Kim photographed my wedding this past April, and working with her was a wonderful experience. From our first meeting, she was enthusiastic and put me totally at ease. When I explained that I have a seemingly genetic tendency to look like the proverbial deer in the headlights in photos (and that my parents share this tendency), she told me that many of her clients have the same concern, and explained how she would help us get comfortable in front of the camera (and take enough pictures that we were bound to get at least one good one). For our wedding, we had very few "must-get" shots, and Kim made sure to get them all. I didn't have many (any) ideas about what I wanted for our romantics and portraits, but Kim was totally on top of it. When she arrived at our venue, she scouted it out to find the best locations, and while shooting, she gave us some direction and kept us comfortable and relaxed. During our ceremony, Kim and her assistant were not in the way at all. I hate when wedding photogs get in the way of the ceremony, so I was glad that she made sure not to. The whole time, Kim was energetic (despite being 8 MONTHS pregnant!!), enthusiastic, professional, and fun. Her great attitude kept us happy and relaxed during the portrait sessions, which really shows through in the photos. She was also so easy to work with, always accommodating and full of great suggestions but never pushy. But as we all know, a photographer can be a total sweetheart, and it won't count for much if the pictures aren't good. Well, Kim's pictures were AMAZING. Way, way beyond what I ever expected. Kim was pleasant to work with but we didn't get very many creative, intersting, or detailed shots. This was several years ago and perhaps she has become more experienced in composing and directing people for shots. She's very professional, positive, and makes you and your guests comfortable in front of the camera.
