Holy smokes. This has to be one of the best ice cream and chocolate shop I've ever been! When you walk in, the smell of chocolate and fudge and ice cream is sooo good! I didn't even knew this was a chain until I got back home. This is a must try place while vacationing in Clearwater Beach! I will have to come back and try their other food items. This place isn't cheap though, but for an indulgence, it is worth trying. Yum. read more

You can look at my post history, as I am not one to post negative reviews but I think this is warranted. I ordered a chocolate malt. Very simple request. What I got was a milkshake (I don't like milkshakes FYI) that cost almost ELEVEN fucking dollars. The cup is barely five inches in height too. Huge rip off to get something that I did not even want. I could have gone to any fast food restaurant and have gotten the same product at a fraction of the cost. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

The only reason i put four stars is because of the price. It's a bit pricey but, the ice cream is totally worth it here and the amount is more than enough! I absolutely loved the toasted coconut. Will be back again! read more

Everyone was super friendly when we popped in here! The ice cream looked great and I wish we would have purchased some. We ordered the white chocolate covered Oreo, while chocolate dipped pretzel, and the milk chocolate dipped rice krispy. No complaints but nothing to die for! Cute little shop though! read more

The waffle cones are so yummy and fresh! Definitely have to get a waffle cone for the ~full experience.~ It smells so good in here, too! We have gone to 2 Kilwins locations and found consistently good service and large(ish) ice cream servings. There are also so many ice cream options, but we found out not all locations carry the same flavors. If you find a flavor you really like get it while you can! read more

Couldnt tell you how the icecream was. As we entered the business, my 6 year old son frantically announced he had to go to the bathroom really bad. I also had my three year old in tow as well. I asked about their restroom, as we were going to be paying customers as was told there was not one. I understand no public bathrooms, but it was obvious my son was about to wet himself and I was desperate. They suggested walgreens a block away. I asked,incredulously, if they had absolutely no bathroom back there for him to use as it was an emergency.I even stated that I am disabled myself and cannot be walking around (just as my mother who dropped us off walked in I left to go next door to see if another business would be more kind to a disabled mother and two young children.) I understand the establishment not wanting beach goers making a mess in the restrooms all day, but given the fact I was obviously struggling and my son was about to wet himself (and planned to get icecream as well as my mother dropped us off there to do so) an exception should have been made. My mom apparently stayed behind and let them know how ridiculous they were and the young lady said she "wasnt in charge" and even shrugged her shoulders. Common human decency goes a long way, and I hope that people looking up icecream places choose more disability and family-friendly establishments for their icecream outings. read more

Walkable distance from the Pier 60 in a busy street, Kilwins offers many options of house-made chocolate and favorite ice cream flavors: french vanilla, old-fashing vanilla, butter pecan, fudge brownie, praline pecan. The ice cream can come in a cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone as traditionally, but also can be served in a waffle bowl, which actually was waffle cone placed neatly in a plastic bowl. This bright idea helped customer a lot eating ice cream while driving or walking the beach. The ice cream flavors which I ordered were chocolate and espresso which turned out to be pretty smooth, creamy, and tasty. However, the waffle cone was bland and tasted just fine like sugary. Went to buy a drink, entered the store with some southern hospitality asking the workers how their day was and I was ignored, bought my product and cashier was quick and well, but I went to leave the store saying goodbye and have a good day, so they all stared at me, with no response, then I retracted my statement and told them to have a bad one! Make sure you tell them have a good one and see the smirks on their faces. The ice cream was tasty, but the prices and the service were lousy. The teenage girl behind the counter gave us icy-cold service; not a smile to be seen. You know the feeling where the employee acts like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. When I'm paying ridiculously high prices for simple ice cream, I at least expect to be treated with kindness. How hard is it to just be nice? As for the ice cream itself, my wife and I enjoyed the Oreo and the Cookie Dough flavors. We ordered a scoop of each of those in a cake cone, which came to $7 (with tax). That's some serious coin for a simple dessert, if you ask me. But, the scoops were generously portioned, so we were able to split it between the two of us. read more

We tried praline pecan, superman, salted caramel, and cappuccino chocolate chip. All of the flavors were very good, staff attentive and kept the line moving so we didn't wait long at all. They also had chocolate, popcorn and other treats for sale. read more

My family and I have been going to Kilwin's across the country for years and look forward to getting a sweet treat from here every time we go on vacation. On Easter 2022 we planned to go after dinner, so my mother called to make sure they were opened; we were confirmed that the store closed at 10. After dinner I walked my grandfather and young brother to Kilwin's and arrived at 9:48. As my brother opened the door, a young woman locked the door in his face and told him they were closed in a very impolite manner. I then asked what time they closed, and they confirmed the closing at 10 but stated that they wanted to get the line out the door by 10, which is understandable. I then looked at the line to see two people waiting to be served. This left both my young brother and grandfather very distressed on Easter. Thankfully KP Sweet Home was just down the street! read more

We always get the chocolate orange peel- so delicious and my wife doesn't like chocolate with fruit flavors and she always buys this. We have enjoyed everything we've had from Kilwins but I have to say this is a once in a while treat- not because it's sweets but because this place Is pretty pricey. I think orange peel is $33 a pound- we usually get a 1/4 pound because it's so expensive even at a 1/4 lb and that's the smallest amount we can get. read more

Great location on the main street that has a variety of desserts, chocolates, and ice cream. I liked that they have a variety of ice cream flavors that are unusual than most ice cream parlours. We had the following Turtle, Sea Salt, Dolce de Leche, Lemon Sorbetto. Maybe a bit over priced for my liking tho. read more

Just left from there. I had ordered two scoops of the cake batter for 10 dollars. I only had a couple licks barley dented it. I went and asked and the stuck up girl said I had to buy a new one. I barley touched it. She wasn't nice about it either. I literally threw it away in the garbage right in from of her and walked out. I wasted 10 dollars on something I didn't eat. If I could give it a negative 5 I would. Also get employees that actually enjoy their job. Those three (2 boys and 1 girl) were goofing off. Wish they would have refunded me. I called twice to ask for one but they won't answer. Really upset. I want my money back read more

Ice cream is mid tier but not exceptional by any stretch. Fudge smelled heavenly. Chocolate $33/lb is way overpriced. Clean shop but no bathroom or water cups other than bottled water to buy. No indoor seating either. read more

Horrible. Went in for the ice-cream because another location down the street said they were closed - even though they had a group of people sitting inside and it was well within business hours? Fucking Clearwater. Anyhow, wow - just absurd. The pricing. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Its FUCKING ICE CREAM! Not gold! Besides, its NOT very good and very limited flavors. A mile or two down the street - you can get over 100 flavors for only $3 per scoop. This place charges $5.50 for a single without a cone - IF you want a cone - its $2 more! That's $7.50 for a single scoop... and its not like they're hooking you up with a big scoop or anything like most ice cream parlors will do - nope this is a standard scoop size - nothing more. Just AVOID it. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere. Get something fun like Smurf ice cream. Fuck this place! I hope they go out of business - I mean - HOW DO THEY MAKE ANY MONEY? (I'm being sarcastic.) This is one of those "Let's Go Brandon!" places. Not Freedom-loving Florida! read more

9:00pm on a Sunday night, the line was almost out the door. However, it didn't take long to place our order. They offer samples if you can't make a decision. They had over 20 flavors and they can be in bowls, cones or turned into shakes. Highly recommend the Kilwins tracks! One scoop was just enough. Also purchased the white chocolate covered Oreos - delicious! Just a warning, it's easy to spend $10 or more in here. read more

Stopped in to buy some Kettle Corn but four people were trying ice cream flavors and ordering their stuff. A young girl was cleaning the sink so I asked if she knew how much for the corn twice...she didn't acknowledge my presence. After waiting a few more minutes, the other employee told me she's not trained to deal with customers but wait and she would help me...sorry but that's just rude. I'll shop elsewhere! read more

Kilwins is my favorite ice cream place. Any time I see a Kilwin's, I feel obligated to stop and have a chocolate peanut butter scoop in a waffle cone. It is the most decadent treat and always hits the spot. This particular location is located right across the street from the beach, making the ice cream an even more welcomed treat. The day I came in, the service was fast. They not only offer ice cream, but also a full home made candy shop (with fudge). I'm not often in an area with a Kilwin's, but when I am I always make sure to TREAT MYSELF! Do yourself a favor and do the same! read more

Kilwins is and always will be my favorite ice cream shop. To keep it short and sweet, we were in the area and after walking around after lunch decided to stop by and get a little dessert! I got my usual (which I haven't had in years) - pistachio in a waffle cone. It's the best and it never gets old. The staff is friendly and attentive. The interior is clean. Parking can be difficult to find. We were parked elsewhere in the area, but if you're coming specifically to Kilwins, it might be tough finding a spot. read more

The ice cream was really good here. The prices were a little high, there was no room inside. We were constantly trying to push our way to the front to see what they had, and there was maybe 10 people inside. Also, nowhere to sit and eat ice cream. They had a table outside but it was only for 4 people. I'd eat there again for the ice cream, but they should put some more effort into displaying their desserts, ease of service, and put some more seating in. read more

"Well, if there's a long line it's got to be good right?" That's what went through my mind when I passed by this place looking for ice cream. Next time I won't use that logic. Not that this place was bad, but for a $6 cone (that's for a single scoop) I expect to be mesmerised. They give a large portion which is good. The ice cream itself however wasn't that great. I got chocolate peanut butter but there was barely any peanut butter taste in my scoop. Also the waffle cone was just okay and it didnt taste nearly as spectacular as the shop smelled from making them fresh. It was a little stale and even though it was sitting under a heat lamp it wasn't warm. For my taste preference I probably should have asked for a fresh waffle cone if that is something they accommodate. Overall the cone didn't taste horrible, but I waited in a long line just to be underwhelmed. Plus there is a place that sells ice cream a few doors down that probably tastes the same for less. I wouldn't recommend waiting in line for this but if you pass by and there is no wait, the portions are worth stopping in for. Plus the other desserts they sell - pretty much chocolate covered everything's - look good too. read more

Chocolate is great, service even in the Post Normal COVID world we live in is terrible. They have two registers, we have been to Kilwins dozens of times (only for chocolate) and are accustomed to being ignored for the typical ten minutes. Last night we were told that everyone had to wait in the Ice Cream line (after standing by the chocolate register for ten minutes), which was out the door. Food quality is King and Kilwins has this nailed. Not understanding why they are not accommodating to folks that only want to purchase Chocolate? read more

So on our little clearwater beach vacay there was tons of amazing seafood and I was in search of a little reliable candy/ice cream shop and thanks to yelp, I found Kilwins, which was like a seven minute walk from our hotel and we definitely made several appearances here during our trip. I didn't go for the ice cream even though it was hot outside because it wasn't made on site but rather brought in here so I decided to focus on their chocolate goodies and boy, was everything amazing. From the hazelnut chocolate truffles to the dark chocolate coconut clusters (which I'm yet to find here in Chicago) to the nutty almond toffee bars, everything tasted super fresh and amazing. I have to say that the prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for and I'm so happy that we found this place to satisfy my pretty in demand sweet tooth. There is a 10% off with a yelp check in which may help a little or at least save you on tax since all the goodies can add up. I did try their fudge and it was a little on the over sweet side even for me so I would pass on that unless you love a lot of sugar or it would be nice if they made a dark chocolate fudge for the richer tastes of chocolate lovers. I will definitely be back and may get some ice cream next time on their freshly made waffle cones. Oh, and the people working here are super friendly which is always a big bonus in my book. read more

There was so many sweets to choose from. I wasn't sure if I wanted a caramel apple, fudge, ice cream, or candy. I decided on ice cream, but it took me awhile to decide on the flavor because there were so many to choose from. I got turtle ice cream in a waffle bowl and almost on the way out got a caramel apple with chocolate drizzle, but left without it because of the price. If I were to go back to the area I would go back and get an apple next time. I would say if you are craving ice cream that is different than chocolate and vanilla this is the place to go to get your fix. read more

We were hanging out at Opal Sands and my husband wanted ice cream. He walked over. It's next to a newly painted pink motel called Abode. It also has a unicorn bench in front. My fave ice cream here is Purple Haze - black raspberry with a black raspberry crinkle and dark chocolate raspberry cups. They did not have it though. He ordered us a dulce de leche and a red velvet scoop. Red velvet was better and dulce was too melted. They also have sorbets and milkshakes. The small scoop was quite big. I really wanted a kid's scoop which they don't offer. They gave him his scoops of ice cream and he came back quite quickly.

The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! The grouper entree was okay, but the piece of fish I got looked like a baseball in that it was thick and sort of round? It made it just kind of tough and overcooked on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside. The chicken fried rice was good, but nothing to write home about.
