The office has been completely turned over--new staff, new doctor, and a completely different (and disappointing) approach to patient care. I arrived for my biannual cleaning only to find out the office had changed hands with zero notice. If you get a text asking to fill out "New Patient Information," be warned: they are treating everyone as a brand-new patient to justify unnecessary procedures. The Red Flags: Redundant X-rays: Even though I had X-rays done just last year, they insisted on taking them again immediately. Unprofessional Environment: The new doctor didn't introduce himself and was wearing a gray sweatshirt instead of scrubs or professional clinical attire. It felt very casual and unorganized. Aggressive Sales Pitch: Instead of focusing on my cleaning, I was bombarded with "treatment plans" and pressured into a consult with their in-house endodontist. It felt more like a sales pitch than a check-up. Rough Procedure: The cleaning itself was a nightmare. The doctor was not gentle--I experienced multiple painful numbing injections for a routine cleaning and significant bleeding. The suction was poorly managed, and the whole experience was worlds away from the care Dr. Sean used to provide. I felt completely blindsided. If you valued the gentle, professional care of the previous practice, you might want to look elsewhere. I will be canceling my follow-up and finding a new dentist who prioritizes patient comfort over upselling.

They were following up with me after receiving notification from the endodontist we had been referred to that her treatment was complete and she would need to get a dental crown. While on the phone, I asked her about their office policy, which the endodontist told me had prevented them from getting my mother's x-rays from Dr. Baek, which resulted in additional costs. At the time, I hadn't contacted Dr. Baek's office about it, but thought it really strange that they would not share the X-rays with a provider to whom they had referred us. When I brought it up during the call, the front office woman became really irate, stating that it was not her job to contact us to let us know that they would only release X-rays to the patient and that if we had called to request it, they would have released it to us. She said it was part of the HIPAA release forms that we had signed when we first registered with the office, which is not the point of why I brought this up. I was trying to convey that I would have appreciated it as part of their customer service to try and help out the patient as much as possible, rather than having them accrue unnecessary costs like this. Her absolute disdain at the thought of having to provide any "customer service," which apparently is NOT her job at all, was really the last straw. While switching between Korean and English, she also started using really disrespectful phrases, calling me "you" in the familiar form in Korean. I'm sure Dr. Baek is a fine dentist but there are similarly skilled dentists in the area, with far better staff who I can work with for my mother's dental needs.

Here you get amazing staff (and I use that term lightly-every single one of them are so elevated, professional and genuinely kind that they are more of team, happy to help you). You also get a dentist that takes the time to do what's right and best for you. He takes care of you on a human level and is patient and non judgmental. Here, you also get amazing results as well. Seven extractions (all the big teeth), 2 bridges, nine crowns and 2 plates later (8 months almost to the day). The ONLY discomfort I ever experienced was when they numbed me. They went over everything with me previous to my appt, set up financing and I never felt overwhelmed. My last appt I felt so much love because everyone truly saw what an amazing journey they walked me through. My entire family goes there now. PS, I was terrified of the dentist and wouldn't go routinely even when the problems piled up. Now my smile leads me everywhere I go. Just go. I finally drove to Prime dental care in person which was about 10 minutes away. I found out that the receptionist never emailed the form, and went to lunch without saying anything to the other employee. The person that was covering the recpetion desk wrote the form and gave to me within 5 minutes. I called the Endodontists office and let them know I got the referral form, due to this taking too long my treatement was rescheduled for next Wednesday. My appointment was at 11AM. The phone call between the offices happend at 11:20AM. I got to Prime dental care at 12PM. I was told at 12:10PM that the Doctor can no longer treat me today due to lack of time. Thanks to the recpetionist here deciding to ignore calls and go to lunch my root canal treatement will have to wait 5 more additonal days and I will have to take more time off from work. When I left the office I saw the receptionist that went to lunch in her car eating. I told her I had to come in person to get the form since she did not keep her word earlier. She did not even had the decency to say anything back. She just looked at me with this stupid deer in the headlights look. I reccommend not going here. I recently found this place on Yelp to transition from my old dentist in BP. I needed to find a…read moreplace closer to my house so it didn't take up much work time if I needed to take off early. I spoke to Jessica to make the appointment who was super friendly and helpful over the phone. On the day of, I had to call and ask about the parking situation. The back was joined with another office and wasn't well labeled. I didn't want to park and get towed. Back alley was a bit sketchy. The office space is clean, modern and upgraded. However, it was way too quiet (thoughts that came to my head; did I make the right decision to move here; whey isn't there anyone else) and I believe the A/C was off. It wasn't a terribly hot day but stagnant office air is not enjoyable as your are laying in the dental chair. When I went in, I had the pleasure of meeting Lita at the front desk. Greeted me promptly and had me fill out the check in forms. Soon after completion, I was called by Jun to the back for X rays. There was a cool 360 machine That I thought got everything without the bite down traditional x ray images. I was wrong. I sat in the chair next to do the traditional bite down ones. It was a more pleasant experience than usual. Some of my past dentists put it in such awkward positions I've wanted to gag. No gagging here. I soon met Dr. Chris who was overly Informative and easy to talk to. It is uncommon to have a dentist spend that much time with you. I feel like he may have gotten my life information during my hour visit. He explained they usually schedule fist time Patients 1.5 hours in case there are questions or issues to remedy. I was lucky that it was pretty smooth sailing. He showed me how to properly floss which was important for me to improve my future flossing. Their dental cleaning process offered numbing gel which is not usual but I figured I would be a good patient. The numbing gel tasted pretty terrible and I quickly made the mental decision never to do that again. I get the thought process behind it, less pain makes for better customer experience. Just take note it may not be for everyone. I did notice they don't do the gum checks like my previous dentist. He visually inspected it and said it was good. After the cleaning, Jun helped polish my teeth. I also asked for fluoride treatment after since my precise dentist offered this for protection. He said adults don't usually ask for this but he accommodated. He provided me with no eating and drinking instructions to max the effects. After everything was completed, I got a goodie bag with a brush and toothpaste. I checked out with Lita and booked my future appointment. I am still debating if this will be my permanent provider moving forward. Nice group of folks and got me home fairly quick which was nice.
