It's a Togo establishment and I get family owned vibes from it when you walk in. I had the arugula sandwich but with sausage instead of bacon. It was more than enough food and it was good. I also ordered a tuna sandwich but the tuna was very bland will definitely need to dress it up with condiments. read more

Everything that I've had here has been delectable. The portion size for the price is a little small for me as a big eater, but I appreciate the quality of the food. And a lot of it actually is a decent portion. The staff is always very nice and I really enjoyed my one and only time eating there. Their energy was really good in person also. Sometimes get kind of busy at lunch time during the day and they're pretty quick on the phone but they always get things right and again, they're always friendly when I show up at the place. What a great little hole in the wall, hidden in a residential neighborhood. We stopped here for lunch on a weekday, and enjoyed the fast counter service. Our sandwiches were delicious and full of flavor - and we were pleasantly surprised that they came with a side of fries included. Best hidden gem in Bridgeport. My go to Sammy's are the Cajun chicken, Billy boy, and the Buffalo Billy boy. Also, don't forget to always order a side of mozzerella sticks! Count your fingers and your food. I bought their "rib special". Full slab with fries. Only received half a slab. I noticed when I got home to make sure I wasn't mistaken on what I ordered. I called Manager and was put on hold for five minutes. I called back and was able to get a response that their half slab is considered a full slab because that's how they do it. A real full slab of their ribs makes them the most overpriced in Chicago. She didn't care that it was misleading and I should know what she meant not what she said. Too bad. This was my fifth and last visit. Oh well at least I won't have to get past the pigeons and squirrels read more

Kathy's is a solid choice for a good, affordable, hearty lunch. I got the Italian sub and that thing was PACKED. You could honestly feel like you've had a full meal by just eating half of it. Portions are huge. We got our order to-go, so I can't say much about the in-store service or seating, but our order was ready when they said it would be and everything tasted great. If you pick up, there's plenty of street parking to quickly park and go. There's no parking lot of its own. read more

This is deff a hidden gem! Casually ran into it and I will deff be coming back! I live their daily specials that are well worth it because they come with fries and it's a pretty big sub! Very reasonable prices for the quality, size and taste!! My only recommendation for the future customers is make sure you ask if certain things are included that the cashier asks because most of the time cheese and peppers will cost extra which will eventually make everything cost more. Still loving Kathy De's and very thankful to have them in Bridgeport! We went recently and tried two different sandwiches- the chicken parm and the breaded steak sandwich. They were both excellent! The chicken parm was truly standout, though, and it's our favorite sandwich from Kathy De's so far. The seasoning was really good, such good flavor, you could see the herbs. So far our front runners are the char chicken and chicken parm. It's going to be hard to find a better pair. "LARGE" salad is very small and not a great value for the price, ESPECIALLY IF ORDERING FROM 3rd party service. I had to call and send a picture to the store because I was sure it was a mistake in the size they sent. For future reference, just call the store directly to order delivery. Really enjoy this place. Friendly owner and great food! I've only tried the billy boy, but my boyfriend has liked the rio and Cajun sandwiches. Have also heard the meatloaf special on Wednesdays is good so wanting to try that soon. It's been a while since I had a good sub so I decided to get delivery from Kathy De's. My only issue is whoever took my order over the phone it seems as though she was irritated I even stopped to ask her if she was okay. Other than that the food was good as expected. I wish I would have gotten a chance to have their bow tie chicken noodle soup but it was sold out as well as the meatloaf and mashed potato special that they have on Wednesdays!
