I had a maternity shoot that I really wanted to wear a haku lei for. I searched nearly everywhere in Kihei, Kahului, and Lahaina but no one was able to make one last minute. The day before my shoot, I called Flowers by Cora and explained to them how I was in search of one and really needed it made for my shoot the next day. To my luck, they were able to make it happen. So, I went to the shop to make it easier to explain what I wanted, and the young girl who assisted me was super nice and patient with me since I was very particular about how I wanted the haku lei! Flowers by Cora is my favorite florist of all times! I buy my leis here all the time. I bought a beautiful ginger lei for Tutu's 95th birthday and she loved it. I buy all my graduation and special leis here. Order early to get the lei you want like jade, maile, ginger pikake, and others. Lastly, my son gave me the most beautiful arrangement of Hawaiian flowers I have every seen. The arrangement lasted forever too. You will love the fresh local flowers of Hawaii. Very disappointed in this shop!, My boyfriend always selects great arraignments BUT this place used old, damaged & cheap flowers for my Valentines arraignment & charged him highly for something that looked like it was from a grocery store! Delivered on my back porch not front & blown over by the wind (should have been placed in a box like other professional florists!) The photo says it all. Kihei-Wailea Flowers have the most beautiful flowers on Maui. I ordered these for a family friend in Hawaii for Mother's Day last minute and it showed up right on time. My mom just flew into Maui from the mainland and plans changed, for me that I was unable to see her on her birthday. Kihei-Wailea Flowers by Cora went above and beyond to ensure same day delivery was possible. I loved all the arrangements but selected 'deal of the day,' leaving the creativity to them. Again, they went above and beyond, my mom has sent me photos daily of her enjoyment with how beautiful arrangement turned out. Further the Haku lei that they had available was fresh and well made, I believe my mom felt honored to wear it! I would highly recommend this florist to locals and mainland call in orders alike. One of my wishes when I traveled recently to Maui was to have pics done with a beautiful Haku Lei. I stopped by on a Monday to place my order and emailed over a pic that I wanted it to look similar to and was given a pickup time for Wednesday morning. When I picked it up from the shop, I was amazed at how beautiful and perfect it was. She fitted it to my head and then I was off to get my pics done. I came in here the day before my wedding asking for a bouquet 100 dollars or less. I explained the colors I was wanting and gave her some ideas from a few pictures in her look book and she put together the most beautiful bouquet I could ask for at just $100 too and on such short notice! It matched my nails perfectly which in the pictures my nails look a little different shade from real life but it was perfect! This place is awesome! read more

When I brought my parents ashes back to Maui to be scattered in the bay off Kihei, I contacted Cora at Flowers by Cora. I knew of her from living there for over 25 years, and my parents (who also lived there for over 15 years) knew her from their church in Kihei. We had always gotten leis and flowers from her when we lived there and were never disappointed. I knew Cora would have nice leis for the ceremony for my parents, and she didn't disappoint, even though it was still early in the season for a lot of local flowers. When I arrived at the shop, she also had an entire bag of beautiful and colorful flower petals for me to scatter with the ashes. Beyond that, she wouldn't let me pay for any of it. I was blown away. Not only were the leis perfect in color and style, she donated them from the true aloha spirit in her heart. The ceremony went well, and her beautiful flowers adorned the water and the beach. Wanting to support local businesses during our family reunion and wedding, we spoke to Cora in February 2020 about doing the flowers for our wedding. Then, we had to postpone the wedding until May 2021 due to COVID. We revisited Cora in April and told her what we wanted for our small/family wedding at Hale Kai O'Kihei. We chose to pick up the flowers the day of the wedding, and my daughter and I were blown away by how incredibly beautiful my bouquet and the four table arrangements were!! Seriously! Everything was so fresh, smelled amazing, and was so beautiful, I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. My family each took the four arrangements for their individual condos the remainder of the week, and then my husband and I were able to enjoy them for the remainder of our honeymoon - another week. And they still looked incredible. If you're looking for great service, someone to truly listen to what you want, incredible arrangements, fresh flowers, and creativity, then call Cora today!! Beware! My co-worker was left in near tears when this florist left her an email on the day of her uncle's memorial service, informing her that they could not fulfill the order. She had placed the order the week before, and her credit card was charged at that time. When she called to inquire as to the reason, they could not do the flowers, they did not give her a reason. Bottom line, if you really need or want flowers, find another florist. Just wanted everyone to be aware. read more

Absolutely DO NOT recommend them as florists!! First of my my order was not ready to be delivered when they said it would so I said I would drive to Kihei to pick them up, two hours later my flowers still were not done! I was asked to wait around for 15 minutes while they make it I told them forget it deliver it I needed to get back to town and I was told they will deliver it tomorrow! wtf that's the day after the birthday! There is no point in the flowers then!! mind you the man in front of me came to pick up Leis and flowers that they could not find his order was confused as to what he orders so we even went to his car to get the receipt, he was told it was not done and had to wait. He was told his pick up was 1:45 that's why they were not ready... It was 2:45!!! They need a clock and more organized system! Clearly this place cannot handle the volume of orders they are taking in!!!! I do not recommend them If you have an important event or need something delivered on time go to Kahului florist they have never let me down! When told they were ruining this special day they yelled back on the phone insisting they were correct! Horrible customer service!!!! DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!! read more

We arrived in Maui and then had one full day on the island to prepare for our wedding. This is when I decide that I do, in fact, want a bouquet. I saw Darrell A's comment and, with mounting anxiety, showed the address to my fiance. We walked in and I almost started crying because I absolutely had NO CLUE what I wanted. Both Cora and her assistant took this in stride. They offered suggestions, said that they could pull together a bouquet for me and I gave them as much info as I could about what I thought I would like. Which was barely any info at all. Cora totally nailed it. My flowers were beautiful and they were exactly what I would have asked for if I had known how to say it. I'm not recommending waiting until the last minute to work with Cora but I am saying that she knows exactly what she is doing and delighted this flustered bride. read more

WARNING!!! Whatever you do- do NOT order from this place online OR give your email address to them in anyway... They will spam you for all eternity and there is no stopping it. Sometimes quality isn't everything. There's a lot to be said for customer service that is often overlooked. This review is more about the overall experience with this company. Not just the flowers. The leis were pretty, but I caution you- go in and order them in person. If you have to order online or over the phone and giving an email is a must? Go elsewhere- the harassment that will follow isn't with it. I order flowers for my mom every year on my birthday. Last year, she happened to be in Maui over my birthday so I found this place online and had them deliver flowers to where she was staying. The customer service was ok. I'll give it a borderline B-/C+. They weren't overly friendly but they weren't unprofessional. They were just ok. The leis were beautiful and they lasted a long time. They definitely get an A for quality. But 6 months, 15 "Unsubscribe" requests from there constant marketing email blasts and 3 emails directly to the company pleading to be taken OFF their list - all went unanswered - and I'm STILL getting their emails. Solid F, F- if it were possible for consumer respect Until they can fix their email spam campaign OR you don't mind getting blasted with marketing emails, don't trust them with your business. read more

I brought my Mother to Maui for her 80th Birthday and brought her sister (My Aunty) as well…read more It was both their first time to any island in Hawaii and I was able to spoil them with great accommodations, dinners, a Luau, shopping and even matching pineapple tattoos. Less than a week prior to coming to Maui I thought to have 4 flower arrangements delivered to the condo. I used Yelp to find a few florists to get a quote and Maui Blooms was my second to call and after speaking with Sandy I was sold. Sandy was more than helpful and her and her designer came up with two gorgeous large arrangements and two gorgeous small to medium arrangements. Maui Blooms was also able to deliver into our condo before we arrived so it was so nice to walk into condo with such beautiful local flowers. A couple days before we arrived Maui Blooms also accommodated us with two beautiful leis and one Kukui Nut lei as well. My preferred florist on Maui was closed so I searched the web and Yelp for alternatives. When I…read morelooked at the offerings from Fernhouse I was immediately struck by the artistry of design which wasn't cookie-cutter like so many others. Ordering the flower arrangement, scheduling the delivery, and paying for it via Fernhouse's website was easy, and I received the requested text message the next day when the order was fulfilled. When my friend sent me a pic of the flowers and thanked me for the gift, I became infuriated! The flower arrangement that was delivered BARELY resembled the photo of the arrangement I ordered. I am well aware that some flowers and fillers are seasonal and, at times, might not be available. But, I would expect a florist to remove the item from the website and/or contact the buyer when the greater majority of the flowers needed are unavailable. Among the differences: The sales pic shows 2 Birds of Paradise; my order contained 1. The sales pic shows beautiful red/orange roses and similarly warm-colored filler flowers (that are orchid-like); my order contained yellow pompoms and zinnia. The vibe is completely different. The flowers that were used are, in my opinion, of a lower caliber than what I was sold. Additionally, the arrangement that was delivered was by no means as full/rich as the specimen in the sales pic. Bottom line: what I paid for is very different from what was delivered, and (to me) this borders on "bait & switch." Additionally, had the arrangement that was delivered been shown on their website, I would NOT have considered paying $95 for it; mind you...that's $95 before tax, tip and delivery.

I didn't even think about checking Yelp for website reviews, and I REALLY wish I had. Because this is a horrible business. With horrible customer service. My Husband travels a lot to Hawaii for business so I ordered a bouquet of flowers and Roses to be delivered during our 19th Wedding anniversary (this was over a month ago) while he was in Hawaii. I was also sure to pay the extra charge to ensure their timely arrival, and included an appropriately cheesy card to complete the package. They didn't delivery the bouquet till 3:30pm Hawaii time when i specifically asked to be delivered at 11:00 am where he was at his meeting. So i had to find out he was going to be around till 8:00 that night at his hotel AND the flowers weren't even what i ordered! I almost spent $200 and to have them delivered at 8 pm? not okay. When I asked about the arrangement, they needed more info (understandable) and they were not sorry at all. Saying its my fault i am not more specific with what i wanted (keep in mind i was very specific its our 19th anniversary) I have to say that I'm still incredibly disappointed even if the flowers did look relatively nice...but they're flowers so that can't really count for much. There will be no next time for me. Essentially there is no quality control, especially considering what they charge. Please come to your senses and spread the word that this company is bad news. read more

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! i ordered a same day delivery the second they opened (8:30 am) for balloons and leis for my boyfriend to wear all day and cost over $55. more than half way through the day i find out it still had not been delivered. When i called to figure out why leis havent been delivered both the sales associate and owner were telling me this is my fault i didnt give a certain time, they cant do anything about it, no refund, nothing! Telling me they know their business more than me being so disrespectful towards a customer! I kindly explained my BF left for his bday for the remainder of the day and leaves to the mainland tomorrow.. they didnt care at all saying its not their problems. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were porvided flowers for our wedding arranged by Maui Aloha weddings. Due to a technical glitch I didnt get a link to Cora's flowers before my wedding so PEGGY my wedding planner chose my bouquet. She did a great job, the bouquet was very tropical and had a Maui feel. Using lots of local flowers, (even though i love lillys), I really did get the BEST. Im glad i went with Peggy and im very glad Cora did my flowers. All of my friends who saw my bouquet said how beautiful and everything was very sturdy. It made it back 5,000 miles though several airports and was still intact. May 24 is my birthday and my husband wanted to order some local flower arrangements for the condo: a smaller one for the bedroom and a larger one for the living area. I called the concierge before arrival to inquire about a florist they could recommend, she immediately told me about A Special Touch. She said that the owner does exquisite flower arrangements with local flowers. They were delivered five minutes after we arrived at our condo and I was so impressed by how beautiful they were, I had to acknowledge and recommend this special Lahaina florist. I was directed to their website so that I could cruise the different kind of arrangements and price ranges. There were a lot of different selections and they all looked gorgeous. When I called to place the order, I asked the owner which would best fit our space and our tastes. Upon her suggestion, we ordered the "Hawaiin Stlyle Tropical Centerpiece" and the "Jewel Tone Tropical Centerpiece" The prices were quite reasonable and we spent $222.00 for both including delivery. I asked what it was and it was this heavenly Jasmine fragrance. I tried the spray and then the oil and she sent us on our way and told us to come back only if I couldn't stop thinking about it. Walking around town I felt like a cartoon character where the scent is glowing as they pass by. It was amazing. Long story short, I went back and bought the oil. I love it so much and have been wearing it everyday since we left. I can't wait to go back and visit to take one of their workshops and learn more about the culture and traditions of lei making.
