Mrs. A and his friends all the time. Mrs. A's background, experience, and heart for children shines through in everything she does. She is passionate, nurturing, and treats every student like family. We couldn't be happier, and we highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and faith-filled environment for their little one.

From my very first conversation with the director about their teaching philosophy to meeting the warm and caring teachers, I knew this was the right place for my kids. My daughter attended Kids Time for a little over a year during 2022-2023, and my son attended for about a year and a half during 2025-2026. What meant the most to me was being able to completely trust the people caring for my children. I could see the positive impact Kids Time had on both of them, and they always spoke so happily about their time there. They both absolutely love Ms. Leo and Ms. Tanya. My daughter still remembers them and misses them, and I know my son will miss them very much as well. I am incredibly grateful to all of the teachers and staff at Kids Time for the care, patience, and love they gave my children. They truly made such a positive impression on our family. I constantly recommend Kids Time to friends and coworkers who are looking for a preschool or daycare, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving, nurturing, and wonderful place for their children.

This is not a babysitting center, it's a true Montessori school where the teachers' pay attention to every detail and generally care about each child's growth. I've watched my daughter thrive, socially, emotionally, and academically and I'm so grateful for the incredible staff who've guided her along the way. A special shout out to Ms. Raquel who has been such a godsend to my daughter, and her warm smile every morning, love and consistency means the world to us. A major kudos to the new director Jennifer for handling the transition so smoothly and bringing fresh energy. I'm excited to see how she continues to build on the strong foundation the school already has. Highly recommend any parent looking for school that truly partners with families in their child's development. One recommendation, while we recognize the value and care this school provides, the annual rate increases and added fees (for supplies, emergency kits, and registration) can feel a little steep for a preschool setting. Hopefully this is something the ownership can review and consider.

So, I want to start out this review by saying that I am a stay-at-home mom who was very, very…read morereluctant to have her child in preschool. However, I will soon be re-entering the work-force, and I needed to find a preschool where I felt comfortable with the staff and students. To that end, I visited many different providers in the area, some sponsored by the county, some private. Melody Lane was on my list because the location was very convenient, and I received a referral from my friend who had her twins there before they started kindergarten. My first impression of the campus was that it was very organized and set up like a real "school." Some of my visits other locations were just sad (small campus, if any! nasty equipment, etc.). Melody Lane was sparkly and bright and I liked how secure it felt. Even the knob on the gate was really high so a child couldn't reach it! At first though it was weird - there was no child in site! But that is because the children aren't allowed to run unattended throughout the school. The children are always in the care of a teacher. Anyway, I met with the director and really liked her personality. I had my baby with me (okay, 16 months of age isn't exactly a baby LOL) and the director explained that my daughter would be in the baby room until two years of age. The baby room staff was really friendly and they seemed to take extra care with every charge! I was then taken to the toddler room and the other rooms. They have a full-time cook who gave my daughter a little snack while there. It was really cute. I just had the impression they weren't there to make money - they were there because they genuinely care about the work they do. But this place has been around since 1994 so I am not surprised they know their business! Anyway, long story short, I decided on Melody Lane and I have been really happy! My daughter spent six months in the baby room, then was moved up to the 2-year old room. The teacher, Miss Sol, is the kindest, most gentlest person I have ever met. One day when I arrived early to pick up my daughter, all of the kids were napping away except, of course, my daughter who had woken up early. Miss Sol was sitting on the floor rocking her and talking to her. My daughter was looking up at her with such an adoring expression! For me, it meant the world. I'm not the type of mom who gets threatened/jealous when my baby likes someone else LOL. But to know that my daughter is receiving such gentle care... The other neat thing is that sometimes they will text me a video of my daughter in class, while she is singing or dancing or learning something. It is so cute to see how she interacts with her little friends. Now that she is a little over two, she asks to go to school in the morning! And I'm blown away that at only 26 months of age, she can already COUNT TO TEN!! And she knows about 90% of the alphabet song! That is because of Miss Sol and the education they are providing at Melody Lane. Anyway, I cannot recommend them enough!

There has been a…read moreconstant turnover of teachers, which creates no consistency or stability for the children. It's very concerning to see staff constantly changing, especially in an environment where children need structure, familiarity, and proper care. I also feel the new management does not know how to properly handle the children or maintain the same quality of care that this daycare once had. Licensing/state has reportedly been called to the daycare multiple times since the new owner took over, which raises even more concerns as a parent. Overall, this daycare is not the same place it used to be, and I am extremely disappointed with the direction it has gone. At this point, I am seriously considering removing my children over the summer and enrolling them elsewhere because I no longer feel confident in the childcare being provided.
