    Beef ribs
    Art J.

Well this is an authentic hole in the wall restaurant my neighborhood friend treated me out. I like the fact that they had beef ribs which is hard to find and they cooked it right it wasn't dry because most people say beef ribs is dry this one wasn't dry. I need to come back with the Tacos Carnitas and the lamb ribs too which I never knew existed. Service was ok it's whole in the wall. In regards to what I ordered the lamb was moist and delicious and as I said it wasn't dry the beans was good and compliments the tortillas they gave I think it was corn tortillas and soft shell was hot in the beginning temperature wise but good I never thought I'd be piping hot when they serve it. As for the ambiance what do you expect from hole in the wall I mean there's no fancy loin cloths you pay at the end almost like the informal cafeteria style but when you're on a budget and you got nothing else to eat this is better than nothing. I wouldn't come back when I'm in the mood for hole in the wall food. It's also next to Park packing company that sells fresh meat versus going to your overrated grocery stores for me. It's very cold when you go inside like a freezer so be careful with park packaging next door which I should make a separate Yelp review.

You won't find a well well designed interior, nor cloth napkins with incredible table side service. What you will find is fantastic food, in what feels like an factory cafeteria. The restaurant is part of, Park (meat) Packing, next door. The menu is mainly pork, with several other options available. The specialty is the carnitas, and when you bite into your taco you will understand that perfected their craft. It's one of those things where you kind of nod to yourself and say, 'Yeah....' The ribs are a steal about $6 for a small slab. The prices here are hard to beat, you can easily feed a family for $20. Monday and Tuesday certain tacos are on sale for $0.99 Get in here, loosen your pants a little , stuff your kisser, and delight your your tastebuds without having to lighten your wallet. Dig in, and enjoy #ghostlygourmet

We have been coming here for a few years and they never fail. The carnitas are delicious! You can ask for them by the pound or as a taco dinner. They have so much more to choose from, their menu has a little bit of everything for everyone even the picky peeps. I highly recommend, you won't leave disappointed

Such an amazing Chicago staple with something for everyone!…read more The food is the star and has been fantastic for generations. You can't go wrong with anything. They are known for their steak sandwich (always my pick). Their fried mushrooms are a great Chicago classic. The pizza by the slice is also delicious. Plenty of choices for vegetarians. Vegans might have a bigger challenge finding items... but the Italian ice is worth the visit! The vibe is casual, but grab a table and stay awhile. Perfect spot to eat and watch a Sox's game! Plenty of space for bigger groups as well. Everything is counter service, but food comes out quick and hot! If you are a local who remembers how Portillos used to be... come to Ricobene's. It's untouched by private equity and perfect!

I feel like I still need to give a couple more tries but this is a OG staple and I just can't find…read morethe hype. I'm really going to get crucified for this review if you ask any Chicagoan. I've tried the pizza slices, beef sandwich, and the steak sandwich. Not impressed with any honestly. It's edible and you're in the city with free parking under the bridge. That's all I got lol. Steak is messier than hell but I'm not a fan of the taste. It's breaded. Pizza was very gas station like. And the Italian beef meat was so chewy and full of chunks and dry. It was gross. Lacked flavor also. I couldn't believe I was in the city eating a beef and I was actually wishing it was any other brand for some flavor and moist, tender, and fresh meat. The place is packed everyday so there's a lot of tables coming and going. They really should have workers constantly cleaning and clearing tables and garbages because they were all dirty or full.
