It is an elementary playground so it's on the smaller side but there is definitely quality here. There are two slides-one is pretty fast and steep which my little daredevil loves (riding on my lap of course). The other is a twisty slide. We enjoy all of the musical components as well as the spin apparatus (see attached photo). There is lots of room to run around (or waddle like my boy). Pre-COVID 19, it was usually very crowded on weekends. Our last visit was a few days before playgrounds closed and we were the only people there. We definitely plan to return once restrictions are lifted.

My kids loved watching trains go by, and it is fully fenced in, so you can relax and kids can get any kind of locomotive show. They also made a bike/running trail along side the park. There is plenty of seating and places for families to relax or do a picnic lunch. The playground itself is also amazing! There is a toddler and big kid side. Every type of play equipment you can imagine. I was especially impressed by the maze on the toddler side. I am also not a parent of a child with disabilities, but I recognized some equipment for disabilities. This park really has it all.

We came here today during Fathers Day, and it seemed like all of the fathers were seated in the park benches while the kids were playing in the fountain. There is also a large playset section wmthat has several slides, plastic ladders, and hoops for kids to play in. Down on the far end, I even noticed an old school swing set with actual chains holding the swings up. There are porta potties, and the entire park is also connected to a large walk and bike path. I believe this path connects to both Patomac Yards and Crystal City. We stayed for a good two hours, and everyone had a lot of fun, even the old folks.

This was one of the Jr Ranger stations on the map, so while we were closer to the city, we choose to come here as they open fairly early compared to the others. We were the only people there other than the rangers. It is quiet the walk from the parking lot, but scenic with farm animals on the way to the station. The inside area was amazing, with facts, books, coloring station, a map of local stations and examples of badges from there (super cool), interactive cow milking station (with water), a play farm stand, etc. We got to learn about the site, and had an opportunity to learn about the five different animals they keep, see the feed for each of them and helped feed the chickens. Make sure you get there promptly at 10 or else you might miss the opportunity. There are not many animals here but the fact that it's so close makes it perfect for a fun little outing. Other than the chickens there are cows, pigs, horses and goats. The visitor center has some coloring pages and books for kids. There are picnic tables by the parking lot, and clean bathrooms by the visitor center.
