The shrimp was perhaps a bit too thickly breaded & not as done. Son had salmon lover: spicy salmon roll & salmon nigiri. He enjoyed it & I even tasted it! The accompanying miso soup was pretty standard. The salad was fine. Hubby had udon beef stir fry. He liked it! I ordered a volcano roll & it was good. It was pretty rich! The sushi rolls i got here were so good I didn't want the dining experience to end. I got the colorful roll and the sweetheart rolls and i would recommend them to any spice tuna lovers pie they. I've been here a couple times. The first time I got the chirashi and today I got the seafood udon. The service is friendly and prompt. Both meals I have had here were unremarkable; that is, it didn't leave a good nor bad impression with me. The food is good, not great, not bad. Maybe next time I will try the hibachi. The thing about this place is they have a large variety of Japanese food to eat. We enjoyed our meal at Kiku's. Located in a tucked away spot in a shopping plaza area, the restaurant is unassuming from the outside but cutely and tastefully decorated on the inside. I took advantage of the lunch Bento box which came with a delectable clear soup (vegetarian) and a crisp green salad with citrus ginger vinaigrette which was quite tasty. I selected salmon teriyaki for my entree and it was well prepared and came with great accompanying sauces. We also had crab rangoons and those were some of the best I've tasted and they seemed to include high quality ingredients. Our service was attentive and excellent and the food was fresh tasting and included lots of fresh flavors. July 29 2023 - 7 for dinner: We went back with some relatives and I need to modify my take-out impression. The shrimp and vegetable dish my wife ordered was fresh and crisp vegetables. The chicken vegetable fried rice still has no vegetables in it?? I ordered multiple vegetable sushi wrapped in seaweed. The visit was random as I was passing by and noticed it. I had never heard of it before and I believe it is relatively new but I may be mistaken. we were the only customers in the place at lunchtime. This is a new restaurant off our Key so we decided to give it a go. They have a Hugh menu with Hibachi entrees and Sushi. My wife tried the Hibachi Salmon which is served with soup,salad, vegetable and rice. I chose the Hibachi combination with the Filet Mignon and Lobster. Both dishes were delicious. They have lunch specials, Teriyaki and Tempura dishes. Service was great and a cute, clean restaurant. Great addition to our area. We'll definitely be back to try additional menu items. read more

All sushi is NOT created equal. My daughter and I recently tried the new sushi restaurant and we have to agree with the other one star rating on Google. Maybe other people are just excited for a new restaurant to come to Osprey that they believed it should get a 5 star rating. We dine out at sushi restaurants enough to know that 1) Publix $5 sushi days is fresher 2) this restaurant lacks attention to detail that other restaurants have. We were able to seat ourselves , the girl flopped our menus down a few napkins and chop sticks. Catherine was our server . She brought our drinks and walked away rather quickly . We knew what we wanted . As she walked around aimlessly, we finally got her attention to place our order. Ordered cheese fried wonton n miso soup as appetizers. Sat there about 10 minutes waiting . She happened to walk by and I asked would we be getting our soup and appetizer before our dinner? I could see the sushi chef pretty much done with our order. She says " oh sorry". Thinking she forgot to put in the soup and app order. She brings them out . They look good but the cream cheese in all 6 were cold inside . It was hard to get her attention. Wasnt even that busy . Our sushi order quickly arrived . She dropped it off amd quickly walked away . Other restaurants will point to each of the sushi and let you know what you ordered . They didnt have the usual tiny bowls to put your soy sauce in . There was no presentation at all . And it looked very sloppy . We were unable to pick up with chopsticks and dip without it crumbling in a bunch of pieces . The rice didnt even fully coat the shrimp . Smelled fishy and all tasted the same . Nornally we wont have leftovers at restaurants because its good and fresh . But took it home and threw it out . Thought at maybe it was just us but we shared our thoughts with each other and it was the food we didnt care. Told the server about wontons. She didnt offer to heat them up and it was left on our bill. Ambience is good . Thats the only 5 star i can give . Slow service . No attention to detail and sloppy sushi read more
