He also let us know what issues to look out for in the future or when it might be a good time to look into a new unit. But prior to Ranjeet, we've had companies not diagnose a thing and would just push a new unit quote on us. So it is refreshing to see someone who wants to take care of the customer with honesty and communication. Overall, Ranjeet is a top notch owner. He is very kind, honest and most importantly, seems genuine. He even remembered little details of our conversation from 3 years ago. While I'm not a plumber, I'm reasonably handy and felt it might be something I could fix with the proper tools. I contacted Allbritten and scheduled a service call. Pricing was not discussed beforehand because I was told the plumber would need to assess the work and use a company pricing system to determine the cost. The plumber arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and explained that he had performed this type of repair many times before. After evaluating the situation, he returned with a quote and described the work in great detail, comparing the complexity to a surgical procedure. I interrupted and simply asked what the repair would cost. I was given a price range of more than $500 on the low end and more than $800 on the high end. When I asked what would happen if the repair only took 10 minutes, I was told the company charges flat-rate pricing regardless of how long the work takes, although he could contact his supervisor to see if the price could be reduced. I declined the repair based solely on the quoted cost, paid the service-call fee, and we parted on good terms. Afterward, I went to Home Depot, purchased a pipe extractor kit for less than $15, and removed the broken pipe threads myself in under 10 minutes. My issue is not with the technician, who was polite and professional throughout the visit. My concern is with a pricing system that can result in a quote of $500 to $800+ for a repair that, in this case, required a simple tool and only a few minutes of work. I encourage homeowners to get multiple estimates, ask detailed questions about pricing, and consider whether a repair is truly as complex as the quote suggests.

My biggest concern was that the company began tearing off my roof before obtaining the required city permit. I wasn't informed until after the roof had already been removed. When the city questioned my patio cover, I had to work directly with them to prove it was part of the home's original construction. The job site was also poorly managed. During demolition, the crew covered my jet ski with roofing debris and staples instead of simply asking me to move it. Communication was lacking throughout the project, and there was very little supervision. The crew also damaged my patio cover during demolition. The contractor claimed it was pre-existing due to dry rot, despite previous repairs and the city's only requirement being replacement of one small section. That section was left unfinished, and I was asked to pay a change order to have it painted, as well as another change order to repair the patio cover damage. For the premium price I paid, I expected professionalism, accountability, and quality customer service. Instead, I experienced permitting issues, property damage, poor communication, and repeated requests for additional charges. A friend recently asked me for a roofing recommendation. Had my experience been positive, Magellan's Roofing would have earned that referral. Instead, I recommended looking elsewhere

We contacted DPD on the recommendation of a friend to replace our split system, Doug Galvani came down the next day and gave us a quote. We got two other quotes, and DPD came in at half the competition's price and for better SEER Lennox equipment than the competition. Doug Galvani was fantastic, and so was his install crew. The day I signed the offer they offered to come in and install the next day. Told them I did not have the money ready yet, but they said no problem, catch up with you later. They came promptly at 8, and were done by 2:30. They were friendly and professional and did a great job. Included new wifi digital thermostat and carbon monoxide detectors. They even brought our garbage and recycling bins in from the street! I am shocked that such honest and competent contractors are still out there! Don't waste your time with anyone else who will make you sit through long presentations then give you quote for a ridiculous amount, just go through DPD. I am sure Doug knew when he gave us the quote that after we looked around we would come back to them, and he was right. If we could give them ten stars we would! read more

They were by far one of the lowest prices with the most knowledgeable and professional sales reps. He made us feel at ease in all of our decisions. He answered all of our questions and concerns. He did not try to upsell us. We got a number of quotes and all of them told us different things we "needed". When I asked John our sales rep about these "needs" he put the answers in logical, simple to understand terms. He eased my wife's worries and in the end, that's all that really matters lol. As far as the install, it couldn't have gone more seamlessly. The guys were very friendly and professional. They were here when they said they would be, and they were finished when they said they would be. The install went flawlessly. The only thing that happened was they accidentally cracked the cover to the attic entry. The next day they had a guy out here to patch it up before they even left the site. Just had a 3 ton Lennox installed with all new duct work and they placed the registers in different places in every room. Our old unit was over 30 years old and our house never got cool. They finished today and this is the first time in 13 years that I felt our house truly cool down in every room! They did an awesome job!! From the beginning they were prompt, friendly, helpful and fair. The salesman, John Calandri, came out to my house promptly,listened to the concerns we had, and gave me a very fair quote. Donald P Dick is one of the more expensive heating and air conditioning companies around. They charge $80 every time they have to come out to visit you, even if it's their fault. That's just the service fee for them coming out. I had them come out to replace a thermometer that had gone bad, and a couple weeks later it still didn't work. They wanted to charge me another $80 just to come out and look at the thermometer again. I complained to Jim who didn't do crap. I would not recommend them if you want to save money, call around, there's companies now that will give free estimates to any kind of work that you might need done to your home. read more

The best service! We called John at Donald P. Dick about our failed rooftop HVAC unit on a Thursday, and within 10 minutes he provided us with a fair quote for a replacement. They had someone out the very next day to take measurements and even brought us a portable AC, which was a lifesaver since it was over 100 degrees outside! I was assigned this company through American Home Shield to diagnose an issue with my AC unit. During the visit, the technician told me the system needed refrigerant and explained that my home warranty policy would only cover $10 per pound. I told them I wanted to do some research before approving any additional charges. That's when the real problem started. The phone number listed for the company appears to go straight to voicemail, and despite multiple calls during the hours they instructed me to call, I never received a callback. After repeated failed attempts to reach them, I contacted American Home Shield and requested a different contractor because I could not get anyone from Clovis Heating and Cooling to respond. I was then informed by American Home Shield that Clovis Heating and Cooling had already closed my claim and classified it as a pre-existing condition. This was shocking, especially considering I had been actively trying to contact them and had received no communication explaining that decision. In the end, I paid for a service visit, got no meaningful follow-up, couldn't reach anyone at the company, and had my claim closed without any discussion. The lack of communication and customer service was unacceptable. If you're considering using this company, be prepared for unanswered calls, unreturned voicemails, and a potentially frustrating experience. I hope this review saves someone else the time, money, and headache that I went through.

He found that 2 clogged water pipes were causing the leak. Not only did he clear the pipes and fix the issue, but he also removed a dead rat from the attic that we did not even know was there. He suggested adding a safety switch to the pipes to prevent future leaks, which was helpful advice. The service was fast, efficient, and professional. The price was right on par for the type of work that was done, making it a solid value. I would not hesitate to call them again for future services and will recommend them to others.

We started working with Roo's in March. They came out and told us that our AC unit was working and…read morenothing needed to be repaired. This is after we had another company come out and tell us that the evaporator coil was broken. We contacted Roo's because they are a Lennox specialist. Our unit stopped working in July and we contacted them about getting our AC repaired. John N. came off as helpful and responsive to our concerns and said he was going to come out on Monday. Monday comes and we get a phone call saying that he looked over the report from the last time someone came out and that he could tell the evaporator coil was indeed broken. He sent an estimate for what that was going to cost to get fixed. While on the phone with him we told him that we thought the motor on the unit might be broken as well and that we would like him to come out and check on that so we could get everything fixed at once. He stated that it wouldn't be necessary for him to come out and that it could be worked out when he came on Wednesday to repair the unit. Wednesday comes and John N. sends two technicians but doesn't show up himself. They finish the evaporator coil repair and try to turn on the unit. The motor is indeed broken. John N calls and lets me know that we have to wait two more days for the part and that it is going to cost extra money. Mind you all these parts are under warranty. I tell him that I think extra cost should not be put on my family because of mistakes the company has made up to this point. I call the office upset that now I have to wait two more days for the repair and this is after I asked John N to come out and check this specific part that ended up being broken. All of this after I had someone come out in March and told me everything was fine. I ask to talk to the owner and get told he will contact me. I have to call again the next day and still don't get in contact with the owner. I am told that the company wants to make this right for me. Friday comes and a new technician is scheduled to come out, John Y. He is friendly and gets to work. He finishes up and gives me the total bill which includes labor for the motor. I tell him that I don't feel like this is making things right and that someone had told me that I wouldn't be charged for that when I called the day prior. He calls the manager and I finally get to talk to him. I explain everything that has happened and he initially offers me a discount. I tell him that I don't feel like this is fair compensation for all the stress I have been through. I had to find someone where else to stay for 3 extra days because of a lack of communication due to his employees. He tells me that he is going to get to the bottom of the situation and will call me back. He calls back shortly and tells me that he recognizes all my concerns and that he is going to take off the charge for the labor for the motor. I really appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns and feel like he did right by my family. I will continue to use this company to do check ups and repairs because I appreciate that while mistakes were made, in the end they did right by their customers and took ownership for it.

The technician gave us a complete estimate and waited patiently while we considered options. No pressure whatsoever. Almost a month later we hired Roos. Our job was not an easy one as we changed over to electric from gas. The workers arrived on time and dressed cleanly. As the men were working I called in and asked for a quote for changing out our second unit. The owner came to the house and gave me a quote in person. We signed off and by the end of the week we had two beautiful new systems. This was the most professional group I've ever come across. Not only that, we got a smoking deal! What a value! Do not go anywhere else for your HVAC system service! Roo's is definitely the best!

Darren knows what he's doing and actually takes the time to service your system, not just try to sell you a new one. I have an older AC unit, and they've kept it running year after year with honesty and skill. They don't pressure you, they don't upsell, and they treat your system like it was their own.
