The chow main was really good, only had to wait 15 minutes for takeout. Will visit again.

Instead, we decided to stay and enjoy a meal. We started with hot tea and soup. The soup was definitely the highlight of the meal--flavorful, comforting, and served nice and hot. For our entrees, we ordered the lo mein and a fried rice combo platter. The lo mein was just okay and didn't really stand out, but the fried rice combo platter was excellent and full of flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed that dish. The restaurant itself felt a little tight in terms of seating space, but the atmosphere was still pleasant. Despite not getting to try the bakery items we came for, we had a good time, enjoyed our meal, and left satisfied. We'll definitely come back earlier next time to try some of those bakery specialties before they sell out! Service was great tho.. very cheerful

Sweet and sour pork and vegetables with meat had flavour. Partner was not happy with food. Soy sauce added to make food tasty. Usually when I order from most other restaurants I never add soy sauce because food is tasty when dish arrives. Plus most chefs are offended when you add condiment before tasting a dish. Chinese tea and fortune cookies were provided. Restaurant only had a couple of other sit down diners when we arrived. Staff was nice. Will order different dishes and dishes with with BBQ meat if I ever go back to see if cooks were having an off day today. Been awhile since I ate here. Entire bill was paid but my partner wanted cost reduced due to disappointment of dishes. Tables were a bit tight for larger parties but everybody appeared to be enjoying themselves still. Steady flow of customers that were tourists and locals to pick up, delivery service and purchased goods (meat and pastries) to enjoy outside of restaurant. Walls were nicely painted. Tables were clean. Located in Chinatown where there is street and parking lots. Partner is interested in trying meats at home in the future. In the past I purchased their BBQ meats, duck, etc. along with pastries to enjoy at home that were always tasty.

FOOD Stir-Fried Dried Green Beans ($19.95) The winner is this category would be Tropical Island Restaurant on Shelbourne; however, The Cozy Place offering would be close behind it. Decent with some crunch still; you can get it spicy or not. Ma Po Tofu ($19.95) You can order it meatless or minced pork; it's somewhat authentic. It does have some heat to it (for those sensitive to spice); however, it's pretty solid! === 3. SERVICE Service was good and professional on call-in, payment, wait, questions around the menu, and when the order was ready. English was fluently spoken by the lady working the front and the man cooking the dishes behind her. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a long, narrow restaurant - your group of 6, maybe 8 could fit at one table in the front. For everyone else, you're accommodated in tables of 2's or 4's along the wall. If bringing a wheelchair or baby stroller, I would stick to the table in the front. Parking is all metered on the street - note that the city has their parking enforcement office basically across the way working until 8pm, so put payment into the meters upfront even if you're coming by to do a quick pickup!

I usually go for the number combos (my favorite is #5), because they're the best value around: soup, carbs, protein, and veggies all packed into one plate for a great price. It's the kind of meal where you sit back halfway through and think, yep, this is why I came here. When I bring family, we always order the sweet and sour prawn family combos. They come out steaming hot, perfectly crispy, and there's always more than enough to share. Honestly, I never leave this place without feeling like I should be wheeled out in a barrel--I'm that full. The staff here are quick, friendly, and responsive, even when it gets busy. You can tell they've been perfecting this for over 30 years, because the food comes out consistently fast and flavorful. It's a hidden gem in Bellingham--one of those places that once you find it, you keep coming back

I picked it up and brought it back to Fringe. I have never complained about food. Im in the industry so it's not my personality. But we took the food out and everything had this weird jelly like film on everything. It was so gross I said this is absolutely inedible. I literally packed it up and went all the way back. I told them the food was horrible and we can't eat it. I never would ever do that but this literally was the worst food Ive ever had. They did refund me the 70.00 so one star for that!
