I also liked how I could see them on the screen. I found out I might have a TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) issue, so I'm glad I learned something new today. The dentist had me keep a piece of cotton in my mouth for 10 minutes to see if the soreness in my jaw would improve. I didn't realize how much my muscles ached from grinding my teeth at night. They gave me a referral for the TMJ, which I appreciated since no one else ever emphasized that the teeth grinding could become a serious issue that might need surgery as treatment. The entire cleaning session did take a bit longer, almost 2 hours, but they were trying to be thorough.

After the evaluation, she scheduled the surgery and paid the full amount upfront--about $3,500. Shortly afterward, she decided to cancel the procedure and requested a refund. Getting that refund turned into a nightmare. For over a year and a half, we repeatedly called and followed up, only to get delays, excuses, and endless runaround. The office seemed to have no urgency whatsoever in returning money for a procedure that was never performed. The most frustrating part was dealing with the financial coordinator. When I tried to help resolve the issue, I got a runaround for a couple months. Even more confusing, after speaking with me about the financial matter for weeks, the office suddenly claimed my daughter needed to sign HIPAA paperwork before they could continue discussing it with me. What finally got results? A formal demand letter. Amazingly, the refund check was issued the day after the demand letter was emailed and just two days after a hard copy was delivered. No one should have to spend over a year and a half fighting to get their own money back for services that were never provided. Based on our experience, I would not trust this office with my family's dental care.
