Love, love, love how thorough, kind, and transparent Dr. Debbie Kim and her staff are! They can speak both English and Korean if one or other is more comfortable for you. I do not have vision insurance, so they made sure to let me know that a contact lens exam was not covered by my general health insurance. They also offer a rebate for contact lenses if you purchase through them. If you are a first time patient, they recommend you fill out their new patient form either online and send through email or print it out and bring it in for your appointment. This helps get you in and out quickly if you're uncomfortable with being out due to the pandemic. All staff are also masked, and there is a glass partition between the reception and the waiting room. I noticed Dr. Debbie Kim also held up a piece of transparent plastic between herself and me when she had to lean in closely to examine my eyes. I truly appreciate how thorough Dr. Debbie Kim is. She is the most detail-oriented optometrist I've ever had. She is mindful of small details like your mask potentially creating condensation on the examination tools, which could inhibit the accuracy of the exam. She really takes her time to make sure that your vision is checked accurately. I've had optometrists in the past who rush me through the exam and leave me with an inaccurate glasses prescription. So I'm happy with how calm and precise she is. After my exam was done, and I had gone home, I realized I forgot to ask for a copy of my glasses and contact lens prescription. I emailed them the same day of the exam, and they got back to me the day of with a copy of my prescription. The entire process was so smooth. I got my prescription from a new doctor and their glasses were prohibitively expensive so I went to Dr. Kim's to check their selection. Adrien was extremely helpful in finding me prescription sunglasses. I never felt rushed and he found me a pair that really worked. Additionally, when I went to pick them up the prescription seemed off. After double-checking he confirmed that the prescription was the one ordered. I may be a little biased since Dr. Debbie Kim has been my optometrist for years, but I do continue to user her services although her office is a two-hour drive from Philadelphia area (where I live now). I tried taking a shortcut once by using a local optometrist, but the prescription glass I got was unusable. Why? Because, I need progressive lenses (a "bi-focal"), which I need to see things close (like a computer screen, which I stare at all day) as well as far (for driving). I could not focus on my computer screen clearly. So, I went back to Dr. Kim again, and she was able to measure for a more precise prescription that allowed me to see clearly again. She also has an optician, who is a wiz at fitting my glasses to my face perfectly. Finally, her selection of glass frames are outstanding, from Cartier to Silhouette (which is what I use currently). I have gone to several optomotrists and I have not been treated as well as I have been with Dr. Debbie Kim. She takes the time to explain to you whatever confusions or questions you may have about the health of your own eye. She also is kind and patient. I believe she has been in this practice for quite a while and it shows through her professionalism and expertise. Dr. Kim takes the time to make sure all of her patients are treated fairly and accurately. Her staff, too, is great at making you feel welcomed in the cozy little office! If you don't know where to go for your next (or first) eye exam, Dr. Kim will definitely be able to take care of you. I know she has mamy patients who have been coming to see her about their eyes since ten plus hears ago. The worst experience. They could have assisted me better! I have my examination last November 2017 and sent me a bill March 26, 2018. I went there twice just to bring the insurance card the first time it was the wrong insurance card so I have to come back then the second I hand in the GHI insurance and I even asked if there's anything that I need to do they none cause I'm not familiar of my insurance card. Here comes March 26, 2018 a bill from their office telling me to pay for the eye examination cause they don't accept GHI. They could have told me during the time I hand in the insurance card that they don't accept such card (GHI)! Defeats the purpose of paying insurance card. Now I also have to pay 25$ because they don't accept GHI??? Such costly and inconvenience! read more

I have been wearing glasses and contact lenses forever. This is the best eyeglass shop I have ever been to. Booking an appointment was very easy and smooth and the receptionist was very nice and kind. Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable and caring. She introduced herself when she came out of her office to take me in and welcomed me with her warm smile. She examed me thoroughly and continuously explained what she was doing and how my eyes were and answered my questions with full explanation. The eyeglasses selections are big and the optician Adrian was very helpful in terms of choosing a frame that was within my budget and all the other options for the lenses. I have been going to Dr. Kim's office since I was a little kid and as corny as it sounds, I must say that there really is no better place to go for your eye care needs. I recently moved to the city and have been to a couple places here but they were nowhere near as friendly and thorough as Dr. Kim and the rest of her staff. The prices are reasonable and they carry a wide range of frames (low end to very high end ie: Fendi, Tory Burch, etc.) I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family! read more

This is one doctor you should wonder is she more concerned about her clothes, jewels and exotic vacations than she is your eyes. She examine me twice. I am not use to wearing glasses. The first time she was able to correct my vision. Months later I noticed I was unable to see clearly in my right eye. Instead of sending me to a real doctor she said it was a stigmatism. No stigmatism exists, I have a hole in my retina, stage 4 because of her negligence. I need major surgery, I am a photographer, it is my shooting eye. She has destroyed my life. I have been going to Dr. Debbie Kim for many years, am very happy that she is my eye doctor. Her eye exam is thorough and accurate, she and her staff are very friendly, and her office atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Dr. Kim also spends time to work with me on my eye wear preference. When I wanted to start wearing contact lenses in place of glasses, she recommended several options taking into consideration my cosmetic needs. She really showed her care for what I needed. When I finally chose to wear glasses with reading prescription over the contact lenses, it was a perfect solution for me. Dr. Debbie Kim also accurately diagnosed stigmatism in both my eyes and gave me special contact lenses specifically for stigmatism which made a world of difference in my vision. The fact that she had those contact lenses available so that I was able to try them out on the spot really helped me see the difference right away. She also carries a lot of brand-name frames that I was able to choose all my new set of eye wear during the same visit. I am glad Dr. Debbie Kim is my eye doctor, and strongly recommend her.
